However, some users have noted concerns regarding battery life, accuracy of tracking, and the display's readability and responsiveness. The band's design also received some negative feedback. Great for my needs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this item about a month ago. Since then I have gone on hikes, walks etc. The steps seem to be accurate based on what Height and Weight you put into the details.. Setting goals for each mode helps me keep motivated. Some key tips that would help before starting up would be that the device needs to be at least 10% charged before you can sync it to your iphone, ipad etc. I now get texts, incoming phone calls and meeting notices so i do not miss a thing. Tapping the side instead of tapping the top works much better to turn on the display. The charger only goes on one way so do not force it on. It will snap on very easy if put on the correct way. I have charged the device 4 times in the month I have had it. Sleep mode is there if you want to use it but, needs to turn on manually.Easy app to use also. Overall I am pleased with this device.

Unfortunately....completely useless
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very excited to buy this for my wife. I'm sorry to say however that it is completely useless. First - it is almost impossible to put on. It took two of us to get it snapped on. I'm sure there is a learning curve but I can't imagine anyone being able to do this one-handed. The biggest problem is that the display shuts off about 5 nanoseconds after you last touched the screen. I understand this is probably to conserve battery life but if you're going to wear something on your wrist constantly then you should at least be able to look at it and see what time it is. The activity tracking features are just bare-bones and not customizable at all. Worst of all, the "music control" feature is a joke. As already mentioned the screen goes off immediately which means any time you want to change a song you have to get the screen back on and navigate through 4 screens to get to the music screen. If you try this while you're running you'll hit a tree. This is each and every time you want to do literally anything with it - touch it to turn it back on and then navigate to the screen you want, because it doesn't open back up to the last active screen.... that would be far too useful. It opens to home screen every time. The screen off timer should be user adjustable. I will return this today ----- oh and on that note.....good luck trying to remove it from the packaging without destroying the packaging or the watch. I knew I may be returning it so was trying to open it very carefully.. but several minutes later I resorted to "T-rex methods" and now the package looks like it contained a hand grenade. I hope they take it back. This is one of the worst purchases I've made in years.

Not that great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The band is not that great... it says that the band can track your sleep but it can only tell you how many hours you slept not the quality of sleep. The touch screen is hard to manage - we need to double tap the screen to make the home screen visible sometimes that does not work.. the steps are tracked accurately though...

sleep "tracking" that isn't, features that aren't
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The device is comfortable enough, staying on the wrist easily and with a clasp that doesn't come undone accidentally but can still be easily removed. The interface is very simple, giving you steps, miles, "calories," and "minutes of activity." I put the last two in quotes for reasons I will enumerate shortly. The Interface also allows you to view unseen notifications once, see the time, and turn on and off "sleep mode." The "sleep" issue is one of the biggest for me. There are a number of free apps you can download which will have you place your phone in bed with you, monitor your movement during the night, and show you, in a graph, how much of your night was spent in light sleep, deep sleep, and REM sleep. I assumed that when this device advertised "sleep tracking," that this is what they meant. I was wrong. It simply refers to a "sleep mode," for which the user activates the setting on the device, and this silences all vibrating notifications. When the user wakes and turns the sleep mode off, the device will tell you how long you had it in that mode. That is aggressively unhelpful. You can just look at a clock when you start TRYING to fall asleep, and again when you awaken. But everyone should be aware that trying to go to sleep and being asleep are vastly different, as is sleeping through the night and waking up several times during the night. So in addition to not actually showing the user anything relating to quality of sleep, this device also shows the user nothing related even to duration of sleep. Additionally, the screen is still incredibly bright, even in sleep mode, and every human who has had a bright light shone in their face in the middle of darkness can attest that it is a decidedly unpleasant experience. Another feature advertised by the packaging is the ability to control smartphone capabilities, including music. After trying to figure this out, I contacted the company for information on how to control my music. I was informed by the email I received back #which was a very friendly and apologetic email#, that this feature hasn't actually been added to the software yet, but that they're "working on it." As a fitness enthusiast who is not a runner, and not someone who is interested in simply tracking steps #I would have bought a $15 pedometer if that was the case#, the steps information means nothing to me. What interests me is my caloric input and output. While this device pairs with a calorie counting app like MyFitnessPal, it only sends data on expenditure to other apps. It doesn't display metrics of caloric intake gathered from "paired" apps. It begs the question: why bother to pair with other apps? The calculations of caloric output and minutes of activity are very inaccurate, as well. As a trainer, I have a pretty good idea of how much time in my day I've spent working out. And when this device tells me after 8 hours working at a desk that I've gotten 80 minutes of exercise for the day, I am disinclined to believe it. Finally, the notifications only show you notifications you have not viewed yet, even partially, in the device. There's no way to go back, even when you've swiped through to the middle of the message, to read the start of the message, or to read a previous message. In short, if you're looking for a smartwatch, just buy a smartwatch which can actually control features of your phone and show you notifications you can have some control over; and if you're looking for a fitness band for activity and especially sleep tracking, purchase literally anything else.

