Good, maybe.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for the PS4. They sound fabulous! During chat, however, I noticed a crackling that I shouldn’t hear considering the price. I didn’t fidget with it at all yet so I am not sure if it was something I was doing. Looking online, it seems that I was not alone with that problem. Instead, I bought the Turtle Beach stealth 600’s and am using them without issues.

Massively overpriced for the issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having a wireless gaming headset that has great audio and good mic output is great, and to be honest, this headset does that quite well. But there's just so many ridiculously uncooperative details for this to be well thought out--and at $150, they're kind of unforgiveable. About 10-20% of the time when you power this on, it won't connect. Numerous times I will have to power on and off 3-4 times just to get it to connect to my pc correctly. If you walk out of range (which is very easy if you need to walk away for your pc for a minute while still wearing them--one of the perks of them being wireless), they will sometimes disconnect and will not reconnect when you're back in range. They also make constantly the most obnoxious, grating beeping noise if they're nearing out of range, which isn't great if you're still wearing them. But the real deal breaker in my opinion. You can't use these wired. I know they're meant to be wireless, but though they have a usb connection, it will not pass input and output data. My charger port broke, and these very pricey headphones are now unusable. They will still do input to be fair, but you cannot use them as dual input/outputs anymore. Long story short, they're solid if you use them in very basic settings, but they're far too expensive for the amount of silly snags. Also, they are massively uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The head support strap stretches out only after a couple of months of use and have to constantly tighten it, but it eventually runs out of length, and you have a very long end hanging off flapping around. The earpieces are not the most comfortable, but oh wait they offer a more cushioned one, but you have to buy it from them! The power cord started having connection issues after only about a year and would have trouble staying charged, which has not completely stopped charging. Would not recommend again. Good sound quality and easy to use. Too bad they didn't apply that amount of quality into the rest of the build of these headsets. Really wanted to like them.

No more steelseries again for me...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I plan on contacting the manufacturer for these headphones. I truly hate them in the current state these are in. After maybe two months (if that), they started not charging when plugged in. After doing a lot of research I was able to find a possible fix that someone on Reddit posted (hard resetting them seemed to fix this, at least for the moment. I don't have any faith that it won't start back up again). If you google search these headphones not charging, it is baffling on how many people have this same issue. I continuously have issues on discord where the mic won't pick up everything I say. I have checked and modified so many settings in both windows and any apps I try to use. The volume scroll to turn game sound up or voice sound up doesn't actually work...ever! And now, the new and most frustrating problem is they randomly shut off. They just shut off just typing this review. I am so completely done with the brand steelseries and I can guarantee I will never consider buying this brand again.

USB Charging Port Breaks..in no time!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These sound good and r bluetooth..but as soon as the power connector plug breaks inside the headset..goodluck..and mine broke like the 2nd time I used them..I had them sitting around past the warranty, I have many headsets. I ended up taking them apart, soldered a female usb to hang out a hole I drilled through the cup, so I could charge them.. but hey..they sit on the shelf again. My wired Seinhiezer Zero's blow them away.. 6yrs with the Zero's, Awesome headset. Arctic 7's what good r they if you can't charge them, & I don't like all the extra buttons & volume controls. ...so, be warned... do a search, u will see..

Customer service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is great from this headset, but it ends there. If you have a problem it is very time consuming and has to be handled through email. It will take around 3 weeks to get resolved. Steelseries issues an RMA credit to their website for replacement. Once you order the replacement it takes a week just to ship it plus ground transit time. I've searched everywhere for a phone number and when I asked them for one they "do not have phone support." If you buy I strongly encourage you to get geek squad in case you have a problem.

Mic Issues on PS4 (2019 Version)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally purchased The Arctis 3 and then decided to exchange them for the 7's due to the wireless feature and the poor sound on the 3's. Now I'm regretting the decision to go with Steelseries at all due to the problems I've experienced. First off, the 7's are being returned tomorrow because the mic is consistently failing on me. After an hour of use, my friends have reported that my mic keeps cutting in and out and they can't understand me. I tried power cycling the headset and the problem persists. I also downloaded the horrible SS engine app and tried as best as possible to ensure that all firmware is up to date. As far as I can tell everything I do have the latest engine software version. Second, Steelseries has a horrendous website for support and their application is confusing. I work for a very well-known tech company and have a good grasp on UI/UX design and app dev. For the life of me I could not figure out how to check if the firmware on the transmitter and the headset are up to date. The app is also telling me that I need to "activate" my headset but when I enter my serial number is says it cannot be found. Then when I click the link for "help" it takes me to a support document on how to register your Arctis 3 (I have an Arctis 7). Lastly, if you want support on your new Steelseries product you have to submit a ticket. Read the poor reviews on the web about Steelseries headsets and you'll find multiple instances where customers were told to permanently break their product in order to "troubleshoot" it. Nope, this one is going back to Best Buy. Even though the look and style of the Steelseries headsets is tempting, do yourself a favor and go with a more reliable brand with better customer service.

Would Not Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could not recommend this headset to anyone. The problems that i have with this headset is the sound of it. It is really a bad sounding headset with it sounding really tinny and don’t get to loud. And another thing that I don’t like about the headset is the comfort of it. I saw people really like the comfort but i found that when you have it on the plastic inside the ear cup push up agents you ear hurting it and not being able to play past 30 min. A head set brand that i can recommend is hyper x. You cant go wrong with hyper x

Will not last long
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset works amazingly well for a few months with no problems, but after those few months the micro usb will slowly start to get loose and then completely fall off. After the first Arctis 7 i bought, a was very careful with putting it to charge, but the problem persisted. I am now on my 3rd pair and the problem has come back to haunt me. DO NOT BUY WITHOUT WARRANTY! RENEW YOUR WARRANTY IF YOU BUY THIS PRODUCT!!

Meh
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a nice looking headset and the Bluetooth is great but it really didn’t preform well. Others online could barely hear me, i sounded muffled and quiet. Compared to my older hyper x there wasn’t much difference.

Terrible experience with first Steelseries product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed, the right earcup doesn’t work, there a great deal of static in the left earcup (regardless if mic is turned on or not, my guess would loose wiring or something internally?). Lastly, it wouldn’t connect to ANYTHING. This is the first Steelseries product I have purchased and will be the last. I bought it after reading the numerous positive reviews. I must have gotten a lemon-it happens, but I’ll stick with Razer or Turtle Beach for gaming headphone needs, my experiences with those brands have been A+.

Defective Product, terrible customer support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT BOTHER WITH STEELSERIES I have had this product for about a month, immediately noticed an issue with static from the headset. After attempting to work with their support team, they finally gave me some good advice after 3 weeks to just return it (though the packaging states to go to them before just returning it) but in the 3 weeks that I could have been helped I'm now stuck with a headset that sounds terrible. The customer support is reason enough to not ever bother with this brand.

Will NOT work on XBOX ONE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for my son to use on the newest XBOX ONE. It requires downloading an APP from the Xbox app store (probably a driver). That software demands you pay $30/year in a subscription. I refused to pay that HOSTAGE fee to make my product work. It then blocks you from using this headset on the XBOX ONE. I paid $117 for this headset and I CAN NEVER use it. Stealseries is committing fraud by blocking you from using your product without paying their $30/year hostage fee. Never buy any Stealseries product.

no good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the sound quality is awful, sounds like a $10 headset. when trying to download the drivers on PC it doesn't complete. The website does not install the "engine" properly and stalls, still downloading as I'm writing this review. do not buy these headphones if you know what good sound is supposed to sound like i repeat do not buy. Horrible product for the price point it is at.
