  • Decent Headset with one glaring design flaw

    The entire earpiece housing is held on by a piece of plastic at one pivot/contact point. Numerous examples online of failure at this exact location. Terrible design. The plastic housing becomes weak and eventually, the earpiece just snaps off. Not repairable at all.

    These were a bit tough to setup. They were definitely not plug and play. I had to email the mfg due to static and bad connections and we almost shipped them back. Tech support could not help but Reddit did. My son loves them so that a plus.

    It was a great headset until the base slowly started to crackle out now I'm left with a very flat sounding headset that is outside of return period. It was a great headset when it had full range now it sound horrible

    The sound quality was really quite bad. After looking online it appears that you need to download a 3rd party EQ to get them to sound halfway decent. I considered keeping them after spending a few hours on the 3rd party EQ and adjusting settings but for two reasons I ended up returning. 1) no matter what adjustments it always had a sound like I was in a tin can. I was able to get it to be halfway bearable but the quality never reached "good" IMO & it bothered me I had to go through all the trouble to get it to be just acceptable. 2) multiple different friends told me the mic sounded noticably worse than the one from a $20 headset I purchased on Amazon. I have a long history as a steel series fan but these disappointed me greatly.
