They need to stop pushing Mario 64 as the games graphics have not held up well with time. I'd rather have seen Mario Galaxy 2 on here and I am sure others would of too.

A Safe but Solid Collection

Nothing else is really new or “remastered” here. It’s fun and having Sunshine and Galaxy in HD and on the go is really neat. Making users use the touchscreen to shoot starbits in Galaxy while in handheld mode is awful, though. You essentially have to stop playing the game to shoot starbits and I’ve taken multiple unfair hits when it’s required. Other than that it’s great fun.

Only worth it for Mario Galaxy

A collection that could have been amazing if Nintendo put in any effort to modernize the Mario 64 and also put in basic control options such as camera controls seems like a huge missed opportunity. Mario Galaxy is still awesome and missing Galaxy 2 feels like a huge hole in this collection.
