Fun family game

It's fun; probably the first truly enjoyable multiplayer Mario experience in the main series. Still, they threw in every idea they could and it still seems kind of redundant.

Yes, it lacks that thematic feel of Sunshine and Galaxy, and it lacks the game-play innovations of 64, Sunshine and Galaxy, but this is 3D platforming at its finest. The controls are dead-on tight, and there are plenty of surprises to keep you interested throughout.
