Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the excellent sound quality and comfortable fit of the Arctis 7P Wireless headset. Many also praise the long battery life and the convenient retractable microphone. However, some users note that the bass could be improved and that the maximum volume might be insufficient for some. A few also point out the use of a micro-USB charging port instead of USB-C as a drawback.

I had a wired pair of these bought for me about 3 years ago. A friend talked me into going wireless. And man we’re they right. So good! I Dont have to worry about bending, breaking or snagging cables anymore. And these are way more sturdy and comfortable than my RGB, “higher grade” wired version.

Best headphones I have ever have… definitely I have found a good pair of headphones after purchasing a lot of cheap one and broke after a few months. This ones looks solid I hope it last long.

I would like to start by saying that I've been using a pair of Astro A50s since 2017 so my standards for gaming headsets are fairly high and I was incredibly disappointed in this headset. I found the build quality to be underwhelming and the sound quality was tinny and flat. I know you can tweak to EQ presets online but I couldn't have been bothered because I found the headset to be uncomfortable. The ski mask headband made my hair feel wet and overall was uncomfortable but also keep in mind that I have a large head. It also gave a bad first impression when I picked it up and the headband flopped down like a slice of bad pizza or a banana peel. I also found the earcup material while a decent fit, to feel like a cheap pair of gym short on your head. The USB C dongle is also one of the worst designs I've ever seen. it either blocks all other USB ports next to it or you have to deal with an extremely long A to C cable. Three pros I will give this headset is that the battery life is excellent and that it works with Nintendo Switch with the dongle and it even works wired to the controller with Xbox. Its not a bad headset but when marketed as a high end headset with tons of awards on the box I was expecting more. If this was a $80-$100 headset I would recommend it but for $150 I find it underwhelming and not worthy of the high end badges on the packaging. Lastly the mic sounds fine. Not good, not bad just fine and will get the job done for voice chat but I wouldn't use it for live streaming or video voiceover.

This headset is comfortable even when used for long game time. Built to last. But, that’s all the pros that I can say about this headset. The speakers they used for this is sub-par, not in my opinion, just bast on what I experienced. The loudest that I could use this is about 60%, beyond that would be distorted audio. I tried to fix the issue by using the downloadable program, used compression on it and the end result is less than flat. That just made the quality of the audio felt like using a $50 cheap headset. I bought this headset just because I couldn’t use my a50 when ps5 first came out without optical port and the hdmi audio converter were out of stock. Good thing I bought a 2year warranty with this, as the sound quality just deteriorated after just a year of barely using it. It also doesn’t let you adjust between game chat and game volume. I had it replace with the next gen Astro A20 just to have a backup for my A50, and the difference was night and day! A20’s all 3 modes out of the box were immersive even when on full blast!

Cmon now steelseries... I own the arctis wireless pro for my pc and it’s amazing. Now I bought this new headset to match with my ps5 and the wireless dongle is just embarrassing.. whoever designed the usb c dongle needs to get fired asap. I understand you included a free type A connector but that is just embarrassing that once I plug in with the usb c I loose ONE more usb I could have been using for charging my controller. As for your other headset the arctis wireless pro I highly recommend instead of this.

Great headset! Favorite one I’ve owned so far. Sounds good, nice comfortable and adjustable headpiece. Retractable mic is nice for positioning and of course traveling. All the controls/dials are easy to access for fast adjustment. My only issue is sound EQ is non existent… UNLESS you have a pc and download the software etc. kinda nice having a button on the headset itself to scroll through different EQ presets like some of my other older headsets. Still love the headset great quality, sound, and battery life.

Pros: Really comfortable, quality material, great sound, amazing battery life, retractable mic, minimal controls easy to access, works with anything you can plug the Bluetooth receiver into Cons: Receiver takes up charging port on switch, receiver blocks front usb on PS5, with receiver plugged into consoles it defaults the audio to the headphones even when powered off. Max volume could be a tad higher. All of these are very minor annoyances in my opinion Overall: I really enjoy using these everyday on my PS5 and Switch lite. The sound quality, ease of use and delicious battery life make these headphones very enjoyable to have and use. No connection issues, no mic problems, no lag (even on switch) no brainer!

Best headphones for the price!!! I ended up purchasing these headphones after picking up my PS5 and these are, by far, the greatest headphones I have ever used playing first person shooter games. You can hear foot steps in every direction, in ever level of a building, and give you the advantage in a 1v1 fight in close quarters. Definitely worth recommending for serious gamers looking to become “better than average” as I would label these headphones.

Legit headset. Very very comfortable and sounds great. Not a lot of bass but not necessary for FPS games, which is what I play. The battery lasts long and mic sounds good. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the price is a little steep, and the side tone dial is pointless. I’d rather have a chat/game sound mixer instead.

This headset is AMAZING!! Now I bought these for my PS5, mostly because the Sony Pulse 3D headset was always out of stock. But I’m glad they were because these are the better option. The fit is VERY comfortable, feeling very lightweight on my head and the ear cups completely covering my ears. The battery life is 24 hours vs the Pulse 3D’s 8-10 hours. The Arctis 7P’s have a better build quality and sound great. The mic is very crisp and its retractable. The only drawback (if you can even call if that) is the fact that the PS5 don’t automatically route audio to the the Arctis 7p’s once they’re turned on… you have to manually go into the settings and switch it, which to me isn’t a big deal, but for some it might be. I’m highly satisfied with this headset!

These are great headphones for gaming since Steel Series is one of the best brands for gaming headphones. However, there are a couple of things that I think could be improved. I'll start with pros. Pros: -Wireless -Long battery life (24hrs) -Good mic -Comfortable so long gaming sessions -USB-C dongle is tiny so it won't stick out Cons: -Micro USB charging (like really dude, you couldn't do USB-C charging even though the dongle is USB-C) -Instead of game/chat audio adjustment, this particular model has a dial to control your own voice called sidetone. Honestly don't see how this is useful imo compared to the game/chat audio dial. -Won't work with Xbox Series X/S even though the Xbox version of this works with PS5 (complaining because I might pick up an Xbox in the future) Other than those complaints I have no issues with the headphones. They're pretty great, but I won't be able to fully test them out until PS5. So far they're doing pretty well.
