Customers are saying
Customers find value in the incredible sound quality, amazing battery life, and comfortable design. They also appreciate its strong connectivity, broad compatibility with devices like Xbox and PC, and great bass. However, the product is noted for being quite pricey, and its active noise cancellation is not considered the best. Some users also mention concerns regarding thin ear cups, tricky software, and a fit that could be tighter.

The Best Wireless Gaming Headset on the High-End
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.SteelSeries Nova Pro Wireless: A Game-Changing Audio Experience When it comes to premium gaming headsets, the SteelSeries Nova Pro Wireless is in a league of its own. This isn’t just a headset—it’s a comprehensive audio solution that redefines what gamers and audiophiles should expect from wireless technology. SteelSeries has consistently delivered quality products, but the Nova Pro Wireless elevates the brand to new heights. Unparalleled Audio Quality The Nova Pro Wireless features 40mm custom-designed drivers, delivering a rich, detailed soundscape that excels across the board. Whether you’re navigating the sprawling cityscapes of Cyberpunk 2077 or listening to subtle environmental cues in Call of Duty: Warzone, the audio precision is remarkable. SteelSeries’ inclusion of Hi-Res Audio certification ensures crisp highs, a defined midrange, and bass that’s punchy without being overwhelming. The built-in Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is perhaps the standout feature here. This isn’t the half-hearted ANC you find in most gaming headsets; it’s on par with high-end consumer headphones like the Sony WH-1000XM5. It drowns out everything from background chatter to the hum of a PC rig, making it perfect for focused gaming or even casual listening sessions. Exceptional Comfort and Build Quality The Nova Pro Wireless is designed with marathon gaming sessions in mind. Its premium aluminum alloy frame feels robust without being heavy, and the memory foam ear cushions are among the most comfortable I’ve encountered. The adjustable ComfortMax System ensures a snug fit, even for those with larger heads. SteelSeries has struck the right balance between durability and comfort, making this a headset you’ll want to wear for hours on end. Dual Wireless Connectivity What sets the Nova Pro Wireless apart is its dual wireless system. You can seamlessly switch between 2.4GHz wireless for your PC or console and Bluetooth for your smartphone or tablet. This feature is invaluable for multitaskers who might want to jump from a Discord call to a Spotify playlist without skipping a beat. Additionally, the base station provides a centralized hub for connectivity and control. Swapping between inputs or adjusting EQ settings is effortless, thanks to the intuitive OLED display and tactile controls. Swappable Batteries for Endless Play The Nova Pro Wireless offers up to 22 hours of battery life per battery, and it comes with two swappable packs. This means you can charge one while using the other, effectively eliminating downtime. It’s a feature that feels small on paper but makes a massive difference in real-world use, especially for competitive gamers who can’t afford interruptions. Microphone and Communication The retractable ClearCast Gen 2 mic is another win for this headset. It delivers crystal-clear voice capture with AI-powered noise reduction to block out keyboard clatter or background noise. Teammates will hear you perfectly, and its discreet design ensures it’s not intrusive when retracted. A Premium Price Tag Justified At $349.99, the Nova Pro Wireless isn’t cheap, but every dollar feels justified. From the advanced audio performance to the thoughtful design touches like swappable batteries and dual wireless modes, this headset is engineered for gamers who demand the best. Verdict The SteelSeries Nova Pro Wireless isn’t just the best wireless gaming headset on the market—it might be the best headset, period. Whether you’re a gamer, an audiophile, or someone who simply appreciates top-tier tech, the Nova Pro Wireless delivers on all fronts. Its combination of performance, versatility, and comfort makes it a must-have for anyone serious about their audio experience. Rating: 5/5

Worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best gaming headset I could find. The software is a bit tricky/complicated, but not too bad. You'll definitely need to make adjustments out of the box. The complaints I've read are almost all user error. You can fix them in the software. I have a large head. Hat size ~8 1/4. They were a bit too snug out of the box. Not nearly as bad as most, though. That issue is also fixable. If you carely stress the metal band at the top backwards, it will eventually loosen up a bit. I can't tell these are on my head anymore. I also upgraded the ear cups, as recommended by many online reviewers. They were comfortable enough out of the box, but with the upgraded cups and the band bend trick... They're perfect. Having the supplied spare battery is a big win. The input out on the controller is a plus. I have my speakers connected directly to this and never have to change audio inputs.

