I wish I didn’t miss the cutoff return date. These were an expensive mistake. Sound is subjective, but they aren’t much better than the 9x I had previously. And the active noise cancelling mic hurts my inner ear.

Noise Cancellation: Active Noise Cancellation does a decent job blocking out environmental sounds like fans or distant conversations. It's not as strong as Bose-level ANC, especially for deeper low-end sounds, but it's more than enough for gaming in a shared space. Battery Life and Dual Batteries: The swappable dual battery system is genius. While one charges in the base station, you’re gaming on the other. Battery swaps take seconds, and I’ve never had to stop playing to recharge. It’s the kind of feature you don’t appreciate fully until you use it. Comfort: This headset is built for long sessions. The ski goggle-style headband distributes weight evenly, and the ear cushions are soft and breathable. It is a little bulky, though, and the leatherette ear pads can get warm over time—something to keep in mind if you game in a hot environment. Mic Performance: The retractable mic is clear and serviceable, but it does pick up background noise more than I’d like. It’s great for party chat or casual streaming, but if you're looking for podcast-level quality, you'll still want a standalone mic. The control base stopped working, so now they don’t function at all. I’ve had these for barely over a year and have taken great care of them. They are comfortable, but the sound isn’t the best for gaming of the different brands i’ve had in the past. Too expensive to just stop working after barely a year. I do not recommend.

One of the “hot swap” swappable batteries was a dud in the box. I reached out to Steelseries support via their ticket process and was given a response within 12-18 hours stating that a battery replacement would not be possible, and that they recommend I replace or refund the product at the reseller, and that they would give me a 15% off coupon for my troubles. I returned the product after having it for less than 24 hours. The headset itself was fine enough, but did not feel as premium as the price would indicate. The plastic parts of the headset seem like they will get scuffed easily, the retractable microhone cable is cheap and flimsy, and the microphone was not as clear as it could have been. Overall terrible experience with this company and product. Would not recommend.

This headset is great. If you buy the Xbox version, you can still use it for your PS5. Love that.

They removed the best parts of the old Pro wireless headset and made them be software... Everytime you turn off your PC it will swap to "streamer mode" and when you turn on your headset if you have speakers attached to line out, you will get ear destroying loud feedback coming from the speakers. Nothing special from the headset, pretty much the same as the last gen, just destroyed by the crappy job of the software. (Steelseries GG)

Great quality on the earpiece, can wear for extended periods of time. Sounds good.

Overall solid. Slighlty over priced in opinion but what isnt but it is top notch.

Terrible .. the 3.5mm jack was bad right out of the box. I had to get another one , just to find out the mic on the headset was bad too. Return the whole thing. I paid $400 because I thought I was gonna treat myself to something nice, but instead I was back at Best Buy in less than 24 hours to return it. Not worth it.
