Love this game, played the originals back on GameCube. Very fun couch party game, with cool modifiers too.

Okay, this was a gift for a 11-year old. He wanted to show me how to play the game and I was hooked! So much fun!!! I totally did poorly but enjoyed playing it. I am not typically a fan of video gaming but may get this one and snip it plus for switch.

A really fun multiplayer game that's added a lot of content since it's been released. Bomberman is back!

If you like bomberman, then you will like this version of bomberman as well. Cutscenes are quirky and funny. Multiplayer is fun. Latest patch fixed most of the lag input. The price is a bit steep for basically a rehash of the same game it's always been, but well worth it if you love bomberman.

Good old Bomberman updated for the digital generation! Lots of cartoon-style cut scenes provide a storyline and character background to entertain the kiddies -- but I just want to plant bombs... Lots of levels, good boss fights, lots of fun!

Great game bought for my parents as they use to play with this on nes hours of fun great graphics

This game brings back so many memories. The switch version is a great game that can be played alone or through various multiplayer modes. If you are a Bomberman fan this is a must buy. Straight up classic Bomberman with beautiful graphics and a fun story mode. Highly Recommended!

Great for all ages and so much fun to customize games and blow people up

This review is after they added a lot of content post-release so when I say it has a a good amount of content (levels, characters) it implies that you patch your game with that content. The campaign is very straight-forward and average for Bomberman with decent cinematics in-between. Multiplayer is the reason you should pick this up, however.

Go grab a pair of extra controller for your Nintendo Switch and take the most out of this game and have lots of fun enjoying the story mode or Teaming up with your friends to kill COM players! It was fun on NES, SNES, Dreamcast, etc.

Good game if you just want to kill time and plays something different on your Nintendo switch.

When this game first was released, it had performance issues and a feeling that it wouldn't live up to its 49.99 price tag. I bought it expecting to use it for a weekend that a lot of friends were coming over and we'd have our fun with it before I traded it in the following week. Well, this game is now a crowd favorite to all my friends due to the amazing times this game has produced. The games single player mode is alright, nothing to write home about. But like I said, multiplayer makes or breaks this game and here it certainly makes it. An update was released by Konami that upgrades the frame rate to a smooth 60 fps, alleviating some of the performance gripes I had with the game when I first purchased it. The game isn't for everybody. 8 player multiplayer is fantastic, and I can't remember a time where I've ever been able to do that with a video game. Very simple controls make the game easy to teach and understand. Very glad I took a chance on Bomberman R.

I played bomberman on Nintendo 64 years and years ago. The way they redid this game is great

Its a fun game for the switch. I think Nintendo needs to release more titles like this one.

The game is very reminiscent of SNES Super Bomberman, and that's not a bad thing. 8 player support means that it's fun to play at a party, and the single player mode is challenging enough to make you want to play through it. Would be a better value at $40 rather than $50, however.

Even with all the first reviews about the game, i wasn't expecting much, but after playing it the first time, i remember the first bomberman games and how much a "blast" you can have (get it? hahaha), anyway, give it a try, you will be surprised, and the latest patches that have been released really make the game quite different (tried the game before patching it just to see how it was... and yes, it does help).
