I bought this to help track the number of steps I walk in a day. What I didn't realize was that during the course of driving to work, I would also walk up to 200 steps during a 30 minute commute.

Great product except - issues with Bluetooth to an iPhone, to get the watch feature to come alive- you have to shake your arm off - and the external power charging cradle is a joke... I bought 3 for the family and returning them all!!

Not good at all. Everytime you would move your wrist the pedometer would count steps. I did more steps sitting on the couch then walking the dogs.

The only feature that worked for me was the caller id and text message. That was neat but it wud by count my steps. I tired to restart several time and re download the app on my phone, but still would not count my steps. I ended taking it back and getting a Fitbit flex.

Great Tracker/Smart Watch (After a Few Updates)

Bought this after comparing to fitbit Flex, Polar Loop and others. Seemed to have best features vs price. At first worked OK, although sync seemed a bit flakey. Then seemed to "freeze up" (after 4 days use). Submitted Customer Care ticket with Striiv, and after one day of waiting actually had half a dozen emails back and forth within the same afternoon trying to diagnose issue. Concluded that an upcoming firmware update would probably fix, but possible unit was defective. Returned to Best Buy for no-questions-asked exchange (yea Best Buy). New unit working flawlessly as advertised. Did receive new firmware update upon first sync. Does good job of tracking steps and sleep patterns. Now syncs almost real-time with iPhone, plus provides on-wrist notifications of emails, txts, and phone calls. How cool is that? Very good device and what seems to be really good customer service.

The box said this would download data to a Windows computer. When I got it home, I found out that it couldn't I contacted Striiv and they said it couldn't do it. Maybe it works okay, but I'll never know. I returned it to the store and got a Fit Bit.

    Doesn't track steps accurately

I was super excited when I bought the touch this weekend for my sister and I. I liked that we could keep track of each others steps and help motivate each other. Well that excitement came to an end today when we figured out how I had more steps in then she did. I work at a desk all day and she walks all day on her job. The secret is in if you swing your arms or not when you walk. Total disappointment! I thought I had really walked 10,000 steps to only find out the swinging of my arms was part of that ...and I'm not saying swinging them hard. It is very easy to set up as long as you have an Iphone. The band is very hard to put on yourself. Needless to say I will be returning both of them tomorrow. I want something that is more accurate.

    Good Product for the Price

First, let me confess my main interest in this watch is that it doesn't have a stainless steel back. I am allergic to metals, and I have worn this watch for three weeks with no itching, rash or open sores. Yay! The size is also good for a woman's wrist, all the other products I looked at were wider than my wrist and way too clunky. The second feature I like is that I receive phone notifications so I stop missing calls and texts while I am at home and not carrying my phone around with me every second. It seems to have good range, and I like the discreet vibration alert instead of an audible text. I also receive meeting notifications, which is a nice perk. The app must be open on my phone in order to receive these notifications, it's not like a bluetooth headset in that respect. Makes sense once you think about it, but it does run down my phone battery so I need to charge my phone every day (Samsung Galaxy S4). Battery life on the Touch has been running about 3-4 days, depending on how much I am checking time/activity/notifications. Step counter seems fairly accurate, as much as I would expect for something on my wrist, anyway. I haven't tried the game on the app, but just the step count/distance motivates me to be more active. This is a new product so it is still a bit buggy, but excellent customer support and they continue to issue firmware updates to improve the product. I traded e-mails with them on the connectivity issues, and they issued a firmware update 7/17 that has dramatically improved connection. I sometimes need to restart the app, and less often need to restart the Touch to get it communicating with my phone again. The app notifies you an update is available, and you decide when to do it because you need to keep the Touch close to your phone for a few minutes while it downloads. My lessons learned for new users: 1 - I suggest a small coin purse to carry the cradle and short USB cord with you. If you need to unpair&repair the device, you need the cradle. Also makes it convenient to recharge the Touch while working at a computer. 2 - The app has to be open in order to send notifications to the Touch. I try to remember to charge my phone in the car to keep that battery topped up. 3 - If your app shows the Touch is not connected, first close the app and open it again. Give it a minute, and restart the Touch if it's still not connected. Don't be afraid of the factory reset, you lose no historic info on the app. 4 - I bought this on a holiday weekend and couldn't pair the Touch. After submitting a help ticket, I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app and doing a factory reset on the Touch, and that worked. A last note that won't be useful to very many people - I have fibromyalgia and the sleep tracker is more useful than I expected. Quality sleep is critical to minimizing my other symptoms, and this sometimes gives me advance warning that I need to take better care of myself.
