Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the high quality of the three included games, frequently citing the nostalgic appeal and overall value as significant positives. Many also enjoy the fun factor and portability of the collection. However, some users point to control and camera issues as potential drawbacks, along with a feeling that the games are not significantly enhanced from their original versions.

Title says it all. Things look really good upscaled. I've found myself defaulting to the old GameCube controller when I'm trying to play it, which has created a few fun issues when I'm playing Sunshine. Solid experience, but only four stars because Nintendo is only offering this limited. But if you've got nostalgia for some of the best Marion games of all time then snap it up.

It's pretty amazing to be able to play the three of the games together on the Switch. Nostalgia may hit you hard when playing through Mario 64 or Sunshine; I still think they hold up very well today (if you can get used to the controls).

What other way to put it other than nostalgia? The Super Mario 3D All Stars collection hit the spot in that factor, and did a fine job at serving these games some justice with an HD remaster. As a person born too early play Sunshine, but played and never fully enjoyed 64, I'm happy to finally get to enjoy them again fully grown at their maximum potential. Especially Super Mario 64, despite it still being in 4:3. The collection really seems to hit it home with Mario Galaxy for a lot of people, and I'm proud to say I'm one of those people. Super Mario Galaxy feels like the biggest upgrade, obviously, at 1080p 60FPS. And the game in general still hits different 13 years after release. I'm proud to own this collection with all my heart, and it's hard to ask for more than this even if it does have it's many flaws.

Fun games, but no update in controls.

These are classic games, but I feel like this should have been a $30-40 title, and I am not alone. There was little to no work done to any of the games. The controls in Mario 64 just feel awful after coming from Odyssey and even Galaxy. Even Sunshine could have used a more updated control scheme. After charging me the $60 for a full priced game, they could have at least re-worked the camera system in SM64 to get rid of the awful 90 degree rotation. It's just muscle memory now to use the joystick and try and freely rotate the camera. The audio you get when hitting the stick gets annoying after about 5 minutes. At the end of the day, I bought this to enjoy these great games with my son who has never played them. He really likes Sunshine, but because of what I mentioned above, couldn't get anywhere with 64. After going through Odyssey, this is a major step back. While it sort of makes sense, because it IS a step back, a slight change could have brought it back in all it's glory. Question below asks "would I recommend." It's loaded... I'm gonna say no, because none of my other friends have kids. They've all played these games and have great memories of them. If you have kids who haven't experienced these games, the controls will NOT match what they are used to and they might have a hard time.

This is not a remaster. This is 3 masterpieces, only slightly modified and updated to replicate the wonderful experiences on modern technology, your TV and the Nintendo Switch. Galaxy is the true gem, Sunshine truly looks and feels markedly better than the original, although there may be minor changes that old school fans will need to adjust to (which most quickly will). Mario 64 benefits least from upgrades, but resolution and texture upgrades do help. It's pretty much the same classic game, just emulated 75% as well as unofficial emulation - which is still a great way to play an amazing classic. No frills here - 3 great Mario 3D games, now on Switch, in faithful redisplays of the originals, but with some general quality of life and visual improvements. Easy purchase for any Nintendo fan.

Excellent games. Everyone that likes platforms will like them. Super Mario 64 is amazing. Newcomers may have problems with the camera. Try to stick with it a little bit more if this is your case. This game deserves to be played.

This is a good game! I am so excited they made this game for the Nintendo switch. I love it and have been playing it a lot. I haven’t quite beat the game yet which means I consider it a good deal.

While they didn't do a whole lot to the games to make them feel new and remastered in a way, it's still cool to play Mario 64, Sunshine & Galaxy on my Nintendo Switch. I wish they added Mario Galaxy 2, but still.

Such a fun game! I loved Super Mario Galaxy growing up and was so excited to be able to play it on my Switch. The controls are slightly different to account for a different game system but the story is exactly as I remember it.

I know we all want a remake but having the original games preserved as is is good enough for me. Would be ice if the camera in 64 had modern controls but after a while I got the hang of it. And Galaxy looks amazing on my 4K tv.

Nice collection of Mario's 3D platformers. I forgot how hard Mario 64 could get. The controls aren't as precise as what we get with games nowadays. Never Played Mario Sunshine when it originally came out. That game is very difficult and very different in terms of mechanics. Mario Galaxy is the stand out game here. If you love Mario, definitely recommend.

From the classic debut of 3D Mario in Super Mario 64, to the high flying thrill of Super Mario Galaxy, this collection offers HD remasters of these cult classics. Although very few changes have been made between the original version and the Switch port, for those who have never played them, and for those who are huge fans, will immediately love them. Each game runs smoothly on the Switch, and through my extensive play of each title, I have been very satisfied with the port quality. Some people have complained that the titles aren’t fully remastered, but to have these three games available in the quality they are, I find it hard to complain. I’d recommend this title for anyone looking to sink a lot of hours into some incredible 3D platformers. It’s worth the money.

A great collection of 3 of my favorite Mario Games ever! It's so nice to have a physical copy of 3 classic Mario games for Nintendo Switch. First of all Mario 64 looks, plays, and controls better than ever. Mario Sunshine looked amazing for It's time and it still holds up graphically to today's standards. Mario Galaxy also looks great and control's so well especially since it's the only Mario game out of the collection that runs at 60 fps and the touch screen does a good job making up for the lack of Wii mote for that game. At the end of the day all 3 games look and play better than ever no matter which way you decide to play them. Docked, tabletop, or handheld mode you will be able to enjoy 3 amazing Mario Adventures for the Nintendo Switch.

Amazing set of games for a great deal! controls feel slightly different on sunshine but doesn't take away from the experience. Galaxy feels the most effortless in the transition and is a personal favorite of the three.
