Ok so I first bought Astro a50’s didn’t like the way they felt on my head way to heavy and tight so I went with these, used them for a few days with absolutely no issues and then the sound started to go in and out almost like the game was lagging. I started to move around close by devices and mess with my nighthawk router and nothing seemed to fix the issue. I also noticed the headphones would turn off on their own every now and then. As far as sound quality goes I used these with Dolby atmos enabled and they sound pretty good as far as being able to tell where the Enemies footsteps are coming from. I would have to say the overall volume is pretty low compared to the Astro a50’s and there is little to no bass at all with these. They are comfortable for my big head the ski goggle strap helps and they are lightweight. Ps. I used these with my Xbox one X Pro. Good sound Comfort Bluetooth Build quality Ease of use Cons. Low volume Little to no bass Connectivity issues Button placement No virtual surround sound

For comfort, audio quality, charge time, on time, mic use, you'll want this set as they all receive high marks. This headset doesn't have an outstanding range from the Xbox console which is fine as it's meant for stationary use in my opinion. Sometimes the headset will shut off while connecting my phone to play music while I am hooked up to my console and listening to in game audio simultaneously (which is one of the biggest reasons why I bought this headset) but it doesn't interrupt game play enough for it to be a reason to avoid this purchase. Its clear SteelSeries tried packing a lot of functionality into this headset and I think they've done a decent job at that.

Okay, I’ll get right to it. Pros: 1) Sound quality is phenomenal 2) Pairing to both phone and Xbox is awesome 3) Battery life is stellar 4) Genuinely very comfortable (I swapped the ear cushions, though, for bigger, cushier ones), and this is from someone who often finds headsets too tight Cons: 1) Very prominent connectivity issues 2) Must hold power button a long time, seemingly, to turn on After owning only Turtle Beach headsets, the sound on these is phenomenal. It’s clear, powerful, and it’s leagues better than Turtle Beach. I also love the the connectivity to my phone, so I can take calls while I’m gaming, and I loved the battery life (it really is that long!). However, I have had so many issues with the headset just losing connection or having very poor connection to my Xbox One (original launch model). The sound will occasionally get staticky cut outs, and then it will often just drop out entirely. Then, you have to restart the headset, and when you’re in the middle of a competitive game, this is absolutely not something you want. And when you’re in a beautiful narratively-driven game, the sound cutting out will take you right out of that experience and really highlight your frustration. Sometimes, you can go a full day or two without issue, but other times, you’ll have hour long periods where the connectivity just decides it won’t work reliably. The Turtle Beach headsets that I owned never had this issue. They’d cut out maybe one a month, and that’d be a freak incident. As I’m typing this review, I’m wearing the headset, and I’m getting staticky interference. I’ve changed my Smart TV’s WiFi to the non-5 ghz band, but that doesn’t really help. Sometimes, the Xbox will register the headset as being paired, but no sound will be produced until you restart the headset, which feels like it takes forever sometimes when you’re constantly having to restart it. As a disclaimer, I live in an apartment building, so perhaps there is interference around me, but this issue was not present with my Turtle Beach headsets in the same environment. I love the sound quality, but I couldn’t recommend this headset to anyone who’s a serious gamer and cares about reliable connection. If you’re a more patient person than me, then perhaps these are for you.

Pros- When it come to comfort these headphones are hard to beat. The quality of the sound is clear and excellent in my opinion. The mic works great, I haven't had any complaints from my friends when using chat. Build quality is also pretty good. Cons- The control wheels and buttons are in a terrible place. When putting on/taking off the headphones or trying to hit the mute button, its really easy to bump the volume knobs. While the sound is clear and great for gaming, it is a little lacking in the bass department. Wireless range isn't that great and once it disconnects it doesn't reconnect automatically (at least mine doesn't). It pops and loses connection pretty frequently. Price is way too high for this product based on what my experience has been. Overview- when these work they work great. If I could get a solid connection 100% of the time I could live with all the other faults these headphones have. However I would not purchase these again. For the price i expected a much better experience from these. My router is far from my xbox, I have a clear line of sight and sit within 6' of the xbox and still lose connection about once or twice per hour. I do not recommend these headphones in their current state.

They are almost the best wireless gaming headset. I wish there were more options for adaptability and customizing it to fit any type of head. Pretty much it's the elastic band inside that adjusts to your head type, but wish you could pull out and adjust like most all over the ear headphones. Regardless, it's very comfortable and can stand it for hours. The mic is awesome and it's easy to connect to most anything because of it's blue tooth capabilities. Sound is good. Again just wish you could go to higher volumes. Battery life is great. I have also been using this to connect to lap top and do zoom calls for work. This is how I was able to convince my wife I needed to buy these.

