Customers consistently note the high quality of the three included games, frequently citing the nostalgic appeal and overall value as significant positives. Many also enjoy the fun factor and portability of the collection. However, some users point to control and camera issues as potential drawbacks, along with a feeling that the games are not significantly enhanced from their original versions.

    3 Classic Games Bundled

3 fantastic games from Mario's first 3 entries into 3D available in a single collection. Each of these games is great in its own right. I've been playing through Super Mario 64 and it does look a little outdated and the camera controls can be frustrating but the gameplay is still great. In addition to that you have Sunshine and Galaxy both considered top tier platformers when they were released. I'd say that still holds up today. These games offer fun dynamic gameplay, tons of stars to challenge you, and new mechanics to master in each game. This is overall a great collection, especially if you've got some nostalgia for these games or have wanted to check them out. You'll have dozens of hours of gameplay across all 3 games, enjoy.

This collection presents Mario's first three 3D adventures with upgraded HD visuals and revamped controls for the Nintendo Switch. While Mario 64 retains it's original 4:3 aspect ratio, both Sunshine and Galaxy are presented in widescreen. Mario 64 and Mario Galaxy have both aged well, with tight controls, great difficulty curve, excellent level design, and a plethora of hidden areas to find. Mario 64 still represents the benchmark that all 3D platform games are held against, and Mario Galaxy still had the same charm and sense of fun it had on the Wii all those years ago. Mario Sunshine, on the other hand, can be a frustrating experience, with some questionable stage layouts and incredibly finicky controls. If there was one game on this collection that needed a from-the-ground-up remastering, it would be this one. Still, there is fun to be had with some fun characters and set pieces. Just be sure to stock up on extra lives. The collection also includes the ability to listen to the soundtracks of all three games. Overall, this is a solid collection and great for Mario fans, or those who are interested in Mario's earlier entries into the third dimension.

Unfortunately, this game was a limited release and is no longer available, but it's a great collection of 3 great Mario games. I do wish Super Mario Galaxy 2 was included as well.

This is a chance to play all of the 3D Mario games that came out for the N64, Gamecube, and WII. Get it, even if you aren't a massive Mario fan.

I'll admit, being an older gamer means I don't have as much nostalgia for this series as others might, but that doesn't keep me from enjoying playing it. You get the three games, all on one cart, so right there this is a great deal. Plus, there were rumors that Nintendo might only let this live in the wild for a short time. Not sure if that's true, but there's another reason to snatch this up. Plays well on the Switch, and there's enough of a challenge to keep you interested. Only reason this isn't a 5-star review is that it just feels...well, sort of dated. I know, it's an older game, so get with it old man. Yeah yeah, but still, maybe just a bit more polish on the update would have pushed me to 5. That said, there's no reason to not get this game if you're a fan.

This game collection was unfortunately rushed in production while its great to have them portable it seems out of all of them mario galaxy was given the most attention and care while the other two were left as is straight rom rips. Im mostly disappointed in the mario sunshine game. Not about the glitches, it had its issues on the original release, but the controls somehow seem tankier now and without pressure controls on fludd its harder to hit enemies that are right in front of you. However ive noticed some sound errors with this port either not playing correctly or just missing. I wish the devs just put a little more time into this collection. Only problem with 64 is the camera controls they dont really click well for me. I do appreciate the updated textures at least. they do look pretty nice.

You are getting three great 3D Mario games in a single package, but Nintendo could have done so much more with it. Starting with Mario 64, which is probably the game with the most disappointing upgrade in the entire package, they could have increased the aspect ratio. Also, the camera is still the same janky camera from the N64 days, so Nintendo not doing anything with that makes me sad. Mario Sunshine is probably the game that looks like it got the biggest upgrade, since it is now in 16:9 and looks great. There was a few minor changes to the game, mostly with how buttons work, since the Switch doesn't have analog shoulder buttons, so it might take a little bit to get used to. Galaxy still looks and plays great, and probably the least changed from its source. One of the most disappointing things, especially since this was supposed to celebrate the 3D Mario games, is the lack of Galaxy 2. Hopefully, Nintendo decides to offer it as DLC or a standalone thing down the line.

You're getting 3 great mario classics in one package. Mario 64 was the first great 3d platform game and it still plays surprisingly well. The camera is still kind of wonky at times, but I still have fun with it just as much as the old days. Mario Sunshine is great too, and the fact they updated it to included gamecube controller support is awesome. My personal favorite is Mario Galaxy thought as it's pretty much a flawless 3d platformer and the even adapted the wii controls to it so it's just as easy to play now. Don't pass up on this as it's not going to be around forever.

