I really liked the first mario maker but this one is even better. It has a story mode, more tools and more awesome stages made by others.

This game is so fun you can make your own levels or play others who made levels it also has a story mode too.

This game reminds me of my youth when Game Genie was released. Remember that? It was a time of not only helping you complete the game, but also introduced us to the world of “breaking” a game. At that time, we could do silly things like make Mario “moonwalk” or jump super high. You could even switch the sprites on certain enemies to make them change. This game certainly expands upon that concept, except instead of “breaking” the game, you can actually play it. Well done Nintendo.

The first Super Mario Maker 1 for the Wii U was an awesome game. Super Mario Maker 2 for the Switch even better!!!

The new Mario Maker adds dozens of new elements to make the Mario levels of your dreams or everyone else's nightmares! Added a 5th theme (now SMB1, SMB3, SMW, NSMB, SM3DW), doubled the number of backgrounds and dozens of new items, including slopes! Play through 100 pre-made levels from easy breezes to masochistic split-second races, then make your own levels or try out the literally millions already made by other players online! Played: Finished all 100 pre-made levels, tried a few online and sampled the level editor.

A substantial upgrade from the first one, although there are still a few things I wish they'd include. So far, everything is really fun!

Game plays very well controls nice. Love having the retro feel of the older style games in a new format.

It's amazing how the kids enjoy this game, it as much fun for parents watching the kids play.

We have this game to our son for Christmas & it’s his new favorite game! He loves getting to create mario worlds & the play them.

New building tools in version 2 allow for cool level designs. The ability to save other players levels locally is also a nice addition.

My son got this for Easter. He loves this game and can spend hours playing it. There's definitely a lot to do and make.

Mario Maker 2 is a great addition to your switch library. I dont think its as good as the first one, making levels is a bit clunky and you have to get used to it, but the story mode in this one is almost worth the admission price alone AND the course curation is much improved.
