Fun for the Family
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've played Bomberman since the beginning. This is mostly more of the same. The game is a downgrade from Bomberman Ultra as you can only have 4 players instead of 7. This is worth mentioning since the more players, the less predictable matches become making the game infinitely more fun. What makes Bomberman such a good game for parties is the ease of play. Just place a bomb and run. Since bombs can set off other bombs, the strategy of using another player's bomb explosions against them adds to the chaos. More players = More Chaos = More Fun Where this game fails is its lack of options from the start. Players must complete a story mode or multiplayer battles to unlock stuff. For multiplayer you start with 1 level. You must pay 2000-4000 coins to unlock the other levels. You only earn 150 coins per multiplayer match. If you think that's bad, try earning coins in story. While you get 800-1200 coins per level, should you fail, you have to pay 300 coins to continue the level. Given that the CPU characters are wickedly proficient, it's a tall task. For multiplayer, Bomberman is one of the best. Low learning curve and easy to win. For story and unlockables, they took a wrong turn. I would recommend this, but beware of the drawbacks.

Great game to play with my son
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved played Bomberman when I was a kid. I was excited to see that a new version came out. Introduced my son to it and he loves to play it now. The game has a lot of features and gameplay from the N64 days.
