Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the high quality of the three included games, frequently citing the nostalgic appeal and overall value as significant positives. Many also enjoy the fun factor and portability of the collection. However, some users point to control and camera issues as potential drawbacks, along with a feeling that the games are not significantly enhanced from their original versions.

Two out of three isn't bad.

Super Mario Sunshine is easily the worst game of the series. I had never played it before getting the collection, and figured it's lukewarm reception was the usual poor judgement of your typical gamer, but they were right, it's a beta version of a concept and it shows in every way. Thankfully Mario 64 is still a brilliant masterpiece that holds up easily to the test of time, and Mario Galaxy is a brilliant mix of old and new gaming elements the likes of which most platformers cannot compare. They're both gorgeous in HD, so ultimately it was a fine collection.

This is an excellent collection of some must have games. Play on the go is one of the best features of owning this game.

These games are all excellent, and including them together in a pack was a great idea. However, limiting the availability to a specific date is absurd, and not fair to people who may need more time to get the money together.

I was going to skip on this game until I heard that it is going to be a limited release. I played Mario 64 as a kid many times, it’s still the same great game. The controls are updated for the switch and it is easier to play with two joysticks vs the one the Nintendo 64 had. I wish they would have remastered the game, perhaps in the future. Mario Sunshine is a weird game I haven’t played yet, but I’ll finally get to play it along with Mario Galaxy. I never played those two so it’s something new for me to play. The graphics look fine in hand held mode on the switch. If you haven’t played any of these yet; I highly recommend you grab a copy. If these Mario games weren’t your cup of tea, then I don’t think you’ll miss out on much since they are just direct ports of the old games with minor controller upgrades.

I had just about forgotten how much fun these games were back in the day! Now with the added bonus of Super Mario Galaxy which I had never played before, this has been a great addition to my switch games. If you have fond memories of playing these games before, don't wait and buy this. You won't regret it. I would include photos but I don't really see the point. Gameplay is available through many YouTube videos and I think it's pointless to take a picture of the box. LOL! Thanks for reading. :)

If you haven't experienced on or two of these games, now is the time to do just that. The overall quality is a definite upgrade from the original. My time going through Sunshine has been nothing short of fun and amazing, can't wait to play through Galaxy next! 1 downside though, if you have played all 3 original versions of the game and you have them in your library, then I don't see this being worth it unless, for collector's sake. The inverted cameras really messed me up when I booted up SM64 for the first time.

2 of my all time favorite games (Galaxy and 64) with Sunshine to boot. Worth the price of admission. Only thing missing is Galaxy 2.

Three great 3D Mario platformers in one package. A couple of things keep this from being perfect for me. First, I can't understand why they kept SMG 2 out of this collection. It is sorely missing. I understand why the others were included, and really appreciate Sunshine's inclusion (i feel it hasn't gotten a fair shake) -a whole new generation will get to experience it. However, this collection seems incomplete without Galaxy 2. Second, while all three games look better than they've ever had, it still feels like a lazy port. Honestly have seen fans do better emulation than Nintendo did this time around. Lastly (i know i said two things but still...), why can't i just play galaxy without motion controls? i mean, come on. Other than that, like i said, nostalgia and warm fuzzy feelings all around.

Nostalgia for the win. Mario 64 was just as infuriating as I remember when I first played in 1996 - fighting with the camera. But obtaining 120 stars felt incredible. Who needs achievements or trophies? Good ole satisfaction feels nice. Sunshine had some issues with debug boxes visible. Galaxy is great but I do wish they also included galaxy 2. Either way, this will no longer be sold by Nintendo come march 2021 (digitally as well.) So what are you waiting for? Yours truly, Princess Toadstool...Peach

On the surface it's a great collection of Mario titles uniquely packaged together. Mario Sunshine has not seen another release since it first was released for Gamecube in the early 2000s and is a welcome addition to this release. However, despite the upscaling done to the graphics, Nintendo left out some things like converting to 60fps that really would have smoothed out the feel of these games. The selection screen leaves a little to be desired and the inclusion of the soundtracks (really?) for each game while omitting other 3D titles like Galaxy 2 and 3D Land/World is pretty bogus. Still, don't let these things dissuade you. These are classic titles that are each strong on their own and owning this limited release cartridge version is a must own for anyone who loves 3D Mario platformers.

Mario 64 is still very rough to play. This combo is a great deal but its held back by the fact that they are just ports of old versions and not updated versions with better controls or looks. Still lots of good gameplay to be had

Incredible Games; Just Know What You're In For

With this game, just know what you’re in for. These aren’t from the ground up remakes like Crash, Spyro or Tony Hawk. However, I personally don’t think the games needed that. The unfortunate reality is that, for how much these games go for nowadays (Sunshine being around $70 on its own), this is the most convenient and affordable way to play all three games. I had a blast replaying all three. Sure, the $60 price tag hurt at first, and it does feel pretty lazy on Nintendo’s part. But, when you’re talking about three of the best games in Mario’s catalog (yes, even Sunshine), being able to play all three portably really made it worth it.
