Overall, I really enjoy these headphones. - I have a larger sized head, but the ear cups have great cushion, and I really like both the aesthetic and weight distribution of the ski goggle band across the scalp. I wish the mic could go a hair longer, but I've been told I still come in quite clear and loud - Sound quality is "ok." If you're expecting noise cancelling or truly outstanding audio quality, this ain't it chief - The range of the propriety wireless adapter is actually quite impressive, albeit there are issues with interference with other devices on the 2.4GHz spectrum (routers, motion activated lights) - Breathability of the earcups are an issue in the Arizona summer, as they are less breathable than other headphones I've owned in the past - Not a big fan of the SteelSeries engine, seems overkill for the lack of options available, and the options that are available in the application are lacking clarity and effectiveness - Not a fan of the usage of various USB standards for charging and wired playback (e.g. to an Xbox controller) On the note of wired playback, these will work wired with an Xbox controller. I found I had to bump up the audio on the headphones themselves, and there is zero visual indication that the headphones are actually on in a wired state -- wish the manual or other reviews had mentioned that.

Good sound quality. Range reaches throughout my house, which makes runs to the kitchens or bathroom between games easier.

Switched from Sony golds to these arctis 7s. Arctis 7s sound quality is way better and provides a better noise cancelation do to the ear muffs blocking out outside noises. Minus one star due to sound chat issues on the ps4. It can not be adjusted with effecting the game sound itself. Ps4 software that is on the system itself doesnt work to balance chat and game sound either. This is the only pitfall of this headset. But the sound is amazing. I can hear footsteps. Didnt know footsteps was in games.

Premium headset with average mic. The sound on this headpiece is amazing, but the mic is pretty average. The adjustable headpiece makes it comfortable on your head but the foam earpieces are not as good. IF you are looking for a gaming headset with excellent sound and control but average mic and ear comfort this is for you.