I have used this headset on my Xbox console be the One X and the Series X for the past 2 and a half years with minor issues that tainted the experience of owning the SteelSeries 9X Xbox only with Bluetooth gaming headset, but those experiences were not enough for me to not recommend this headset to anyone looking for a high quality, really comfortable, high quality sound output headset. The Mic on this headset is good, not studio good, but really good for Xbox Live Party Chat or Bluetooth calls that you get to do when you connect this headset to your smartphone. You can use Discord on Xbox soon, but with this headset as long as you keep it updated you will not have issues with Discord calls over the bluetooth connection which I mention keep it updated by connecting it to your PC or Mac cause if you don't you will end up like me having horrible Bluetooth connection and using Discord becomes impossible thru that method. I also have had random disconnects from the Xbox Series X at first, but Xbox seems to have become more stable with the updates that came out cause I have not have had any connection issues in the last 4-6 months of 2022. The battery is still great and even 2 years in the ear cups are good and they are interchangeable like AirPods Max, but without the magnets of course. I cleaned it once a month and ever since I got them they are still comfortable as day one. My favorite part of this headset is that even though it doesn't offer a mobile app like a Turtle Beach 700 Gen 2 it sounds more balanced and yes FPS games the Turtle Beach headset can sound better for footsteps not much better to warrant giving up the comfort and quality of the whole package. For gamers that are hardcore for competitive as much as they are for single player experiences I highly recommend this product for its comfortable design and great balanced high quality sound design. I would not wear these for anything that is not gaming however as I wouldn't with any other gaming headset. For those times when gaming is not the focus I use my AirPods Max instead.

So far so good. These headphones have worked flawlessly. Top observations. 1. Convenience - the wireless connectivity works so easily with the Series X paired just like a controller. I would suggest that you make sure you download the firmware update. Also paired very easily with my phone. The nice thing is I can listen to music or podcasts on my phone simultaneously as I play. It’s very easy to hit the dial and adjust the balance between the two. Just be aware that your phone volume sets the baseline volume level. 2. Audio quality is great. The mids and highs are super crisp and clear. Could use a touch more base but it’s still there. Stealth 700’s definitely have stronger base but not quite as crisp. The sound seems to never have distortion either which may be because the max volume is a touch lower than you see on other headsets. Also haven’t noticed any lag or delay over the Xbox wireless signal. Still appreciated though and the sound level seems plenty loud enough. Really love the sound quality overall. 3. Comfort. Reminds me of the Rig headsets. Super lightweight and very comfortable. It’s a fabric material on the ear cups and not as sound isolating as the Stealth 700s but you tend to forget you even have headphones on. 4. Build quality feels worthy of the price tag. 5. The mic quality seems to be great. No issues and the mic conveniently retracts into the headset for a low profile appearance when not in use and you don’t have to worry about losing it. Overall if you’ve got the money and you want a great sounding set of headphones with all the features and convenience you could need this is a fantastic set of headphones.

Let me start this off by saying that I have owned several different sets of higher-end gaming headsets including Astro A50s. My Arctis 9s have become my go-to for daily use. They are extremely comfortable for extended periods of use (5-6hr spans) and that includes while wearing glasses which is something that I have not previously been able to say about ANY gaming headset!! They are made of tough and durable materials (I have accidentally sat down on mine several times with no damage!!) while maintaining an extremely comfortable and natural feel (some headsets just feel bulky, not these!!). The battery life is quite impressive lasting significantly longer than my previous A50s. Intuitive controls on the earcups provide easy and quick adjustments on the fly, and the bluetooth feature is a key selling point to a lot of people (I listen to music occasionally while gaming but being able to take a phone call is a HUGE win!!). The sound quality IMO is good and well balanced with good depth and tone, however there is always room for improvment! For the price, I do highly recommend!!

Headphones are a compete ... show when it comes to gaming. Im not a reviewer, but I have had the opportunity to test these against pretty much everything out there would a look. These headphone are getting to be older, and they still hold their own in a sea of new comers. My set of 9x Headphones are going on 3 years old, and I can tell you these are my default go to drivers. Pros are: Fabric ear cups keep you cool and they feel robust. I imagine if you have oily skin or hair these could be less ideal, but they stock ear cups out perform the WC (Wicked Cushions) freeze cups. Boom mic can be put away and also has red indicator light to remind you that you are muted. Mixer built into scrolling wheel on left ear, Sound is clear and bass is good enough. Simulated 7.1 sound works well for FPS. Headband is robust. Provide good clamping, but not too much. (I do not have a large head) Pairing to the xbox is as easy as adding a controller, no dongle needed. Mic audio is crystal clear to others, no background noise. The cons are: Battery is built in, so when it starts to die thats it... Charging connector is micro USB and not USB C. Range could be better. I can leave the room and walk to the next room, but anything over 50 feet and it drops. (Through walls etc, not empty space). I've purchased the following units to compare against: Audeze Maxwell, for me sound isnt crazy good as the reviews say. Mic is terrible. Pick up all background noise and isnt very clear Ive been told. Fit feels warm and clamping. I returned these after 2 weeks of use. B&O BOPLAY Limited editions Fit is great, sound is good. Mic works well enough but it picks up a ton of bacground. I use these are my second or third choice. Steelseries artic pro xbox headset These have a great fit and clamp, mic is a little noisy but works well enough. Sound is clear and clean. Mixer is on a DAC that requires a wire to the console. These are my second or third choice headphone. These and the B&O only get a second or third place because of the mic. Batteries are hot swapping. Turtle beach stealth pro These I wanted to like, but they have a poor build quality and the sound is not 300+, the reviewers must be nuts. I also returned these after 2 weeks of use. Just my two cents. These are cheap if on sale, 99.99 during black friday. These hang with the high dollar headsets. Dont buy into the hype.