My review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TL:DR – Costly headset, great audio, great build quality, lots of features, tiny ANC speaker is annoying and can cause discomfort, ears may get sweaty after long use. Look for aftermarket ear cushions with cooling gel. If you have the cash for it, then get it. If you want to continue reading I got some notes for pros and cons. Watch a youtube video review on these things which is what I did. My 4star review is mostly because of this stupid Active Noise Cancelling speaker built into the ear cup. I'll start with the cons first, which I think they're tolerable. Major con is this little speaker installed in the middle of the ear cup. This is meant for Active Noise Cancelling. Depending on the shape of your ear and/or the position of the headset, this speaker can rub up against parts of your ear. After a while this could potentially cause irritation and pain. Something I would recommend Best Buy do is have this headset on display to allow you to try it on and wear/feel it out for yourself. Some people don’t have any issues with this, others might. I unfortunately am part of the few that would have to deal with this. I don’t really use ANC, I’m thinking of putting some kind of felt around the speaker to potentially ease the pressure of the edge rubbing against my ear. A slight con is the material used for the ear cushion, again in order to achieve Active Noise Canceling, SteelSeries made their cushion out of a type of material that could trap heat, after long sessions of wearing this headsets your ears may get sweaty. I’m not sure if SteelSeries or a 3rd party will make cushions with cooling gels but heres hoping. At times you may hear some cracks in your audio, it hasn’t been a bad issue for me but its noticeable. The price... For what it’s worth this headset comes loaded with features and can do things that other headsets can’t. You could almost call it a complete package, which in case you’re paying for it. You may not need some of these features, case in point the ANC which I don’t use. You could do as good or good enough with a cheaper headset and get about the same audio or build quality. Now for the pros. This headset is loaded with features, hot swapable battery, ability to use both bluetooth and wireless connection at the same time, ability to control chat and game volume directly from the headset, retractable mic boom, EQ settings both on software and in the dongle, the build quality is nice the headset doesn’t feel flimsy, the audio settings are amazing, software allows you to tweak the EQ to your liking. The part about the swappable battery, you can charge your spare battery from the dongle that connects to your devices, or you can plug in a USB C cable directly into the headset and charge that way, battery life lasts a while. The mic is amazingly sensitive, I had to use the software to tone it down. This may sound like a con, but I was using Astro A40 headsets before, and no matter what people couldn’t seem to hear me at times unless I was shouting. So the mic on this headset is a night and day difference. The audio sounds amazing, for the average user they may not be able to tell the difference other than this headset sounds good, for anyone else that is an audiophile, you couldn’t do much better using these. There are other headsets which apparently sound even better but they may be lacking in features. Ignoring the ANC speaker that can cause some irritation, this headset feels comfortable around the ear and head. It feels snug enough for me that it’s not squeezing my head and it’s not too loose where it’s going the fall off the moment I look down. The range for wireless is good, I’ve used this headset around the house and at the office, walked past some walls and an elevator, didn’t lose connection.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hands down amazing! I had past models of the wireless pros and these improve on them in every way possible! Faster and easier set up for all. It caters to audiophiles for customization on pc or Mac. Also to people who do not want to mess specific tones and want something plug and play the basic presets to choose from are amazing. If you have a PS5, series X, and/or PC this is a must buy! Flawlessly cycle to each system quick and easy!!!! I currently have my Xbox, pc, and ps5 connected to the base. Bluetooth my phone and or switch to them easy. Does come with an audio jack which is amazing if I am not working from home but in the office I just connect to pc or laptop and I am ready. I also use these all day for work. They are comfortable all day headsets!! Mic is amazing especially for gaming or meetings clear crisp sound and it does filter out a lot of the background noise like AC, fans, neighbors mowing the lawn. The Noise cancelling is also top notch. I have the Sony MX5 and this rivals the best noise cancelling on the market. Love the swap out battery as well I wish all my headset have that. Must buy hands down best money I spent! I literally do not even take them off. I am at work and the straight to gaming if I do free time after work.

Great headset, would recommend.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product. Upgrade from my Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2's because of connectivity issues. Easy to set up and use, great noice cancelling (sometimes too good, per my wife), easy switching between Xbox and USB connect audio. Allows for Bluetooth only connection by using the Bluetooth button to turn on headset. Chat mixer and master volume control are easy to use and the display unit showing the mix ratio is easy to read from my chair about 6 feet away. Head strap adjustable simply and is very comfortable for long sessions. My only complaint is that the ear well of the head set is not quite deep enough for me and this causes my ears to fold a little bit. That will tend to get uncomfortable during long sessions. Low decibel sound can cause a "thrumming" with the noice cancelling. My wall mount AC unit in my apartment is about 10 feet from my headset and this is picked up by the noice cancelling. Battery has a decent life lasting multiple sessions. Overall, very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality headset

Best Headset I've Ever Owned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From a practical standpoint, the headset excels because of how it solves two of the biggest frustrations in wireless gaming: battery life and connectivity. The most significant advantage is its "Infinity Power System." It comes with two hot-swappable batteries. While one is in use, the other is always charging in the base station. When you get a low-power warning, you can swap them in seconds, instantly getting you back to a full charge. This feature means you never have to plug the headset in and effectively never have to stop playing—a massive quality-of-life improvement. Beyond power, the base station allows you to connect to your Xbox and another system (like a PC or PlayStation) simultaneously, letting you switch between them effortlessly. Combine these convenience features with top-notch audio quality that provides a real competitive edge, effective Active Noise Cancellation for immersion, and a clear, AI-assisted microphone. While it certainly comes at a premium price, the blend of performance and practical, problem-solving features makes it a standout choice for serious gamers.

