Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the high quality of the three included games, frequently citing the nostalgic appeal and overall value as significant positives. Many also enjoy the fun factor and portability of the collection. However, some users point to control and camera issues as potential drawbacks, along with a feeling that the games are not significantly enhanced from their original versions.

Fun nostalgic game from the Wii now on the Switch!! Love it since I don’t have a wii anymore & it has 3 games in one!!! It was also cheaper here at Best Buy then at other competitor stores!! Love it & love 3 games for the price of one. Missed playing the galaxy game & was glad they came out with a version I can now play!

You get three great classic Mario games all rolled up into one. When you think of it that way the price doesn’t seem too bad. It’s three for the price of one. I’ve always enjoyed playing these types of games since I was a kid. I haven’t played some of them in a while so I was happy they are now available on the switch.

All three of the games in this collection are standout titles that still hold up today! When comparing them to the versions from their original consoles, they do look significantly cleaner and sharp! But the overall presentation of the package is pretty bare-bones. The only extras are the soundtracks included in the game cartridge. No other behind-the-scenes or extra content. No physical goodies along with the game. It just feels like they could’ve done more to celebrate the 35th anniversary of video gaming’s premier franchise.

While all three games have been played on the original systems for which they were released, the benefit of having all three fantastic games on the Nintendo Switch, allowing one to revisit them as well as play them on the go, is simply terrific. All three games can be enjoyed whenever and however (handheld or big screen) on the Switch.

Awesome game overall--I mean if you have already played them in the past and liked them, then you'll also enjoy this trio of excellent games on a single cart. Only downside is the fact these are emulated ports of the original games and not full on HD REMAKES. With that said--having all 3 games on one cart and ready to play on the go is excellent. A great trip down nostalgia lane, and anyone who enjoyed these games in the past should be happy to enjoy them again with the portability of the Switch.

This game will be limited and copies will stop being made on March 31, 2021. When this date comes you will still be able to play and download the game ONLY if you have purchased it before hand. Digital and physical copies will stop being sold/produced at that date so I highly recommend you to purchase this if you are even slightly thinking about it. You get 3 games for a really good price. Although it is just a port with some polishing and not a remake or anything, these games look nice and are definitely worth it.

In my opinion these are the best 3D Mario games in one collection for a decent price and they made the games in HD. Well the only down side to it is that the game is only available until March 31st and they should have made Super Mario 64 in wide screen, but besides that this collection is worth buying especially for Mario fans!

Releasing these 3 games all in one great package was a great move by Nintendo. I played 64 and Sunshine when I was little and it's great to get to relive those not to mention play Galaxy for the first time! Only downside is this will only be sold until March so if you're on the fence make sure you pick a copy up before then!

Great collection of games for any gamer or Nintendo fan! Three good games at a great price. Getting these games in their original format can cost you a pretty a penny, especially with Super Mario Sunshine. Definitely recommend this. It’s nice to play these in crisp, vivid HD also! Good amount of bang for the buck.

Oh my goodness. Such nostalgia! This definitely has brought me back to my childhood playing Mario 64. I showed my daughter all the cool games. I didn't play the other two because I didn't have the Game Cub or the original Wii BUT definitely worth the purchase!

For the first time in history you can revisit Mario sunshine outside of gamecube (legally). Mario 64 is a fun revisit that we have done at least 3 times over, and the camera is still the hardest boss in the game. Mario galaxy is just as charming as I remember. If you are looking for a remaster or 'remake' this isn't it. If you are looking to play the classics almost exactly as you remember them on a modern console, this is as close as it comes.

Good collection of classic 3D Mario games, but Mario 64 in 4:3 ratio in 2020?! Sunshine looks good, but only 30 frames in 2020?! Mario Galaxy looks amazing, but still could have redid the graphics, instead porting everything like it is. Good collection, but not great, plus no collectible books, or anything?! Nintendo did not do a complete job on this compilation. Really? 59.99 for 3 old ports of 3D Mario games?! Lazy, Nintendo lol. Worth it, but the collection should be 40 dollars, not 59.99.

These games are still super fun even today. Mario 64's controls will feel wonky if you didn't play the game when it came out, but otherwise this all works very well. The games are not remade at all, but they are upresed. So they look exactly like you remember them looking, but much better than they actually looked.

Like everyone else, I was surprised when Nintendo announced this collection. While they had re-released 64 and Galaxy before in the past, they hadn't done so with Sunshin. This also reconnected me to 64, a game I had back when I was a child and I hadn't played Galaxy before, so it was a no-brainer for me to get my hands on this collection. Mario 3D All-Stars has touched up on these games quite a bit. The games look sharper with their restoration and while 64 is kept at it's original 4:3 ratio, both Sunshine and Galaxy support widescreen and Galaxy to my surprise is running at a consistent 60 frames while the others are at 30 fps, though that has never bothered me in games. As for gameplay, these games are EXACTLY how I remember they were when I played them My only gripe of concern is the fact that Sunshine isn't supporting the Gamecube controllers (despite the fact that it is a Gamecube game) and the lack of additional content outside of the soundtracks to each game and the lack of Galaxy 2, a game that many people swear up and down is even way better than the first one. I hear rumors that Nintendo WAS planning to put Galaxy 2 in the collection but they were running out of time and the COVID quarantine did not help matters, though they might release it as a bonus DLC or something. But as these are rumors, I'll treat them as rumors for now. Oh, and if you're a speedrunner and didn't hear, the version of 64 they used here is the Shidou Pak Taiou version that originally released in Japan to support the Rumble Pack for the N64 and was based on the American version of 64. In that update, they patched out the Backwards Long Jump. Thought you should know. Other then that, I recommend this collection. It's a great way to familiarize youself to the games from your childhood or if you're experiencing them for the first time. It's also the perfect way to introduce your kids to how gaming was like when you were their age.

I’m too young to have played on the N64, I didn’t have a GameCube growing up, and I just straight up missed out on Galaxy. I was pretty happy to hear that they were releasing these three games as a bundle on the Switch, because now I could finally enjoy these classics. The controls and camera are suuuper janky, so I’m assuming this is just emulated and not remastered or anything. I’m not saying it’s completely unplayable though, but it’s the reason why my review isn’t 5 stars.

Super Mario 3-D All-Stars is an incredible package that offers three games for the price of one. You get to relive your childhood memories as you play through Super Mario 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy, all for the price of what it would cost to get Super Mario Odyssey! Overall, great games, and worth the money!

Super Mario 64 is a classic. One of the best 64 games ever, while sunshine is a standout fun time that puts you into a wonderful world of water. And then there’s Galaxy. The best game (in my opinion) in this collection. Brings back many memories that make me feel amazingly nostalgic. 10/10 great collection