Great fit and comfort. Sound quality in game sounds accurate but the headset seems incapable of producing much bass sound. Tweaked with the settings to no avail - vocals and highs sound great when listening to music though. Retractable mic is a nice feature. Also nice that it can connect to bluetooth and wireless simultaneously although pairing seems to be an issue at times when switching between devices.

Bought these because a co-worker recommended them. I can hear the footsteps of opposite players while playing COD. They really boom and they’re comfortable for hours of game play and the battery life lasts awhile. I do have some connection issues if I don’t right away turn them on the second I turn my Xbox on and I won’t be able to hear teammates so I have to turn them off and on and then they work fine after that.

I've had so many different headphones. Within the last couple years I've went through 3 of them because of the poor quality. Most of them broke just from putting them. I was reluctant because of the price, but now I have a headset that's lasted longer than six months and still going strong. Super comfortable. When gaming with my friends, they all have said how much clearer I sound, and they also sound clearer than ever before. On the left side there is a dial you just move up or down that automatically lowers game audio and increases chat volume which is great when doing co-op and I want to quickly quiet my friends. lol. The game audio is loud and full. Now for the one con. Sometimes I seem to have connection issues. It will turn on connect and within a couple minutes it turns off by itself. Not sure if it's my Xbox connection or the headphones. I highly recommend these because in half a year you'll end up spending the same amount on 2-3 other headsets when this one will last over that.

I did not want to spend the money, but it does it all. Bluetooth and connects to the xbox. When you wanna use a bluetooth instead of xbox, it can be annoying, because then you turn on the headset, it turns on the xbox. The sound I was not that impressed with, and debated on returning them, and then I connected them to the app, and fine tuned them, OH MY GOD, they are amazing. True surrond sound. I instealled every video app I could think of so I can watch all my movies and youtube with them, and they are loud! Mic sounds great, but i dont use it much, and not my style. battery I have charged one time since I have owned them, and it was not needed yet, I did it just to do it. ohhh and very comfy, does not get too hot, and does not bother me wearing them for hours at a time. I know they are expensive, but its worth it, you only gotta but them once ya know... I have not tried them with atmos yet, but I cant image them being any better.

I swear I’ve had so many headsets throughout the years and none them have came close to these. The Bluetooth is crazy fast! You can power on the headphones and it will turn on the console for you. Once paired to devices it’ll always remember. These headphones allow you to pair both PHONE AND CONSOLE AT THE SAME TIME! That’s a big win! Get the protection plan cause if they break you get a new set same day if available! If you have $200 to spend you can shell out the extra $40 for the 2 year pro. I use my often so it’s a win win for me. -Light Weight (perfect for glasses wearing gamers like me) -Great sound with 4 different audio modes for movies and games. -Dolby Atmos supported -Long battery & Fast Charging -Retractable mic so you can use them on the go -Aux input to not waste battery when level is low -Software updates regularly -Pc support

Easy to setup, sounds good however you will have to mess with the EQ a bit to get it the way you want it. If you use the Dobly Atmos app on Xbox One X it will work for this headset. If you do that my suggestion is to set the headset EQ to default and use the EQ on the app. It will make a world of difference. Battery life is very good. Very comfortable to wear and never felt I needed to take it off after long sessions. Having a retractable mic is great when I don't feel like chatting and the mic is just in the way on other headsets (looking at you Astros). There was some drops in sound in the beginning however when I turn off Bluetooth on my phone it stopped happening (not a deal breaker for me, might be for others).

This headset is pretty good. I’ve had it for just about 3 weeks now and it works as expected. The battery life is good. I’ve charged it 3 times so far. The mic quality is also good. The Bluetooth feature is very unique, being able to hear and use phone audio while playing on the Xbox is very useful. In between games I’ll go on my phone and open snaps or watch some TikTok. Overall this headset is really good. No connections issues, great battery life, and excellent audio quality. This headset is well worth the price for those looking for a higher end mic. I came from 3 yr old turtle beaches which were amazing they just were aging and I needed an upgrade.

I love the ability to connect to Xbox and Bluetooth simultaneously. It makes answering a call while gaming soooo much easier. The ability for the microphone to be tucked away also helps with storage. The one hang up that brings a 5-star headset to a 4-star is that the headset will sometimes disconnect from the Xbox when I get too close to the wireless router. Turning the headset off then back on will fix the issue, but it is an unnecessary evil. However, it’s a pretty minimal problem for me that’s easily overshadowed by the quality of sound + the available features + the battery life (only charged 2 times in the 1+ month since purchase). Highly recommend