Outstanding tracker, cool touch screen!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Checked out a few activity trackers, this one was on sale in the store and looked pretty cool. I'm not a hardcore fitness buff and was looking for an easy way to track my steps and walking distance with my iPhone. Battery life seems good at 4 to 5 days in. Bonus, the tracker has a touch screen and notifies me of my incoming calls. Overall, working great so far and very happy with this tracker.

Great fitness band
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it about a month ago. Does everything it's supposed to. Love texts and calendar entries on my wrist. Works with my Samsung GS3. Looks good too, I prefer the blue band. To the reviewer who had trouble with putting it on, if you had watched the video it was very helpful, now it's like second nature to me. I think that this fitness band deserves a lot more attention, especially since the developers are constantly adding more functionality, they are working on adding music controls in the next update.

It's Ok
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't give too great of a review, considering the fact that I just recently bought it. But I can say why I'm taking it back. 1. It was kind of difficult to put on (Maybe it's just me). I had to get my brother to do it for me....So I'm not going to go through that every day. 2. Although it looks pretty cool, the software/app is not as good as it should be. The Striiv app, itself is kind of horrible. 3. The Fusion was able to receive my notifications (which is pretty darn cool) but my phone could never "connect" with the tracker to show me the data (steps, calories burned). So basically, the tracker showed everything, but my phone did not. I will give the Misfit a try.

Great Product! Better value than competition.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Firmware update released 12/25/14 enables music controls! Band and clasp is fantastic! Touch screen is awesome! New features still coming! One of the few devices that you can wear in the shower! I really like this product! After doing some serious comparing of features of the competing activity trackers with smart watch functions, I had narrowed it down to this Striiv Fusion and the Razer Nabu. The problem is that the Razer Nabu has only barely released while the Striiv Fusion has been out for a couple of months. I found the Fusion on sale and decided it was worth a shot and I am really glad I went with it. I'm so perplexed at some of the reviews, especially compared to the competition. Even the professional reviewers have said that they decided not to test the Striiv Fusion because it had been getting mediocre online reviews, but I don't understand how they justify that when Amazon has had less than 10 reviews on the product. The tracking functionality seems to work just fine. The notifications are great. I hope to see them refined, but they are way better than anything the competition has been offering. The touch screen is fabulous and they've done a pretty good job at implementation and UX. The band and clasp are really a neat design. I wore watches until I got a smart phone, so I know how annoying some bands can be, but this one is solid. The clasp isn't an annoying buckle and it's easy to put on, but does take a firm push to get the pins through the holes. The documentation is kind of lacking, but their videos on YouTube make up for it and I am sure they will get documentation finalized as the features and apps mature. I was surprised that they put music control on the box as one of the features, when it wasn't a part of the firmware, but then they updated it with the feature the next day! Thanks Striiv team! I know that if you compare functionality and price, you too will see that the Striiv Fusion is a great value. I hope that a lot of people purchase this product to support it and enable the developers to continue to roll out new features.

Nice simple smart watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.for the price its nice. I get notifications of calls, text msj, calendar, facebook and other and you can turn on or off notifications. Also is very accurate on counting your steps. I do have to admit is kind of difficult to set up the sleep mode since once in a while it wont turn on and you wont have track of it. But overall its a nice device.

Pretty Cool
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up because I was wanting a sleek watch. I love getting the notifications on my wrist. Works great with my iPhone. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star review is because I'm still having problems getting the double-tap just right. It often takes me three tries to get it right so I can see the time.

I really like it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little leery of getting this because I had never heard of it before, but it had the options I was looking for over the bigger names. It works great and I love being able to see text messages instantly on my wrist. It paired up easily with my iphone 6 plus. Like every other fitness item out there, none of them seem to agree on how much you really are walking, but the sleep information has been a great help.

Stopped Charging and did not Track Steps correctly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 2 Fusion's one for me and one for my sister. Mine would show the same number of steps after walking several minutes. My Sisters would not charge after 3 weeks. I returned both and now have a Garmin Vivosmart that is working great.

There are better ones out there.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You have to tell it when you go to sleep and wake up. Other brands do that automatically. Very shorty battery life. Constantly needs to be charged.

Great smart watch activity tracker bundle
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love that you are able to receive all your notifications on your wrist. It seems pretty accurate, but I haven't did any actual tests yet. Overall, it was a great buy, and I have had it for about 4 months without any problems. Battery life is good, but the clasp can sometimes be a bit tricky.

Good simple watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked how you can get smart watch notifications right on the watch. Also, the battery life is awesome, I get like 3-4 days in a single charge. The tracking seems accurate so that's also a plus.