I loved all three of these games growing up and I still do. Being able to relive Mario 64 on the switch is amazing! It was a blast from the past. The only problem is the controls and camera feel really dated. Especially in Mario Sunshine. The games are still great to play though!

Somehow I missed out on all 3 of these games despite being a Nintendo fan since the very beginning when I bought my NES at 12 years old with my own money. I guess school, work, and health problems can do that to you. I have had so much fun playing these games, even Sunshine which I don’t understand why some people don’t like it. Galaxy is probably my favorite and now I wish I could play Galaxy 2 cause I heard it’s even better. Even with all the controversy surrounding this collection I think it’s a steal for the price and being limited never bothered me.

First off let me say this is a dream come true package.3 of Mario's best selling games in 1 collection is simply amazing. But there are a few downsides. The 2 biggest ones in my option is removing the BLJ ( Backwards Long Jump) by using the shindou version which was updated only in japan and not having gamecube controller support for sunshine.Removing the BLJ ( Backwards Long Jump) is not that big of a deal but when this one glitch is so important to your games identity in the modern age you think you would keep that in ( esespecially since all these are a glorified room hacks but ill get to that in a minute.) And no gamecube controller support is just lazy no other way to say it.I could understand not having the support if they dint release the controller, but that's exactly what they did.Gamecube controllers and adapters were released back in 2018 two hole years ago. So why couldn't put that extra little effort in to make the package that little more special? They didn't do it because they knew the games were gonna sell regardless and they didn't have to do.And the facts that these are basically the same games since they were released is sad, Not that the games themselves needed changing (maybe besides the camera in 64 and a few sunshine levels but that's besides the point.) But for the price you could get remakes for crash bandicoot or spyro the dragon both on the switch for 20 dollars less AND have better graphics. Kinda shows you which one is a better deal now dosen't it? But regardless did I buy this collection? Yes, Yes I did. Am i going to enjoy it? Most defiantly. Would I recommend this to a friend? If they like 3d platformers and haven't played these games before or has them and wants them on the go then absolutely. I just wish there was more done with these games to make it feel like a truly special package and worthy of being a limited time release instead of just being 3 rooms slapped onto a cartage for 60 bucks and that's it.Like maybe they could've thrown in some old commercials or promo art, maybe have a 3d render of all the boxes that we can twist and turn to our hearts content. Just something extra than the bare minimum. I know they put music in the game but for 1 anyone with access to YouTube could get that for free anyway, and 2 they skimped out on that to.They should've had a feature to skip through each track to just listen to your to your favorite part but no you gotta listen to the whole song just to listen to one part. Come on Nintendo an iPod that came out in 2001 had these features so why can my game in 2020 a whole 2 decades later get the same treatment?

Since this is 3 games I’ll review each separately. Super Mario 64 was a lot of fun, I’ve never played it before but always wanted to. And I think this a great way to experience it. Controls took a little while to get used to but I adjusted and after that was smooth sailing. Super Mario Sunshine was a surprise to me, didn’t think this was going to get rereleased anytime soon but here we are. Very colorful and cleaning up the filth with a water backpack was addicting to do. Story was alright. Super Mario Galaxy is awesome, I played this one so much as a kid and replaying it was nostalgic. Super fun and imaginative worlds to explore each with something different enough to stand out. All that being said, I don’t know if all of these games are worth $60. It would be if they included Super Mario Galaxy 2 and 3D worlds and maybe some of the 3ds games. As is, I do think it’s a bit overpriced.

If you are interested in playing the classic games for the first time, then this is an absolute no-brainer: get the collection and do not look back. I’d you are looking to revisit or enjoy the games again, buy the game. If you enjoyed them and are looking for something more, well, you will still be looking for something more. This is a faithful restoration of the three classic games to make them look great on your modern tv. Sunshine and Galaxy look amazing, even though they are 13+ year old games. SM64 looks good too. If you connected your N64 to your tv, no way in this world is it looking as clean as this game is. My only complaint is that they did not add anything to the games. I was hoping SM64 would be the DS version with the added characters. That’s really it, long review and knocked a star off because no DS version of SM64. The audio tracks at the beginning are great to briefly listen to as well.

I’m a huge Mario fan. The original was my first ever video game, and it’s been my favorite franchise since. The 3D collection offers a somewhat modern way to play the first 3D platformers. Everything is up rezed, and they all look as clean as ever, however the cameras in 64 and Sunshine are as they were decades ago, so it may cause newer players frustration. There isn’t a lot here as far as extra content, just the soundtracks of the games. If you like Mario, or are looking for a reason to play, this is a great collection of some of the most classic games ever.
