Bomberman is one of those series that’s been around forever and seemingly fell off the map when Konami bought hudsonsoft. I was very interested in playing a new entry on my switch and was not disappointed. If you’re looking for a deep experience go elsewhere as this is pretty much what you see is what you get. What you get is a nice throwback game and I really love it though I realize it’s not for everyone.

The game itself is okay, nice to have a new Bomberman game in the states. Should have been a cheaper eshop game though, not worth a full release price. Not a ton of content here, but if you are itching for a Bomberman game it'll scratch it.

I like this game for its simplicity to play, but the story is about as strong as a Saturday morning cartoon. Very sure this was marketed for the young, cause my nephew loves it. So if you have a kid on your Switch, give Bomberman a shot.

As with the rest of the Bomberman games, it contains a main campaign to get you acquainted with the gameplay, but the core is in the multiplayer experience. It's a bit rough to get used to, but it's really fun, even when you lose.

The game, itself, is vey unique and is enjoyable in many ways. Although I haven't played the game as much, I played the game with my brother and we both enjoyed it! While I can't give an all-out personal opinion about the game, I do recommend playing this game when you have a party or when you have friends hanging out, as this is more of a game to be played with more than one person. Expecially the multiplayer, you can get interesting results. :)

So having played a ton of bomberman games thru the years, I can say this is a great multiplayer game! Surprisingly, the single player mode (with the option to play coop) kept me entertained with its puzzles, good music and challenge.

The controls still felt weird with the analog & there seem to be a bit of input lag but man did we have a great party game. Konami will hopefully fix the issue soon but still very playable & will have a blast with a group of friends!

The kids absolutely love the Nintendo Switch and love this game. The learning curve seems reasonable and the gameplay makes me think of N64 Bomberman. If you're a fan of the Switch and the franchise then its worth buying.

This is fun for parties. Good graphic, many different stages, and a fun co-op mode as well.

The White Bomber and family head up a worthy return for the Nintendo Switch. Barring hiccups with online lag and repetitious voice clips, Super Bomberman R is a satisfying candidate for multiplayer competitions and online battles.

I have loved bomberman since I was a very young child. This latest game is no exception. 4 player bomberman with friends is always an excellent time. If you own a switch, this title is a must have.

This is a great co op game. Wife and I have had a lot of fun playing through co op story mode. Online and single player not great though. It’s a solid game, lacking strong visuals and engagement, but the couch co op is fun!

Good to play for a short time for nostalgia but gets old quick now as there’s better games to play. Not worth $40 but $20 is worth a shot to play then trade in.

Despite the history behind the company, it seems that they mailed the most entertaining aspect of the game, multiplayer. Story mode or battle mode, make sure you're with or against other people, its where the game truly shines.
