It's definitely not a Nintendo switch worthy game... But it's a classic and worth the $20 I paid to have it as part of my collection. Super addictive, and fun to play two players.

Bought this on sale and with my gamers unlock discount and got it very cheap. Didn't know what I was going to get with this, but I took a chance and was glad I did. I grew up playing the original Bombermans pretty hardcore with 3 other friends growing up in the 90s and I felt like I wanted to introduce my 10 yr old to this. She absolutely loves it. Still has a lot of the same feel to it and we play battle modes all the time and we usually team up to take on the computer. When we play this, we play for hours! Can't complain to have that old nostalgic feel back, introduce my kid to it, and the price was right. Pretty good game!

I purchased this game strictly on the basis of split-screen multiplayer. I've always enjoyed the Bomberman games for that reason and being able to play on the Switch with my son and our friends is fantastic. The story campaign is so-so, but you'll only be doing that to gain shop points to purchase customization items for the multiplayer game.

Purchased this game for my mother who is a bomberman fan. Although it doesn’t measure up to the older snes game, it’s not bad.

There is not much to choose from right now for the new Switch but if you are looking for ageless fun for the whole family to play at the same time, this is a good option. It is also cool to see kids discover games you played when you were a child yourself. My only complaint is that I haven't seen a way to play with an odd numbers of players.

Fun when you play local friend matches. I’d recommand not to spend more than 30 for it.

Not bad for a new Bomberman game , story is great but it's Bomberman so what else do you expect, get it while it's on sale.

The game is loads of fun if you have friends you can play local, don't play computers or you won't stand a chance. Online is really rough, I had hoped it would be better but the pachinko machines will always take priority over a solid game for Konami. Wait until its fixed.

I was hesitant to get Bomberman. Not because I don't enjoy the series, but mostly because it was a $50 game that reportedly featured a 2-3 hour story mode. But the story mode isn't where the game shines. The multiplayer modes make this game what it is, but only if you have human players. If you are playing with friends, trying to win a multiplayer match is a lot of fun; if not, you're playing against a CPU whose coding leads to inevitable ties if the human player(s) die first. The story is rather bleh; I beat it in about 4 hours, in a combination of solo play and playing with a friend. There are 5 worlds, and a total of around 50 levels total to play, with different challenges on each level. Get this game if you're looking for a fun, semi-competitive party game to play with friends. Don't get this game if you're looking for a game where you can battle the CPU, because it's frustrating if you aren't extremely good.

If you've ever played Bomberman before, then you know what you're getting into. Single player is a shallow experience where you kill all enemies in the stages to advance and then fight a really tough boss. Multiplayer is the star of the game. Battle mode returns in true form and is a blast (no pun intended) to play with multiple people.

Playing this immediately brings me back to my youth. I played SO much Bomberman as a kid. Bomberman is perfect on the Switch. Classic Bomberman gameplay with improved graphics!

I am a huge fan of the Bomberman franchise, and while I did enjoy this game $40 is a steep price. Even though it is a fantastic local multiplayer experience, it is pretty bare bones as far as features at MSRP. I would happily recommend it once it goes on sale though.

This is a modern day Bomberman game so expect that chaotic local multiplayer action to be intact. It has a decent singleplayer mode with bosses as well. These days, you can get this game for around $20 on sale so its a must have for Switch owners wanting an arcade-like game.

Several years ago, they released a game called Bomberman Live on Xbox 360, this game is very close to that in features and fun. Only Bomberman Live cost $10 and this costs $50. This is a great game, but I would wait for a sale or pick up a used copy at some point.

If you enjoy Bomberman titles, chances are you'll enjoy this. I've been dealing with some input lag, but it has been said that they're working on a fix and that it'll be addressed in a software update; the game is pretty bare-bones compared to other available editions like "Bomberman Live", but it's still good, frantic fun!

Cool game with nice surprises. Requires skilled maneuvering in certain spots.

This is one of the best multiplayer games on the switch to date. Some titles that are due to release will of course be a better choice (Mario Kart or Splatoon). However the games multiplayer features a fiercely competitive group of online bomber buddies that you'll have fun for hours playing. The story mode has 2 player option available. Story mode is very cartoony and has a skip button available for those who are bored with 3-5 minute cut scenes. Multiplayer mode is fun for all ages, but story mode was less to be desired. I still rate it 5 stars for the multiplayer action though. It really made it worth it.

A remade of a great classic. A bit tougher than the originals but fun and kids have good laugh. Very enjoyable game
