I was hesitant to buy for so long because I figured it would be boring building and sharing levels created. I took a leap and got it anyways and found it to be great! There's a story mode, which provides lots of entertainment for single player mode.

In my own personal opinion, 100% better than Mario Maker 1 for the WiiU. The game is only a week old, the levels are all incredible, and we've only just begun. Story Mode helps you get a feel for the gameplay, and I'm loving the endless mode over the original 100 man from MM1.

Playing through the story mode is a lot of fun, as well as going through levels that other people from around the world have made. Making your own levels are awesome too, but i recommend going into handheld mode for that, as you can use the touchscreen if you do so.

There are literally millions of levels available to play! Lol. You can create courses with the expanded courses designs and download more online! The possibilities are endless! Also, with the inclusion of story mode and a hundred premade levels to play you'll never get bored!

This game has been a ton of fun for both me and my girlfriend who isn't really much of a gamer. The levels are often more puzzle-like in their layouts when compared to your traditional 2D Mario game. Definitely recommend to anyone who grew up on the NES and SNES Mario games.

I'll be honest, when I bought this game, it was just because I know Nintendo puts a lot of effort into anything that says Mario. I am not the kind of person who wants to build levels. I'd much rather just play them. So when I saw that there was many levels already made to be played, I was very happy to see that. I am not very far into it but with the fantastic graphics and familiar gameplay style of Mario, I'm happy I decided to splurge on this game. I look forward to playing more soon.

This is a game but not a game. There is a story mode that helps introduce you to all the features. I never played any other mario maker, but the most fun is definitely creating your own levels and playing other user created ones. Definitely recommended.

With more options than ever, Mario Maker is a great continuation of the series. Amiibo support would have been nice though, along with the ability to play the SMB levels as a multitude of characters as in the Wii version. That said, a worthwhile purchase for Switch owners.

If you’re a fan of super Mario games, I would recommend getting this game. This game is an endless amount of Mario and has 2D and 3D levels. The building aspect of the game has improved from the 1st one. Online multiplayer versus mode is nice competitive mode for this game.

This game is fun but incredibly hard. The story mode is definitely a challenge and it’s fun that you have different challenges in different Mario game versions from the past. You’ll have a journey through memory lane with this game.

This mario has something for everyone. The levels range from simple and fun to expert levels where you need to know exactly where to jump next at every time. Story mode is cute, and building levels offers so many different options that there's always something new to try

Over 100 levels packed in with infinite levels to play online! A very creative outlet for those interested in game design. Making levels is simple but with depth to mix so many items and game mechanics. If you like platformers (especially Mario ones) this game is a MUST.

It's fun to play, challenging. The maker part about it has a big learning curve and can be tedious to make your own maps. The included levels are challenging. One thing I don't like is you can have Luigi finish the level for you, but they don't show you how he does it.

Has a LOT of tools to work with, almost everything I'd want in a 2D Mario creator/editing tool. Story mode is great for inspiration on how certain parts can work with one another to make for some neat challenges. Definitely recommended for platformer fans and creatives.

This game has the best of both worlds unlimited levels to try out that people have made and to make your own and share. Just an all sound good game.

As a dad, I love not only that my son can have fun on a classical platform but the skill and creative side that it pulls out him is priceless! It makes him think and get very creative to build intricate & progressively difficult levels. Great buy for sure...
