Blast From the Past
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so surprised to find this soundtrack, since Super Fly is cultural reference in Black culture, especially regarding blaxplotation films. The musical genius of Curtis Mayfield is something to behold.

From another era, but a Gem!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you weren't around when Super Fly the movie came out, well you were missing something. Curtis Mayfield wrote and performed the theme song and just typified the style of the Fly (a cool dude in pimp clothes). Curtis was just ahead of his time. It might take you 4 or 5 listens to get used to his sound, but then you'll never want to junk this CD, it's timeless.
