Believe the hype!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I held off on purchasing this game due to having a backlog of unfinished games, but after finally caving in, I'm more than pleased with what I got. Glorious gameplay, gorgeous graphics (men of culture will understand), and a more than serviceable story (it won't change lives, but not all games need to). Highly recommended.

Shift Up we need a sequel asap.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game is fantastic despite all the censorship controversy behind it. One if not best PS5 exclusive out there. The gameplay has Sekiro deflection with simple control scheme and stylish combat. Despite what some say It's not a button masher, but it's also not very deep like dmc. So if you're hoping for a simple button masher or dmc control scheme look elsewhere. The game is as difficult or easy as you want it to be after understanding the basics. You got a few combos that are easy to memorize that you can mix in special abilities with. Dodge and deflection have counter attacks with additional finishers. Eventually you get a devil trigger type ability, but honestly it makes the game a bit too cheesy and bland. My first play through I utilized all combos mixed in with charged finishers, deflection/dodge counters with an occasional beta/burst ability. After unlocking all the abilities it's effortlessly easy especially after mastering the dodge/parry window. The exploration isn't entirely open world you get a couple of linear stages without maps and small open world areas with main/side missions and collectibles. If you focus on the main missions you can finish the game in 20-25 hrs with side missions and collectibles 60-80 hrs. There's no need to grind as long as you do all the side missions and optional bosses. The story is 7/10, gameplay 8/10, music 10/10, visuals, 9/10 and for a PS5 exclusive game the performance is a solid 10. Balanced mode is the best mode (imo) with upscale 4k and a pretty steady targeted 60. Personally this is a must play. A side note after running through ng+ theres nothing that keeps you staying. Which is fine with me these days with plenty of games that over stay their welcome it's quite refreshing.

Surprisingly Good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A surprisingly good game for essentially playing as a fantasy character. The story was actually really interesting and the combat was phenomenal. The acting left a lot to be desired, a lot of the characters had ridiculous figures, and I think some things were lost in translation but overall a great game.

Stellar Blade uncensored
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The great the game is great and the reason I didn't buy the digital version and the actual disc itself from your store is the fact that it is the 1.0 which is not the censored version that everybody was making a big plus about because Sony had promised that they would not censor it and they patched it and it made it censored and not what it was supposed to be like when it was not updated so with the disc itself when you buy from your store you can play it without upgrading it and you can have the original costumes The Way They Were designed but after a petition on a website maid close to 95,000 petition by people who subscribe to Sony Plus game subscription they listen and they have patched it to now where you can get the uniforms that were censored in the original patch but you still have to do certain things to get the uniforms but if you just get the disc and just don't let it upgrade you don't have to patch it and you can have the original way the game was intended to be but the game and all is a great game definitely buy it on DVD before you can't buy them anymore on DVD. And the only reason you would buy a digitally is you can get the one that has for $10 more it would be like $79.95 you get a couple of costumes some glasses and stupid stuff that you can unlock when you play the game so why spend 10 bucks just play the game and beat certain levels and get the stuff for free anyway it's definitely must buy if you love anime and action and very well written game and great great programming for the graphics. Haven't seen the game like this in a long time. Now go out there and get them before they're gone.

Exceptionally Well Made Game!!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Without giving away any spoilers, I love this game, the combat, the story, the music; there's more that I like about this game than I dislike, and the number of things I dislike is very small compared to everything I like about the game. It's something I want to try on the New Game+. I recommend it to anyone that like games like Nier Automa or Devil May Cry, you'll have tons of fun beating the enemies down!

Awesome game!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is unreal! The combat is fluid and fun, the music is some of the best I've heard in a game, and NG+ is a big treat. Controversy aside, Shift Up! should be congratulated for the amount of work and polish this game has at launch. A game without bugs (I've encountered none) is so rare at this point that it feels so refreshing to see a title just work. Buy it. Play it. Play it again in NG+.

Good game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty good game. The combat is fun but can get a little tedious with enemies chasing you to the ends of the earth when i just want to explore and the story is interesting.

Fun - worth picking up!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thoroughly enjoyed the demo and the full game hasn’t disappointed. I figure an 8.5 out of 10. Yes it’s not right that at the last second the game was censored in any way but the game itself is an enjoyable playthrough. The parry system is easy to Learn, skill tree is huge, side quests for those that like that extra, and graphics/music work great. The reason 8.5 or 4/5 stars - the controls. Generally, they are fine and responsive. But can be cumbersome to the point of frustration with certain tasks (sometimes I think the camera also hinders things). There also isn’t much to the characters. The story is ok. It is worth buying but not at full price. I don’t think there’s many games thats worth $70. Shift Up did a solid job on this game.

Good game with soem flaws
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The look of this game is amazing. The detail of the costume design and the world itself is quite astonishing, and the battles are creative. Do not mistake this game as a hack and slash campaign - you absolutely have to learn the mechanics of dodging and parrying, otherwise you will become frustrated fast. The game is hard. Even on normal difficulty, I kept dying so I had to put it onto easy, at least until I got the mechanics down. Also, the voice acting is atrocious. Eve herself is decent but everyone else (especially Lily) just isn't voiced by capable actors. If you are expecting the acting of Final Fantasy or God of War, you will be sorely disappointed. In any case, the game is mostly good but there are just a few flaws.

Actually Really Good Game
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantanstic Game. Compared to many of the new recent releases from other publishers, Shift Up made a solid title. Great gamplay, interesting story, and pretty fun mechanics, this should be what more known AAA publishers be striving for, only downside is there isn't a japanese dub but the korean voice acting is solid as well.

Great game
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up at launch and have basically nothing but good things to say about this game. Gameplay and combat are really good in my opinion. The story wasn't revolutionary by any means and fairly predictable at times but it's still a good story. I would definitely recommend this game if someone already had an interest in picking this up.

Bought for the beauty, stayed for the gameplay.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome "Souls like" with geat eye candy lol. But seriously, besides the obvious benefits of playing as the main protagonist, there is a good story here with some great gameplay. Especially if youre looking for a good Dark Souls like game!

Great game!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from Nier Automata, this game is PEAK. Combat everytime feels like I’m playing a 2d fighter, story could be a bit better but the atmosphere, graphics, and music definitely make up for it. A must buy on sale!

For the guy that said to stop comparing to Nier.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yeah, he is right. Nier Automata is a masterpiece and Stellar Blade isn't. With that said, Stellar Blade is a really good game. Gameplay (combat, RPG, and the like) is definitely 5 out of 5. Environment (graphics, body physics, design) is 5 out of 5. And sadly Story I can't give it more than a 3 out of 5. I want to give it a 2 but it might be a cultural difference on how Korean story telling is done. There is just some Resident Evil 1 moments where I was this is bad story telling. So, the big question should you buy it? If you're on the fence at this time don't, wait for a sale. And if you want to get it now for a physical copy and keep the uncensored version, it's not worth it, wait for a sale. There still plenty to see with the censored version. After 3 hours or so the body physics start becoming numb to see, and you just end up focusing on the gameplay. So with that said if you're on the fence wait for a sale, or if you're just waiting for your paycheck hurry because it is said that later physical copies will have the patch version without being able to uncensored the game.
