Customers consistently note the high quality of the three included games, frequently citing the nostalgic appeal and overall value as significant positives. Many also enjoy the fun factor and portability of the collection. However, some users point to control and camera issues as potential drawbacks, along with a feeling that the games are not significantly enhanced from their original versions.

It's alright
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you don't own any of these Mario games in any other fashion, and want to play them go for it. They are basically the same as when they launched on their respective consoles. Mario 64 is a little rough because of its age, but it's still a fine game. Mario Sunshine was always contested if it was good or not, but this version is a little better than the original. This version fixes the inverted stick problem, and puts the game in windscreen which I don't believe was the case in the original game. As for Mario Galaxy it's probably the best game in this collection. The only change that I can see is taking a move that required motion controls and binding it to a button. It's just a shame that they didn't add Galaxy 2 to this collection. Overall it's a pretty okay rerelease, but the games on their own are good enough to hold it up.

Three Must-Own games!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Three must-own classics! I was lucky enough to be an adult when even Mario 64 first came out, and while those days cannot ever hope to be recaptured, this collection of three classic Mario games does come close. If you are a fan of Nintendo and Mario and just classic gaming that is timeless, then then this is a must own. There is not much more to say that has not already been said about these over the years, but if you own a Switch or intend to one day get one, then you need to immediately pick this up!

Great collection. Could have been amazing.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are a Mario fan, you probably owe it to yourself to get this collection. But you need to realized it's pretty bare bones. Except for the soundtrack, no special features at all. Mario64: Minor enhancements including the camera are welcome. Still an amazing game. Sunshine: Minor enhancements including the camera are welcome. One of the most underappreciated Mario game. They could have done so much more, but the game is faithful to the original. Galaxy: The newest and prettiest. Motion controls work generally well. I don't feel there is a ton more they could have done with Galaxy aside from special features. It's one of my favorite Mario games. This is a must own package for any Mario lover. It's unfortunate Nintendo didn't give it a bit more love. It's reported going away in six months, so.... Buy it now if you want it.

Fun collection
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A superb collection indeed , and as always thanks to AMAZON for the early delivery. Those of us who missed NINTENDO 64, GAMECUBE and WII consoles will surely cherish this collection on NINTENDO SWITCH. The cartridge contains all 3 games along with their complete soundtrack . It downloaded a minor patch sized 25MB . Mario 64 runs at 4:3 aspect ratio because it's too old and although the graphics are upscaled still there is no problem playing once you get familiar with the controls. SUPER MARIO SUNSHINE is looking beautiful with vibrant colours and the controls are smooth. Best looking among the 3 games is SUPER MARIO GALAXY. It runs at full 60fps And the touch controls on SWITCH works like a breeze. It's much more enjoyable to play in dock mode cause you'll enjoy the motion sensitive controls of SWITCH JOY CONS.

A blast from the past!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaying these games, it's like a blast to the past from when I was a kid. My only complaint is that they are not a true remaster, just an upres/port. However, Sunshine is one of my favorite games of all time, so it was worth it.

Bare-Bones Collection of Classic Games
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s hard to not be a bit disappointed by this collection. Yes, it includes the mainline Mario 3D games from the Nintendo 64, GameCube, and Wii era. A trilogy of games from over a decade of Nintendo’s history. The 3D platforming genre defining Mario 64, it’s quirky love it or hate it sequel Mario Sunshine, and the beloved Mario Galaxy. However, very little work has done to update these games for modern audiences. Mario 64 shows it’s age with no widescreen support and poor camera controls. Galaxy still retains motion controls, a remnant of the fad of the Wii nunchucks. Sunshine, the least revered game of the collection, gets the most love with 16x9 support and removes the fixed inverted controls, but with no option to switch them back for people that preferred the original layout. And the only bonuses provided are the soundtracks for the games. When this collection was long rumored, it was hard to not image a full remake of Mario 64, the removal of the odd bugs and glitches in Sunshine that tarnished a game rushed to market, the inclusion of Galaxy 1 and 2 with updates for the portable Switch with no motion controls. Full 60 frames and second with high resolution on all three games. Sadly, we didn’t get that. What we did get was three great games on the Switch in one package, which isn’t nothing. Perhaps Nintendo had grander plans to celebrate Mario’s 35th anniversary and Covid-19 interrupted their development, who knows. What we do know, as if to add salt to the wound, is this collection is only available for 6 months, physical and digital both. An artificial scarcity tactic to encourage sales of a bare-bones collection over the holidays in a Disney Vault like fashion, during a pandemic and world wide economic recession. Mario 64 is my favorite video game of all time, the video game that made me fall in love with video games. I’ve love to tell everyone to pick up this collection and celebrate these classic gems from Nintendo history. Unfortunately, I can’t say that. A lot of people may decide to wait until the next time Nintendo digs into their vault and to hope that when that happens that they will show more love to their history and more respect towards their fans. And those people aren’t wrong.

Lots of memories, a little pricey.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Joy stick controls are a bit touchier than on the original consoles, but the games still play and look great. $60 seems a bit high for three games being just straight ported over, but it’s still a lot of fun and brings back good memories.

Fantastic game.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A tad disappointed when hearing the game is emulated rather than ported natively to the switch but still 3 timeless classics in one box all on a console you can take with you anywhere, I can't really complain about that. Highly recommend.

Good collection for the Mario fan
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The collection is great. The games are good. Super Mario Galaxy was intended to be used with a Wii remote pointer tool. The workaround used is okay, not great. Super Mario Sunshine is kind of boring after a little while.
