Love this game. I thought I would be boring… but it so entertaining. Not only can you make your own worlds. You can play other peoples worlds too.

Purchased for Christmas for my 11 year old grandson, and he loves it! He is always designing to games and mazes, so this is right up his alley!

My family loves this new update of Mario Maker, including the multi player options, Mario 3D world toolsets, and new online tools. An average touchscreen pen works great when building in hand mode.

Mario Maker 2 perfectly capitalizes on the first entry in the series and offers fun, new ways for players to design and experience levels. I really enjoyed it and think any Mario fan will, as well.

The kids LOVE this game! Story mode is their favorite! Working on rebuilding Peaches castle! Some levels can be challenging but they always end up beating the course!

I have to agree with all the opinions and reviews of this game. It's easily a 10/10 and near perfect. If you love Mario and have always dreamed of endless Mario levels to play this game is for you.

Great game that is a ton of fun. My kids like to build new levels but I get more enjoyment from playing the levels that others & Nintendo have created. Lots of fun for young and older generations.

I never played the first Mario Maker, so buying this one was a toss up for me. I enjoying building the levels and multiple design concepts you can puzzle your friends with. This game is a must buy.

Great game to design your own level with your creativity in control the possibilities are endless. Short but sweet story mode with online levels that keep the game fresh every time you to play it.

I bought this for my 11yr old nephew, and he absolutely loved getting this game. He loves that he can make his own levels, and I'm so excited I bought this game over the other ones!

Love the addition of the story mode to keep you engaged and inspired when you get to building, which in itself, is an upgraded experience in SMM2 with many new parts to experiment with.

Some weird story mode and TONS of online fun awaits on this gem. Every detail, every level, and your imagination, are the best features of this game. A must buy for old and new Mario enthusiasts

It's a fun and challenging Mario game. It is nice you are able to build your own levels, as my kids like building their own, and playing levels made from others.

This game is amazing there are so many parts and pieces you can use to build your own courses, as well as a huge selection of Nintendo made courses as well as a huge community of levels as well!

If you liked this game on the Wii U it’s gotten even better. If you didn’t get a chance to play this on the Wii U and you have the Switch you should get this game (especially if you like Mario).

Online is full of clever Mario-based puzzles, and unfairly hard platforming levels. Pretty lacking in terms of intermediate-level platforming levels, as those are difficult for people to make. So if you're just looking for a way to play an endless stream of classic Mario levels, this isn't for you. However, if you want some clever puzzles to solve, or enjoy masochistic platforming, this game is for you! And of course, if you just want to express your creative side, and build levels all day, you can do that too. If you're looking for a good multiplayer experience, this is probably not a good choice. The online versus and cooperative play is basically unplayable. Playing on a good internet connection, it runs at a whopping 1 frame per second some of the time, and there is never a moment without at least some lag. Lag isn't a problem when playing couch co-op or versus, however, the levels designed for multiplayer often don't work well in this mode, due to players being locked to the same screen. This could be resolved if Nintendo added a way for creators to tag their levels, specifying which form of multiplayer it was designed for (e.g., "co-op" or "versus", "online only" or "offline supported"). I don't regret this purchase, and get a lot of enjoyment out of it, but it's not for everyone.
