Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the excellent sound quality and comfortable fit of the Arctis 7P Wireless headset. Many also praise the long battery life and the convenient retractable microphone. However, some users note that the bass could be improved and that the maximum volume might be insufficient for some. A few also point out the use of a micro-USB charging port instead of USB-C as a drawback.

The best second party option for the PS5

I have the Playstation Pulse 3D Wireless Headset but I wanted to try these. I ended up returning the Arctic 7P as there are features you get from the Playstation 3D Pulse, as they are first party, that aren't available with the the 7P. I also didn't like that they have a micro USB port for charging. I watched several YouTube reviews and almost everyone raved positively about the SteelSeries 7P. They sound great, are more comfortable than the Pulse, they have a longer battery life and work farther wirelessly but in the long run I decided I on the Playstation Pulse 3D Wireless Headset. I have no problems wearing the Playstation's for extended periods of time, the mics are good and the sound is great. It's a close call. The &P are a the best option if you don't mind that they are second party and blocked out from several PS5 features. Oh, the 7P's also work great with Sony's 3D sound format as do all other headsets wireless or wired.

Previously had the PS Gold Headset for PS4. They worked well enough, but the fake leather lining on the headphones wore down over time and began flaking off every time I would wear them. I like that the earphone covers can be replaced on these if needed, though the stock liner is very comfortable as is the headset in general. The ski band allows for perfect size adjustment and ultimate comfort. The spacial audio sounds great to me, though I'm not an audiophile so I wont dive any deeper than that. I'm told that the mic sounds clear from those I've been chatting with in PS parties. The battery life is as advertised — I got around 20+ hours my first few times in use. My only issue so far is that I wish there was a volume knob to adjust game/chat levels.

Use this with my PS5 and love it. Battery life lasts ages. Much longer than the Sony branded headsets. Great sound, OK mic. My only gripe is micro USB charging

Pros- Comfortable Sound pretty good (on PS4 Pro) Mic is passable Compatibility is awesome with all of my devices Cons- Steel series customer service is a nightmare No chat mix dial (Sony is limiting this for all 3rd party headsets for some reason) I had to turn up Mic gain to be heard well Note this is all on PS4 Pro not PS5 yet. The reason for time contacting customer service is because my set was defective and has an issue where the LED on the microphone never worked. If you weren’t aware this LED indicates when you are muted and also indicates charging when plugged in.

Honestly what an excellent headset! Super comfortable and extremely durable. The headset is light and a perfect option for gamers who enjoying playing for long hours. My friends say I sound great when we’re chatting in a party and come through very clear. The 3D audio is also really awesome, epically when using the headset to play Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The environment really comes to life! From the sounds of passing cars to pedestrians shouting at you, it all sounds incredible! I bought the Arctis 7P for my PS5 and it was the perfect option. Also and awesome price for such a fantastic headset! I highly recommend these! You won’t be disappointed.

Comfortable, good sound quality and the mic sounds amazing. Only downsides are that the transmitter is a little big and covers the front USB port and the charging port for the headset is micro usb and not USB-C but if you are willing to spend a bit of extra money for a magnetic cable then that should do the trick. A good headset, nice quality, easily adjustable. The buttons are very well placed and cause no confusion at all. The mic does not auto mute when retracted if you did not know but that does not bother me. A very good gaming headset and I rate it a 10/10!

Incredible performance overall. Have always been a user the Sony PlayStation line of headsets from the gold to the platinum series which I’ve been using for the last 3-4yrs. Platinum provided great 3D audio but lacked severely in the bass dept and Bluetooth connectivity was a true pain. Audio loss was always expected and I went thru 3 Best Buy warranty replacements due to the loss connectivity. Steel series 7p eliminated this issue right off the back with the 2.4hrz lossless sound. I didn’t realize how much a victim I had been for the last yrs suffering thru Sony’s in and out Bluetooth connection. I purchased the 7p series as my 1st step outside of the Sony line to prepare for the launch of the ps5 since the pulse 3D headsets sold out in secs. I was worried at first but was Happily surprised once trying the headset. Comfort level was a instant 10. Cool soft plush ear muffs that were a pleasure to slide on. Snowboarder goggle straps or whatever you call it for the headband allows for the perfect fit and adjustment. Clear sound ,ample bass, and handles directional audio perfectly. I watch a ton of movies and Netflix and love using my headset for these functions. 4K uhd is taken to the next level with the immersive audio experience you get from the 7p series. Currently using on my ps4pro and can’t wait to try these out on my ps5 when it arrives and truly get to test out the new compatibility 3d audio!