The dual-battery hot-swap system means I never have to stop playing, and the active noise cancellation is top-tier for blocking out background distractions. The sound quality is incredibly crisp with deep bass, and the simultaneous Bluetooth connection allows me to take calls without pausing my game. It's comfortable for long sessions and easily the best headset I've ever owned.

Lackluster performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headphones are really bad for anything outside of wiring, and for wireless headphones I expected better. The microphone quality, do not get me started, it is one of the worst microphones I've ever heard, it's in the category of budget headset microphones. The ANC is non existent, I didn't even know the model had ANC, and the software is.. Well, it's actually decent. I tend to find myself trying to make up for the lack of audio clarity by minmaxing everything I can in the software. It still is mediocre, but the hot swap battery is a neat feature. Maybe I got a bad model, but I don't recommend the headset. Try read another review, maybe it's just my model.

Amazing upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I previously had the Steelseries 9x and thought it was amazing but after switching to the Nova pro wireless I can’t go back. I love how it feels on my head, the ear cups fit wonderfully and block a lot of outside noise on their own and I do not feel the ANC module on the inside of the cups like others have mentioned here. I was also upset that they don’t have the airweave cushion available for this but after using it I don’t mind they do just get a little warm but it’s not bad for me. I love the hot swappable batteries and the desk module is not bad I didn’t like the previous Arctis module but this one is a lot better and way smaller in fact it’s a lot smaller than the 9x headset too and I got the hard shell case for it from Steelseries website and it is an amazing case. I like the software you can make a few changes but most of the settings are on the module and I don’t have a PC for the Sonar thing but it’s still amazing sound out of the box. I love the noise cancellation and that I could still hear some outside louder noises I needed to pay attention to if needed. The only thing negative I can say is that the bluetooth doesn’t turn off when turning off the main power button you have to turn off bluetooth seperatly so unless you have the setting changed to don’t automatically turn on Bluetooth then you don’t need to turn it off if you don’t use it but still not hard to turn it off just wish it turned it all off like the 9x did. The module display also does turn off when I turn off my Xbox so that must have been fixed since others mentioned it stayed on even while off. Overall this device is worth it and I highly recommend it. I wish I would have gotten this sooner don’t wait like I did.

AMAZING!! Buy it!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Obsessed! This headset is super comfortable and feels lightweight when wearing. The earcups are comfortable, and actually don’t make my ears feel hot like some other pleather cups do. The headset is easy to adjust for the perfect fit. I LOVE being able to switch out the batteries and never having to be hooked up to a charging cord. You just pop off the magnetic cover on the right ear cup and switch it out, easy peasy. The headset automatically reconnects within seconds. The preloaded presets are nice. I haven’t even attempted to make a custom one because I like the ones it came with. Sound is INSANE. I am deaf in one ear and nearly deaf in the other and I can get these loud enough to hear footsteps. If you don’t have hearing loss these get loud enough to give you some. Bluetooth is easy to connect to my phone, and I love that I can walk around with my phone and stay connected and not have to be near the hub. Range on these is really good too!! Everyone I’ve chatted with says mic quality is really good, both over console and on the phone. I’ve been happy with it in the clips I have taken. I haven’t used the headset with more than just my console, so I can’t speak to the ease of switching between PC/Console. My one complaint is the neef in sidetone. If you had an older SteelSeries you may be familiar with sidetone - and I know it’s not a popular choice, but I always kept mine wide open because I like being able to hear everything going on in my house while I’m gaming, or be able to have a conversation with someone in the room while gaming. Even at the highest level with these, I can’t hear anything. So for those of you that love noise canceling - these are going to be an absolute dream for you.

Comfy lgiht weight & great setup just missing app
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After testing several headsets over the years, this one is my new favorite. I tried the gen 3 Stealth 700 from TB and when your partner also has the same headset it is literally a 15. min game of blues clues as to which headset is paired to which xbox as they dont have specific frequencies and just grab the first dongle they see. Besides that they are way too bulky, this headset however is very close to my previous favorite the Arctis 9x which is discontinued. The feel at first felt king of cheap for the price point but that has long gone out the windo as they are light weight & comfy, never having to plug in heaset to charge and instead doing a battery swap is also a great perk. my 4/5 star rating though is because even though this is one of their flagship models it CANNOT be supported to work with the mobile apps and has to plug in via USB to a PC/Mac to be able to customize it. But it does have a very well laid out menu in the device to handle most things needed to change. would give 4.5 out of 5 but have to resort to 4 for now.

