Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the high quality of the three included games, frequently citing the nostalgic appeal and overall value as significant positives. Many also enjoy the fun factor and portability of the collection. However, some users point to control and camera issues as potential drawbacks, along with a feeling that the games are not significantly enhanced from their original versions.

I have so much nostalgia for SM64 & Sunshine. It took some time to get used to the controls again, but getting back that piece of history was such a joy. 20+ years later for SM64, the cracks that were there at the beginning are showing through much more because of the polish of new-gen games, but it still has some outstanding gameplay and a drive to finish.

It's a great price for the updated nostalgia kick. Having grown up with these games, it is great to be able to play them again on my big screen through the switch. I have yet to find any bugs yet with any of the three games and they have patched them since release as well so I'm confident it will continue to be a good gaming experience with this.

Ever since the Wii, I fell in love with SM Galaxy. This game right here has been one of the best decisions Nintendo has made. 3 cool games for the prize of 1! A lot of fun hours await for you!

Like many people who purchase this, I grew up on Mario games so when this was announced, it was an instant purchase. Despite the fact that these are three incredible games, I was hoping that Nintendo could do a little bit more to celebrate the iconic plumber's 35th birthday. You get the three games, a sound track, and that's it. No BTS videos, concept art, etc. Unsurspringly, Super Mario 64 has aged the worst out of the three. I wish Nintendo could have given Mario 64 the same care and attention they gave past 64 remakes like Star Fox or Ocarina of Time on the 3DS or even the Mario 64 remake that was already on the DS! If you're willing to get over the outdated design, you won't be able to remove that smile off your face the moment you hear the Bob-omb battlefield theme again. On the opposite end of the Mario collection spectrum, we have Super Mario Galaxy. Despite releasing on a console that was graphically inferior to it's main competitors, Super Mario Galaxy was and still is one of the best looking games on the Wii, and the 1080p resolution on the switch makes an already good looking game so much better. My biggest worry before playing this on the switch was how the Wii controls would transition onto the switch and for the most part, it works well with either the joy cons or pro controller. You're also given the option to use the touch screen as the pointer if you're playing in hand held mode. Personally I felt the touch screen was the least impressive as it requires you to take your focus away from making those precision jumps you might need to grab that tough star, so keep that in mind if you own a Switch Lite. Then there is Super Mario Sunshine, the game often perceived as the black sheep of the Mario franchise. Sunshine was also blessed with a 1080p resolution and it looks absolutely stunning. Personally this game controls the best out of the three since it came after 64 and before the Wii so you don't have to worry about outdated controls or gimmicks that consumers don't really care about anymore. All in all, if you love Mario and grew up with these games, you will have a blast with this collection. This collection is also great for newcomers who will get to experience these for the first time. Just be sure to temper those expectations as far as bonus content because there is virtually nothing there.

A great collection of games in a portable format. I mainly bought this to relieve and finally beat Super Mario Sunshine without having to drag out my GameCube and risk the damage to the original disc. Yes, it is a port and not a true remaster, but this is the best way to play all three of these classic mainline Mario adventures in a modern format!

3D all stars is a great collection. Mario 64 looks and controls great. Sunshine looks fantastic but the unreversed FLUDD controls take a bit to get used to. Otherwise, it controls well. I was concerned how well Galaxy would control being ported over from the Wii. Pro controller works great, and the touch screen in portable mode is also a great option.

Three solid games for one price - hard to complain about much there... Except for the fact that this was released as part of a celebration of Nintendo's beloved character. Yes, it does include the soundtracks of each game that you can listen to, but it seemed like a last minute addition. And there is absolutely NO additional content - no behind the scenes, making of, additional levels, special costumes, etc. It's a must-buy considering its limited release, but it seems like more of a cash-grab by Nintendo than a true celebration.

This is a very fun game! This 3-in-one includes some of the best Mario games! You cannot BLJ so it’s not good for speed runs.

All three of the games in this collection are standout titles that still hold up today! When comparing them to the versions from their original consoles, they do look significantly cleaner and sharp! But the overall presentation of the package is pretty bare-bones. The only extras are the soundtracks included in the game cartridge. No other behind-the-scenes or extra content. No physical goodies along with the game. It just feels like they could’ve done more to celebrate the 35th anniversary of video gaming’s premier franchise.

Fun nostalgic game from the Wii now on the Switch!! Love it since I don’t have a wii anymore & it has 3 games in one!!! It was also cheaper here at Best Buy then at other competitor stores!! Love it & love 3 games for the price of one. Missed playing the galaxy game & was glad they came out with a version I can now play!

You get three great classic Mario games all rolled up into one. When you think of it that way the price doesn’t seem too bad. It’s three for the price of one. I’ve always enjoyed playing these types of games since I was a kid. I haven’t played some of them in a while so I was happy they are now available on the switch.

While all three games have been played on the original systems for which they were released, the benefit of having all three fantastic games on the Nintendo Switch, allowing one to revisit them as well as play them on the go, is simply terrific. All three games can be enjoyed whenever and however (handheld or big screen) on the Switch.

This game will be limited and copies will stop being made on March 31, 2021. When this date comes you will still be able to play and download the game ONLY if you have purchased it before hand. Digital and physical copies will stop being sold/produced at that date so I highly recommend you to purchase this if you are even slightly thinking about it. You get 3 games for a really good price. Although it is just a port with some polishing and not a remake or anything, these games look nice and are definitely worth it.
