Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the high quality of the three included games, frequently citing the nostalgic appeal and overall value as significant positives. Many also enjoy the fun factor and portability of the collection. However, some users point to control and camera issues as potential drawbacks, along with a feeling that the games are not significantly enhanced from their original versions.

This is a great complication of the 3D super Mario series. It’s the only way to play Sunshine from the GameCube. The games are faithfully reproduced- and the added save functionality is great for quick play. Love that it’s portable, too.

this is a great game i've already put multiple hours of gameplay beating one of the 3 games included, it would've gotten 5 stars if nintendo made this available after march 2021 other than that game play is great just like the originals but the really shining star is mario galaxy for me they made the feel of the controls great even on a different console that has a complete different idea for a controller.

Can never get bored with Mario. It suits all ages. This comes with 3 games and all 3 i’ve never played before since i don't own the console it originally was made for. Now, perfect time to bring it all back in and spend hours collecting everything.

I bought this mostly for super Mario sunshine, and it did not disappoint. I loved the game on GameCube and I love it on Switch. I highly suggest using a GameCube for playing it but I have been so impressed with these three games and recommend it to everyone.

While I'm not a fan of this being a timed release, this is an excellent port of three classic Mario games. There are instances (especially on SM64) where the controls feel dated, but I've had an overwhelmingly positive experience with this package!

Three extremely fun and cool games that are very fun to play, however, given what other companies are doing with re-releases and remasters these days, usually for a lower price, this comes off as blatantly greedy. What's more, the fact that it's a limited product is weird. Very fun, but whether or not it's worth the value and the strange distribution choices leave some question marks.

These are 3 of the best 3D platforming games of all time, which is enough to warrant a purchase. The only issue that I have is that Nintendo should have spent a few more resources here on this game and not made it feel like it was just a port.

I've been replaying Super Mario 64 and it's been an absolute blast! I used rewards to get this for half the price, but I still see it as a solid deal at $60 for all three games. Whether you're playing them for the first time or revisiting, please play them!

Had to buy a switch to play this game for the nostalgia of Super Mario 64. I've been playing on and off to get through all 3 games and I'm Mario Galaxy right now. I haven't had any issues and all 3 games look great on the Switch.

This collection is one of the best ways to experience these three Mario games in the current age. Previously, Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy was most recently playable on the Wii U, and Super Mario Sunshine on the Nintendo Gamecube. This collection allows players the convenience of having these games on the go. The only "downside" is that the collection has some weird scaling when playing Sunshine, with some slowdown occurring during certain sections of the game, such as on the map screen, as well as through some glitches that weren't fixed in this release. I encourage anyone who haven't played these games to give these games a try if they have a Switch with no other means to play these games, if you have already played these games then only get this game if you want the convenience of having three games on the same system without purchasing older hardware.

All the games look great upscaled. Galaxy looks especially beautiful but the motion control is a bit wonky in a few parts of the game. Already getting close to the end of 64 I can't believe how much of the game was played instinctually. Thanks Nintendo!

Like everyone else here, I grew up on Nintendo and Super Mario. I was so excited to play these games again, they are just like I remembered... but with HD graphics!! If you love Mario, regardless if you played these games in the past, you need this game!

This is a great collection of games. Mario 64 was always one of my favorites. Never had the chance to play Mario Sunshine so it’s a great opportunity to pick this up if you’ve missed these games in the past.

Still never beat these games after buying this. Wasn't as great as I expected it to be, but the nostalgia was there. After playing hours of Odyssey it was hard to give these games the time they deserved.

Never played either of these games upon release as I was a NES and SNES guy. Nice to have all three of these on the same system so I can played them whenever I want. From my understanding, these are better looking games than the originals as well.

As someone who has never been able to afford previous game consoles and who’s first owned console is the Nintendo Switch, it’s really nice to be able to play these classics. Though I personally didn’t like Sunshine as much, I really enjoyed Galaxy and 64

Absolutely a wonderful collection to have on the Nintendo Switch. Obviously Mario 64 looks dated still but otherwise it’s so much fun along with Sunshine and Galaxy looking better than ever. I do highly recommend you play Galaxy on a TV with the joy cons.

Classic games, but a lack of effort from Nintendo

This is a barebones compilation, and bare minimum offering from Nintendo. Because the games themselves are so good I still can't help but love err like this collection. A reoccurring theme is the lack of effort to improve the games. Mario 64 has a few blurry textures replaced, but it's minimal. They could have improved the now ancient camera system, could have made it widescreen, and could have managed 60fps. That's a lot of big could haves. Super Mario Sunshine at least runs in 1080p, but still only at 30fps. Right off the bat in the control tutorial Nintendo's laziness is in the spotlight. Instead of new audio for the tutorial, they snipped out when the voice says the control's button (since they're different on the Switch). That just adds a cheapness to the whole thing. The X button over the onscreen FLUDD icon is still from the Gamecube controller as well. I almost forgot to mention, the Gamecube controller isn't compatible either. Super Mario Galaxy has been improved with "up to" 1080p resolution(it's dynamic) AND 60fps, finally. This version also provides multiple control schemes. Not really any complaints here. Other thoughts: - No Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Emulation: while it itself isn't bad, it's just another point to add to Nintendo's lazy effort with this collection. - Sunshine and Galaxy both look gorgeous with the bumped up resolution and could pass as original Switch games. Mario 64 though could have really benefitted from a ground up remake.
