Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the high quality of the three included games, frequently citing the nostalgic appeal and overall value as significant positives. Many also enjoy the fun factor and portability of the collection. However, some users point to control and camera issues as potential drawbacks, along with a feeling that the games are not significantly enhanced from their original versions.

This game collection is a must have for collectors but most importantly for anyone who never got the chance to play these classics. Three generations of Nintendo systems all on one cartridge. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because it’s a shame that Nintendo didn’t take a bit more time putting this together. This was a great opportunity to improve the graphics (mostly for Mario 64) and work out a bit of the camera quarks that frustrated players back on the N64 and GameCube. All those same quarks are still present in this collection. Overall I really love these games (Mario Galaxy looks amazing on the Switch) and they hold a very special and nostalgic place in history for gamers.

    3 Nintendo Classics, Special Release

While I didn't understand the limited release of this game at the time I bought it, I see why Nintendo did this now that they've released the Nintendo Online Expansion Pack. That being said, I'm glad I bought this when I did because I'm not interested in the Expansion Pack. This bundle includes arguably my favorite Mario game, Super Mario Galaxy, and a couple of Mario games I actually missed out on playing in my youth. I never owned an N64 or a GameCube, so I'm playing Super Mario 64 and Sunshine for the first time. First impressions of them both: - Super Mario 64: if you're after nostalgia and revisiting a classic game you grew up with, then I'm sure you'll enjoy this. I forget if this has been touched up at all or just re-released as-is, but it's clear that you're playing a dated game. At one point very early on, I got lost and didn't know where to go and there was no clear direction. Thank goodness for online guides XD - Super Mario Sunshine: this game plays remarkably well on the modem Switch. The FLUDD mechanics take some getting used to, and I've heard there are some very challenging tasks in this game, but I found myself enjoying this game as much as later Super Mario 3D games. I haven't started Super Mario Galaxy yet, but I completed the original on the Wii, including collecting all the Purple Coins, so I'm looking forward to replaying this one and enjoying it all over again, with a few exceptions.

I had no idea this game was even available! I got the last one they had in stock and was stoked about it. It has Mario 64 and galaxy from the wii. Two of my favorite Mario games! It also has sunshine which I never played! Definitely recommend this 3 in 1 based on the nostalgia alone.

I loved playing mario 64 in this collection with the hd enhanced graphics but mario sunshine looked a little too crisp for my liking. I never realized how bad the character models looked in mario sunshine until they were exposed to the hd filter. I wish there were filter options so I could see how these games originally looked because the hd filter in mario sunshine exposed the game too much and made the experience less nostalgic and less enjoyable for me. Mario galaxy looked amazing with the hd graphics and was done really well but the change in the controls was a little weird.

What a deal.. three great games from my childhood well at least with 64 and Sunshine. Only thing is I forgot how hard it was for me to get the controls for sunshine down when I was a kid but after an hour I was good to go this time:). Great game for everyone this Christmas you really can’t go wrong with it I would have purchased all of these games separately for the switch had they released it like that but what a deal

    A Super Limited Mario Game

Super Mario 3D Allstars is a must buy. These are not remakes but the games look better. Nintendo has since launch updated so you can adjust the way your camera controls. Controlling the camera Super Mario 64 for new players may feel strange but hey that was cutting edge back in the day when it released. However, once you get the hang out it playing through the game and finding the stars is a thrill. Super Mario Sunshine was a game I never finished but its way better than I thought. Alot of people hate on Sunshine but I’ve really enjoyed my time in Sunshine. Its an easier game to me than Mario 64 because in Sunshine they show you a clue to where the star is. So I’d say its a easier game. Galaxy looks really good but its a game I struggle controlling the most with its orientation. Maybe I haven’t figured out how to best control Mario but he’s upside down it makes me dizzy. I wish this collection wasn’t a limited release but thankfully there seems to be plenty of copies (right now) for people to buy. I just worry about the kids who get a Switch post March 31 and aren’t able to get this. I think that could be a turnoff for would be players and thats not a good way to increase your player base and to bring on the next generation of Mario fans. Could Nintendo have remade these- or have include a remake option so you could have decided to play the original or remaster- yes. Could they have included more special features- yes. But I’m just glad we got these games for the Switch.

Mario 64 was so shakey and hitchy that it made me physically nauseous. Mario Sunshine had some pretty bad input latency (playing on pro controller). Mario Galaxy is the best in the package. However, with the originals with an inverted Y-axis, these controls are standard and there is no option to change them. It makes the muscle memory useless. The games are classics and I'm glad to have them, but these ports could have used more TLC and not the rush and up-res job that they got; quality of life improvements are needed and frame rates need to be fixed. It is a shame because these games are S-tier classic 3D Mario games that just could be better.

This is a tremendous product. Nintendo made very slight improvements to these titles, but they are essentially as you remembered them. Given everyone's N64 controllers are in terrible shape and the original consoles need help connecting to modern televisions, this is a no-brainer purchase. It's just a shame that Nintendo has not given us the assurance that this will be available after March 2021.
