A welcome return to the old SNES Bomberman days. Story and voice acting is so cheesy that it's good. Story mode itself is very short and can be cleared in a few hours, but multiplayer offers hours of fun. Super catchy anime song at the end as your reward for clearing the initial story mode too

This game takes me back to Bomberman 64. The multiplayer is exactly the same. It is extremely fun and a great multiplayer experience. You and your friends will be yelling at each other in no time as you bomb each other! The single player is ok, but if you are considering buying it, you are probably going for the multiplayer anyway. Not worth $50, but with Gamer's Club, it helps bring it to a more reasonable price of $40.

This is a decent game, however a bit steep at $60. I managed to get it on sale, but still, it feels like a $20 budget title. The gameplay is basic bomberman, but the story or single player part of it isn't really all that fun as it doesn't do anything new. Plus the difficulty is a bit much at times, with bosses seemingly knowing your every move. This game is best played multiplayer, as that's still a lot of fun. It's also hard to believe a game like this has a single player capped at 30 fps when Mario Kari 8 Deluxe can run at 60. It definitely needed a bit more time to develop and optimize.

This is a fabulous game and certainly a must have with the limited game selection out there right now. The story mode is fine but the real enjoyment of this game is multiplayer mode. It's a blast (pun intended)!

Too expensive for what it is. Worth owning for 19.99. Not a worth the $50 price tag. Camera angles are not good in multiplayer campaign. Awfully difficult game.

The single player is comprised of 52 stages. Eight stages are just traditional Bobmerman flair with random objectives thrown in on certain levels like finding keys or performing escort missions. Then the ninth stage is a one on one with the boss. These are extremely frustrating stages because you have to trap the boss with bombs to hit him. It's a 1 hit kill in these stages, but it'll end up costing you a lot more than one life to hit the boss. Co-op makes this easier since you can coordinate your attacks. The tenth stage is a giant machine boss fight. These are the really fun stages in the game. And where the game really shines. I had more fun with the 6 mega boss stages than I did with the other 46 levels. Outside of that there is MP. I didn't play any MP. I'm not an MP gamer. The only other thing to say is that completing worlds in this game gives you coins. These coins can either be used to continue, or to shop in the in game store. This is where the mega grind comes in because stuff in the store is really expensive. I beat the entire game on easy and only ended up with 3k coins. At this time, you need about 100k coins to buy everything in the shop, including a character that costs 30k coins herself. Yeah, the grind is real here. I guess if you were hooked on the MP, or Co-op play with friends, then you could gather that many coins. It was way too much for a single player to worry about grinding out though, so I passed on that and shelved this game as a one and done after I beat the story mode. FYI, in case you didn't know, Konami is going to release DLC characters based on past franchises: Simon Belmont from Castlevania, Pyramid Head from Silent Hill and something from the shmup Gradius. The DLC will be free to players; however, they could put it in the shop and require coins be spent to purchase it. If so, more grinding. Switch owners can safely skip this game. Only hardcore Bomberman fans need apply.

Unfortunately it's hard to recommend bomberman at this price point. The main campaign left a lot to desire. If only they would go back to their roots and give us a full 3D bomberman like with Bomberman 64 and it's sequels. While the story mode is mediocre, I'm happy to report the multiplayer is still as fun as ever. Customization of options and varied stages allow for a great time if you're a fan of bomberman. Overall, unless you're a fan of the fun multiplayer experience or just starved for any multiplayer games on the switch, I can't fully recommend this game, at least not at this price point.

The game is good, but not great. The story mode is fully voice acted and can be played co-op. The single player can get a little repeatative if your not playing with a friend. The real fun is in the multiplayer.

I'm not sure this is the greatest game ever, and the single-player is average, but I recently played this at a friend's place with six players, and we had a BLAST!!! Absolutely great for large get-togethers.

Reminds me of Mega Bomberman which I used to play on Sega Genesis. Although repetitive, still very fun, especially for local multiplayer. Online multiplayer could use some work and a little sluggish at times.

This is a really fun game. I love the many levels & the many varieties of obstacles courses. You can also play this game with multiple players and you can pick which bomberman you want to repsent you and the battle levels. This game is so much fun that my 4 year old nephew really enjoyed booming the enemies and moving on to the next round. Whatever you do have fun playing this game with your family & friends.

It's been a long time since I played Bomberman, but love the anime scenes, colors, and classic gameplay with a story mode! Wish the camera didn't move around as much as it did, but I have gotten used to it
