Low-effort collection leaves much to be desired
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Putting aside how low-effort the rest of the ports are (you can read about that elsewhere and make up your mind), the controls in all 3 games are downright AWFUL. They didn't spend any time cleaning up the controls to actually work on the switch. Do you want to use the right stick to control mario 64 like every other 3d platformer in the last 15 years? Well you can't, it's emulating an n64 c-stick Do you want to use FLUDD as it was intended by the original designers? Well you can't, the switch doesn't have analog triggers, and their solution is deeply cumbersome. But don't worry, maybe you have a gamecube adapter and want to play Sunshine the way it was intended. Oops, you can't do that either because it gets recognized as a Pro controller. Do you want to play Galaxy with some normal dual analog controls? Well good luck, you'll keep getting told to tap the screen in handheld mode. That's right, they were too lazy to mirror the wii cursor controls to the right stick, which is unused. This is your flagship series, Nintendo. If you don't care, why should we? Do better.
