Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the excellent sound quality, comfortable fit, and long battery life of the Arctis 7P+ Wireless Gaming Headset. Many appreciate the convenient retractable microphone and its compatibility with multiple gaming platforms. However, some users experienced issues with the USB-C dongle and occasional connection problems. A few also noted that the volume control could be improved and that the bass response might not be sufficient for all users.

Battery life is good. Sound quality is ok. Connectivity is bad. If I turn my head left or right while connected via Bluetooth to PS5 or PC there is a connection drop where audio just goes dead till you stop moving your head. Jokes on me for buying a Steel Series headset.

Unfortunately, this new version emit a slight buzzing noise from the headphones when at full volume. I own two pairs of the previous 7P model and neither have this issue at full volume. It’s also baffling that SteelSeries are still using the unnecessarily wide and flat USB-C dongle that blocks the other front USB port on PS5. I guess they did that so the dongle would fit better on a Switch? Then why market this primary as a PS5 headset? Their website clearly does this. This dongle design doesn’t work well on PS5 as it blocks the USB-A port on the front of the console. C’mon SteelSeries, I expected this to be resolved with the 2nd gen design. Yes, they do include a comically long USB-A to USB-C cable as the “workaround” but still….just make a proper sized dongle like every other PS5 wireless headset on the market. The workaround of using the very long cable (which you then need to tuck away somewhere) is just poor design.

For a $200 headset, this thing has some issues. The audio glitches out sometimes, and I have to restart the headset. I have also had issues where it randomly disconnects from my PS5 and I have to plug the adapter back into the USB-C port and restart the headset. It also feels extremely cheap for $200.
