This game is a follow-up to the 3DS game Super Mario Land. That was a good game, but this is better. The level design is incredible and no two levels feel alike. There's always something fresh to experience as you play. This game is family friend and supports that: everybody shares the same pool of lives, encouraging everybody to cooperate and work together to make it through levels. Players can drop in and out at any time, so if somebody is playing alone others can join in as they please. The game automatically saves after each level, so if you are in a hurry the game never makes you feel like you have to keep playing. This game is going to be a classic many years down the road. It will have a worthy spot in any gamer's collection.

This is present for my 9 years old son and he loved it. He said that graphic is more than awesome but that controls are little hard...if you are beginner and you did not play previous games, like Mario Galaxy...

My kid is addicted to this game. Like any other Mario game, it specializes in being easy to pick up, but challenging to master. The graphics are bright and colorful and the overall game has a charming feel.

The 3D addition to the classic mario brothers makes this a very fun game to play. The levels are very unique and entertaining. Even the music is great! I loved playing this. My only complaint would be the difficulty, or lack thereof... The game was easy to beat, with only the exception of the very final levels. The green stars to find and claim do help however. This would only add to the kid-friendliness of the game!

As parents we were apprehensive about the wii u because my wife always thought it was silly. I always wanted it for Mario kart 8 and the Mario games as well as whatever Zelda game they would eventually offer that was original. We got the Wii U for the family and picked up super Mario 3D world. Our daughters love Mario games as much as we do. It has been a great family game and a great way to spend with our kids in this digital age. There's lots of fun challenges to take on no matter what age you are. The inclusion of the new car power up is a lot of fun once you get used to using it. We are entirely happy overall with the experience we have had with it this far.

This is a great game especially with more players! It has unique levels with different themes (snow, pyramids etc). Mario games are always so much fun!

My son had been asking for this game but I usually don't like to buy anything that is not educational but this game really gets his imagination going and when he's not playing I hear him playing with his Mario toys and acting out what they do in the game so it stimulates his imagination and memory.

This Mario is great, all ages will love this game, typical Mario with the usual great gameplay, great lever layout, really is a good game and really shows what the Wii U is capable of

First off, I have always been a fan of Super Mario. I remember playing the NES version when I was a little kid, and I loved every other version that came out following it. When the first 3D Mario game, Super Mario 64 came out, I was blown away. It had good graphics, a great challenge and definitely made you get your money's worth. Fast-forward to 2013, and we are given Super Mario 3D World for the Wii U. In my opinion, it is the best game for the Wii U, and is the main reason to buy a Wii U (along with Wind Waker HD). If you haven't played this game, I would completely recommend buying it, or at the very least renting it. You won't regret it.

Bought this for my girlfriend for Christmas, and she loves it. Playing single player is great, but when you add multiple people, the game is much more fun. Also being able to play on the tablet controller is cool for when she just doesn't want to get out of bed.

Best Mario game since Super Mario 64, and arguably surpasses it. Fun for all ages, from beginner to expert. Lots of stages, each unique and little repetition between them, providing a new experience in each level played. Between the three green stars and stamp to find, plus capping the flag pole at the end of every stage, there's enough to do in each to make you come back to each stage without the game forcing it upon you. And while it doesn't visually wow you, there are subtle touches to point out detailed graphics, such as scales on Bowser's skin. This game wins it with gameplay. Anyone who owns a Wii U should have it.

Playing any Mario title is almost always fun to play. It's also good to play co-op with family and friends. However, using extra Wii remotes can be a bit awkward, I would suggest a controller with a joystick. ( I don't know if they have those though...)

Awesome Game. Lots of new levels. Kids love playing this game for hours. There are lots of great new vehicles to play on this game.

This game finally brings back the same feel of the glory days of Mario. It is a blast to play and has a ton of secrets and a great balance of difficulty and fun. The cat suit is a fun and cute addition and the co-op multiplayer is lots of fun with friends. Be warned, however, the multiplayer makes some areas easier to complete while other areas a lot more challenging. If you get frustrated by dying several times because someone accidentally getting in your way, you may want to avoid this part, but if not, it is really a lot of fun. Glad to see Mario back in such a fun game, he has really been missed.
