This game has one huge flaw, you can't upload stages to the internet. However, it also has a full set of Nintendo Created Mario stages for you to play. These stages are more fully fleshed out than the ones in the WIi U version. Definitely worth the price of admission.

Like most reviewers have said, the biggest downside of this game is the inability to easily share and download user created courses. That said, the built in 'challenge' courses are fun and innovative.

Bought this for the nephew. He freaked out when he opened it. He loved it. Checked it out for a bit. You can download and play community made levels. So there's pretty much endless levels to play.

If you've played the Wii U version, you should know what is coming. A very fun game, if you have the patience to craft your own levels. Other users' levels can be had from the Internet. I hate friend codes and the like. Menus and such are a little cramped on the handheld.

I bought this for my sons birthday and he absolutely loves it. Make sure you have a mini SD card installed in your console for you to be able to run this game.

This game really should exist. You can't upload your own created levels, and you can't search specific levels to play. The one thing that this game has on the Wii U version is there are 100 premade levels to play through, and with two challenges per level, there's a lot to play through. As a Mario Maker game, it fails, but since it's a Select title which makes it cheaper, it's not a bad value to get it just for the levels. But I'd still rather have a Wii U original, or better yet, wait for the Switch sequel.

If you can't afford a Wii U with the original Mario Maker, then this is a good alternative. If you have the original version and don't really care about a downgraded version on-the-go, then go for it.

My daughter loves building, creating, and designing....very imaginative. This is the perfect Mario game for kids (and adults) with similar interests and talents.

Bought for my 8 year old and he loves it. Especially the way he can design his own course to them complete. This game allows for a lot of creative thinking. Love it!

This game is great with preloaded levels and a robust level creator. Yes, this game is on the Wii (superior version) and will no doubt be on the Nintendo Switch. What great creativity went into making a game where you make your own game!

My kids asked for this to create their own Mario games. It appears to be complex for dad but the kids are enjoying it. Only problem with sharing on multiple devices are that you need a cartridge for each DS game console. Cha ching

This game's no different than the WiiU port. Don't expect anything different. Good game. Online shop is where it's at! Get fan-made levels or professional ones. Plenty of replay value. Really fun. Good for kids also.

My son loves playing this game, and he's entertained by it too! I love the fact that he has control over how easy or hard the levels can be!

The same great Mario game play that Nintendo always delivers. It's great to have another mario game on the go. The only downside is the lack of sharing levels and network features that makes the Wii U version amazing.

My son(7) loves this game. The levels are a mixture from many different Mario games. The level maker is pretty cool a wide variety of options.

Very pleased with the purchase. This was a gift for my eight year old for meeting her reading challenge over the summer. She loves it!!!

Mario is one of the most beloved characters in gaming and this lets you play in his world. The only downside, there is no 3D on a 3DS game. I would recommend this game for Mario fans...and there are millions.
