I got this for my 5 year old and 6 year old son. At first, it seemed hard to figure out for me, but my son taught me and it's a fight to get them to put it down. Every now and then I sneak to play it! It really let's the kids be creative. I usually don't like games that aren't educational, but I realized this definitely is!

My son loves this game the most; he was asking for Super Mario Maker since mid or late Oct 2016 now that he got it for Christmas gift and the help i got from my local Best buy to make my son very HAPPY thanks

This is hands down one of the best video/Mario games ever made! Designing your own levels and seeing if your friends can beat them, plus challenging their levels and levels from creators around the world. Plus, this is better than the Wii U version because you can do it on the go. I would recommend this game to any Mario fan.

Great game easy to figure out but hard to master. Endless possibilities for kids or adults and hours of fun.

It's fun. It's creative. It lets you use your own imagination to create your own levels.

The graphics are good on this game and the bright colors keep you interested and alert. it's fun to play against my niece and nephew.

Great game for building your own mario levels and can be played on the go. Main issue is that you can't upload your levels online. They can only be shared through streetpass which is a major bummer compared to the WiiU version. This version however comes with 100 levels made by Nintendo themselves which is a nice bonus.

Got this 3DS game for my daughter as a Christmas gift. She likes to create courses for us to play. It has a user-friendly interface, so creation/editing is easy. We're having lots of fun with this game. You can even go online and acquire more boards to play or share your own.

This is such a long overdue type game. The ability to make fun and exciting levels for Super Mario Bros. makes for endless hours of enjoyment. I love it when my kids make levels and want me to play them. The joy they get when I can't figure out their puzzle is priceless!

Pretty cool creative game. I replaced my 3DS to a 2DS and picked this up with it as i wanted to play it but don’t own a Wii U for that version. I’m sure any kid with a creative side would love this game. Especially if they’re into the Sims and other games like that.

Fun but requires a lot of practice and patience. If you have played and or own the Wii U version you will be very disappointed. The lack of online sharing is a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT! Overall a fun game getting to create your own Mario levels but after spending hours of learning and creating what you and your friends feel is a masterpiece really sucks that you can't share it with the world like the Wii U version. Although the level design is only limited by your imagination. I've made some awesome levels including Metroid style levels as well as Castlevania style. Very fun after getting the hang, just a couple things that hold it back from being great.

Even if you don't feel particularly creative, there's a lot of fun to be had with Mario Maker. You can play a Greatest Hits of past Mario Game levels, as well as brand new levels made by other Mario Maker players on both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. A MUST HAVE for any Mario fan.

I got this for my son as he is a huge Minecraft fan. This is similar to Minecraft in the sense that he can build things, except that it works with 3DS. So far this has been a huge hit with him.

We currently have this for the WIIU. I purchased this for my grandson, who lives out of town, and always wants to take ours with him. I think he will be pleased with this game.

I bought this game for my 7-year-old daughter for Christmas and she loves it. She will design levels with obstacles and enemies at every jump and turn, and then challenge me to complete them. Gameplay is smooth and fun. Designing levels could not be easier. I have not explored the collaborative design options or downloaded levels made by others, but the concept is promising. I definitely would recommend this game to any Super Mario fan.

This is a great game to play with friends and family of all ages. played it with my kids and a bunch of adults... everyone had a blast. keeps you entertained for hours.

I bought this game for my son and I to play. So far it's been an amazing experience creating our own levels. Only downside is the save file seems to be locked to one 3ds

Finally 2d Mario, but with all new levels. In fact there is no end to the new levels you will see because as the name says you can make your own levels. And if you are connected to wifi you can play other peoples levels they made. Some people made them so ridiculously hard tat it becomes addictive trying to beat it. Basically Everytime you pick up the game you have the potential to see new levels. Personally I find that awesome.

This is a great Mario game, I bought this for my kids, but I'll be honest I play it myself ;-) It is a great game and a sure entertainer game for hours. enjoy it!