I have previously owned a playstation Gold headset and a playstation Platinum Headset and I have to say this one is better than both. It is comfortable and fits well around the ears. It has high quality sound and a great microphone. The battery lasts a good amount of time and I dont have to worry about charging it every night. The only thing I like about the playstation headsets more is their ability to control the volume between the game volume and party volume. Other than that this headset is perfect.

I bought these to replace my Sony Platinums and I couldn’t be happier. These are way more comfortable, the mic is better, battery life is better, range is better, surround sound is just as good, and it has a usb-c adaptor to connect to switch wirelessly.

It’s one of the most comfortable headsets I’ve tried out of the headsets. The ski goggle design allows it to just fit your head comfortably. Great sound for hardcore gamers(immersion setting) being able to hear the footsteps easily coming before coming around the corner. Only gripe I had were the wires( 3.5mm wire, usb wire, usb c adapter with dongle, and share cord) I personally don’t like having a lot of wires all over also it’s charged by regular usb instead of usb c. The bass could be better music wise and the no Bluetooth not for me. But overall for just gaming it’s a great headset.

Like most people, I wanted to get the officially branded Pulse Headset from Sony after upgrading to the PS5. With them all sold out, I had to go with these headsets. Let me tell you something, I am so glad I did. The headsets have a TON of battery life, are super comfortable, sound absolutely amazing, and look great. I've had the opportunity to try on a friend's Pulse headset, and I will say these feel much better with more quality. If you're in the market for a new quality headset, DO NOT pass these up.

Simple and reliable connectivity across my Ps5, laptop, desktop, switch, and whatever else I could think to use it for. 3D audio on Ps5 is really impressive. Comes with adapters for most connectors apart from Apple. 10/10 games 10/10 movies 9/10 music (excellent, but not better than I’ve ever heard) Comfortable fit, even with glasses. Long battery life. Great range. Looks more like a pair of headphones than a gaming accessory. Not embarrassed to wear them on a conference call for work.

Excellent headset. Sound is crisp and clear and loud. Mic quality is excellent as well and I can hear my friends very clearly. Super happy with this purchase. Have had them since early August. Battery life is excellent as well. Very comfortable for my large head and I don’t feel any strain on my ears. The Arctis command center is relatively easy to use as well. Got these and the Arctis 7x for my PS5 and Xbox Series X.

I bought this headset looking for a wireless PS5 option. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. This is easily the most comfortable headset I've ever used, and the 3D audio on the PS5 works flawlessly. Its made me much better in FPS which I normally play as I can actually hear where footsteps are coming from. I could easily wear this all day without an issue. If you are second guessing the purchase, dont! I absolutely love it.

Best headset I’ve ever had. The battery life is great and the design is extremely comfortable. I skeptical about the strap in the middle of the headset but it’s adjustable and you don’t even notice it. I’ve had multiple Sony gold wireless headsets, the Sony wireless platinum headset and the turtle beach gen 2 stealth 700’s. This headset blows them all alway. Connecting is instant and easy along with the sound quality being superb.

Pretty east set-up with the PS5. The battery holds a long charge, seems to be around 20+ hours. Takes about an hour to fully charge. Very comfortable to wear as it has an elastic support strap as opposed to having the plastic press against the top of your head. The sound quality is good, especially after you change the settings using the Steel Series engine (I use the immersion preset). Definitely recommend!

I love this headset. I ordered the pulse and these Arctis 7Ps. The pulse was nice, but these are definitely better. The buttons and knobs have a nice tactile feel. The microphone sounds better (or so I'm told), and it has a sidetone knob so you can hear yourself. Best of all, it is SUPER comfy. I can wear it for hours on end. Coupled with the battery life, these a probably one of the best headsets for console and PC.
