Customers consistently note the high quality of the three included games, frequently citing the nostalgic appeal and overall value as significant positives. Many also enjoy the fun factor and portability of the collection. However, some users point to control and camera issues as potential drawbacks, along with a feeling that the games are not significantly enhanced from their original versions.

Great game to relive the mario nostalgia
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is great.most of the textures are upscaled it looks way better.i know its not the original mario 64 and is the shindo but it makes it better with the rumble support. It also has mario sunshine which is the only way to legally play it outside of the gamecube version. Super mario galaxy is fun just that the controls aren't the best. Overall its a pretty great game.

Great if you set your expectations
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is literally ports of the classics you love with HD scaled resolution and widescreen format. As long as that's what you expect, you will love this collection. This isn't a remake or a remaster. There isn't unreleased content or new modes (beyond the music selection), and there isn't anyway to change the controls. It's the games, as they were, working on today's consoles and tv sets. That being said, they have done one quality of life fix: the aim controls in Sunshine are no longer inverted! Thanks the Gods! However, if you did prefer the inverted controls, there is no way to change it back.

A blast from the past
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a blast from the past! I played all 3 of these games going back to Mario 64 in middle school. After I found out they were releasing it for a limited time, I had to get it. The games graphics are slightly more polished than before (especially Mario 64) but the gameplay hasn't changed. This set of games is a great price for 3 great titles and hours of fun.

Mario is definitely Super on the Switch!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the ability to play the classical 3D Mario games! These bring back memories and help me make new ones with the Mario games I never got to play. The graphical upgrades are great! The controls for Super Mario 64 are a bit touchy, but that's definitely gonna be the case when upgrading controls to a modern layout. Worth buying for sure!

A flash from the past
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have so much nostalgia for SM64 & Sunshine. It took some time to get used to the controls again, but getting back that piece of history was such a joy. 20+ years later for SM64, the cracks that were there at the beginning are showing through much more because of the polish of new-gen games, but it still has some outstanding gameplay and a drive to finish.

Good Dose of Nostalgia
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great price for the updated nostalgia kick. Having grown up with these games, it is great to be able to play them again on my big screen through the switch. I have yet to find any bugs yet with any of the three games and they have patched them since release as well so I'm confident it will continue to be a good gaming experience with this.

A great way to relive childhood memories!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many people who purchase this, I grew up on Mario games so when this was announced, it was an instant purchase. Despite the fact that these are three incredible games, I was hoping that Nintendo could do a little bit more to celebrate the iconic plumber's 35th birthday. You get the three games, a sound track, and that's it. No BTS videos, concept art, etc. Unsurspringly, Super Mario 64 has aged the worst out of the three. I wish Nintendo could have given Mario 64 the same care and attention they gave past 64 remakes like Star Fox or Ocarina of Time on the 3DS or even the Mario 64 remake that was already on the DS! If you're willing to get over the outdated design, you won't be able to remove that smile off your face the moment you hear the Bob-omb battlefield theme again. On the opposite end of the Mario collection spectrum, we have Super Mario Galaxy. Despite releasing on a console that was graphically inferior to it's main competitors, Super Mario Galaxy was and still is one of the best looking games on the Wii, and the 1080p resolution on the switch makes an already good looking game so much better. My biggest worry before playing this on the switch was how the Wii controls would transition onto the switch and for the most part, it works well with either the joy cons or pro controller. You're also given the option to use the touch screen as the pointer if you're playing in hand held mode. Personally I felt the touch screen was the least impressive as it requires you to take your focus away from making those precision jumps you might need to grab that tough star, so keep that in mind if you own a Switch Lite. Then there is Super Mario Sunshine, the game often perceived as the black sheep of the Mario franchise. Sunshine was also blessed with a 1080p resolution and it looks absolutely stunning. Personally this game controls the best out of the three since it came after 64 and before the Wii so you don't have to worry about outdated controls or gimmicks that consumers don't really care about anymore. All in all, if you love Mario and grew up with these games, you will have a blast with this collection. This collection is also great for newcomers who will get to experience these for the first time. Just be sure to temper those expectations as far as bonus content because there is virtually nothing there.

A great value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great collection of games in a portable format. I mainly bought this to relieve and finally beat Super Mario Sunshine without having to drag out my GameCube and risk the damage to the original disc. Yes, it is a port and not a true remaster, but this is the best way to play all three of these classic mainline Mario adventures in a modern format!

Great compilation of Mario’s Best Adventures
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.3D all stars is a great collection. Mario 64 looks and controls great. Sunshine looks fantastic but the unreversed FLUDD controls take a bit to get used to. Otherwise, it controls well. I was concerned how well Galaxy would control being ported over from the Wii. Pro controller works great, and the touch screen in portable mode is also a great option.

Great Collection of Games, Disappointing Bonuses
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Three solid games for one price - hard to complain about much there... Except for the fact that this was released as part of a celebration of Nintendo's beloved character. Yes, it does include the soundtracks of each game that you can listen to, but it seemed like a last minute addition. And there is absolutely NO additional content - no behind the scenes, making of, additional levels, special costumes, etc. It's a must-buy considering its limited release, but it seems like more of a cash-grab by Nintendo than a true celebration.
