Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the high quality of the three included games, frequently citing the nostalgic appeal and overall value as significant positives. Many also enjoy the fun factor and portability of the collection. However, some users point to control and camera issues as potential drawbacks, along with a feeling that the games are not significantly enhanced from their original versions.

My son enjoys the game tremendously and it has brought a new appreciation of the Mario series of games to our home.

The joycons are a bit touchy compared to the old N64 and gamecube controllers, otherwise the games are ported well

Let’s be honest, this is Nintendo emulating these classic titles on the switch. Were bugs fixed? Nope. So if you think this is a “remaster” it’s not; it’s simply the games as they were with a resolution boost so that no one could complain. Only good thing is you can play these classics anytime and anywhere.

This didn’t get 5 stars because different maneuvers require different button combinations and it gets confusing.

Okay, I guess. It has a games in one, N64 version of Mario 64 and not the ds which is a bummer but overall meh.

Still trying to figure this game out. Maybe not the best purchase for someone with no depth perception.

Great classics. Would be better if they were remakes, but that isn't how Nintendo likes to do things.

The port of mario 64 is the original one, not the cleaner, newer version that came out for ds. That means less sharp graphics, clunkier controls and no cool extras like playing as luigi or yoshi. Mario sunshine I've always found to be a pretty average game and this switch version is pretty average. Nothing special about any of the three games, really. Mario galaxy uses the motion of your joy cons or pro controller to direct your pointer to collect stars. It's absolutely horrible and there is no way around it. They should not have even bothered putting this game on here. To be honest, this collection is totally unnecessary and a waste of money. There is no difference between these games and their original versions, and the originals weren't that good to begin with. Save your money for a game Nintendo decides to put some effort in to.

Super mario 64's camera is weird and messes up the game, per my 11yo son.

I wanted a physical version of this game, since this is the first time all three games were ported to the switch.

Mario 64 and Sunshine still have the worst controls ever but galaxy is great.

I'll just sum it up quick (and this is all my opinion base). If you want to play these 3 classics on the go or on your switch, get them. If you don't and you already have them on a n64, gamecube, and wii - stick with them. Mario 64 looks exactly the same, pretty much the same with sunshine, and galaxy was updated slightly to accommodate for not having a wii remote. That's it.
