  • These Gems Didn't Age Well

    Nintendo really did nothing with these games to improve them in any way, but I still bought it like a sucker. Games are great for a little nostalgia, but they haven't really aged all that well to be honest. Pick this up on sale when you can, retail price is a bit steep for this trilogy of antiquated games.

    Honestly disappointed they ported emulated games and didn’t actually bother to do anything special other than a HUD refresh for SM64. Overall this is maybe only good for diehard fans or collectors but you’ll have a better time replaying the actual game if you bother to put 30 minutes into an emulator yourself.

    I haven't actually played this yet because I don't currently own a switch, but am planning to get one for the holidays. I played these games on their original consoles and if they're anything like they were with the bonus of better visuals these will surely be super fun. Great games to share with my kiddos too.

    I was extremely excited for this game, mainly for Mario 64. I was disappointed that it wasn’t remastered at all. It’s like Nintendo decided to take older games from previous consoles and put it together and charge $60 with no improvement or upgrades.