Good multisource headset with fixable problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Headset is a straight upgrade in quality over the previous Arctis Pro. As someone who uses my headset for many different devices, it's nice that it works with all of them. The sound is good and microphone quality is what you would expect from a wireless headset. The battery life is phenomenal and lasts me about 20+ hrs. But if that's still not enough the quick swap batteries take only a few seconds to switch. However, the headset is best used through SteelSeries' Sonar software. Without it, EQ options and customization is limited. A large annoyance is the ANC speaker in the ear piece protrudes far enough to hurt after a while. This was solved with custom ear pads but, I feel this should not be necessary for a 350$ headset. Pictures included show the piece im talking about and the stock width (detatched one) vs the new earpieces. The last disappointment is the connectors between the headband and earpieces are plastic again which will be the first piece to break after wear and tear. Pros - battery life - sound quality - multisource audio Cons - nub in earpiece protrudes - expensive - plastic earpiece connectors return Quirks - loss of optical audio input may affect setups - sonar, while nice, does not affect the xbox input - head band has limited adjustments and may be small for those with large hair

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Headphones work great, but BEWARE, these are exclusive to just XBOX & PC. You have to get a different version for PS5 & PC use. The description of the product says specifically that it is compatible with XBOX, PS5, and PC, which is incorrect. Verify which product you are getting so you don't have to do an exchange like me. Sound quality is fantastic. I love the Steel Series GG technology for adjusting sound quality for various use cases, mic output, chat input, and other various tech. You can really tailor the audio to fit your use. Microphone quality is good for a headset - not amazing, but good. Switching between console and PC is super easy. The quick-change battery is AMAZING - you never have to plug in!

Not sure they're worth the price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these headphones to replace my aging Sony 1000XM4's. My XM4's are having a hard time with my laptops Intel Wifi 6E AX210 cards Bluetooth cutting out every now and then which was never an issue with the Previous laptop, but I also wanted to get away from the BT connection and try a dedicated transmitter. I can say these go a further distance wirelessly and through more walls than my XM4's, but the ANC is not nearly was powerful. These headphones would greatly benefit from aftermarket ear pads. Im hoping someone like Dekoni makes some super soft leather pads to replace the stock on these as pressing the OEM pads slightly against your ears when worn greatly improves the ANC by isolating the ears more. Overall I have tried to get these to sound similar to the XM4's and have come close, but they arent quite as good. They are close, but the XM4's I feel like have slightly more range of sound at both the high end and low (this is using the SONAR software on PC to adjust). If I want to listen to music, I find myself switching back to my XM4's. If I had to do it again, I probably would have tried the XM5's. The pod with the digital read out is unique and the temps/usage for GPU/CPU are a nice touch when gaming, but the display being black and white loses its appeal after a few mins. Build quality is sturdy, but the circle caps are being held on via magnets. The one side that houses the battery, seems like its barely being held in place, but it hasnt fallen off yet. The battery charger in the pod base is also a little odd. You press it in and down somewhat like an NES game cartridge. This initially threw me because it kept popping out and wouldnt stay in to charge. But pressing it down once in, it stays.

||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Arctis Nova Pro stands out as a versatile and feature-rich headset, offering an exceptional gaming experience across multiple platforms. One of its standout features, which I particularly appreciate, is its seamless connectivity with both PC and PS5 consoles which is what I have setup As a gamer who frequently switches between gaming on PC and PS5, the ability to connect the Arctis Nova Pro effortlessly to both platforms is a game-changer. The headset's compatibility ensures that I can enjoy high-quality audio and clear communication regardless of the gaming platform I choose. Setting up the Arctis Nova Pro with my PC and PS5 was incredibly straightforward with USB c connection and pairing to my phone was just as easy. I can fine tune the system with ease using the SteelSeries engine app on my PC and it transfers to the PS5. Furthermore, the headset's comfort and durability make extended gaming sessions a breeze, allowing me to stay focused and engaged without discomfort or fatigue. Overall, the Arctis Nova Pro impresses with its seamless connectivity, delivering exceptional audio performance across both PC and PS5 platforms. If you're looking for a gaming headset that offers versatility and top-notch sound quality, the Arctis Nova Pro is undoubtedly worth considering. Pros: Seamless connectivity with both PC and PS5. Intuitive setup process. High-quality audio and clear communication. Comfortable and durable design for extended gaming sessions. Cons: Must get Xbox specific version if you plan to connect with Xbox. In this case, I dont but its a gripe I have on microsoft's end. In conclusion, the Arctis Nova Pro excels as a gaming headset, particularly for gamers who frequently switch between PC and PS5 gaming. Its seamless connectivity and impressive audio performance make it a standout choice for discerning gamers seeking a versatile and reliable headset.
