I have twin boy grandchildren who are 8 years old. They have been hooked with this game since I bought it for them. They had been wanting this game for a long time. They live in Florida and they knew that someday "grandma" would fulfill their wishes. I took advantage of them visiting me so I took them to Best Buy and got them their game. They were happily surprised.

I liked the idea of Super Mario Maker when I first heard about it. And now that I've had a chance to get my hands on it, I love it. It's more fun than I expected to get to create my own Super Mario levels in the 4 different styles. But when I'm not feeling creative, I can try out levels other people have made. And the art book that came with it is terrific as well.

This game is awesome. You can create your own levels or play other people's creations. People come up with great levels. Some aren't too good but who cares. Just skip it if you don't like it. This is one of the best games on the Wii U. Check out my first level: F5E6-0000-004B-9EAF There are loads of secrets and different ways to complete the level. Good luck!

I found that it was easy to use, and overall fun in general. It's a unique game that pleases all kinds of gamers, going back to even the original Mario bros!

This game has been hyped up a lot and it lives up to its expectations. There is so much you can do and the progression doesn't throw everything at you at once. I was overwhelmed with just a small tool palette but it gets better once you work through it. If I didn't have a Wii u prior to this title then I would buy one just to play this because it is that good.

I never knew how satisfying it would be to not only make your own mario levels, but also play those of the community. With the option to create your own level with respect to both old and new mario sprites/graphics, you have yourselves one of the finest mario games created, with the community being at the forefront with fantastic user made levels.

I have a 4 yr old who absolutely loves this games. Unfortunately he is still a little too young to play by himself but loves the idea of drawing worlds with the standard Mario icons. For myself, I absolutely love it and is a strong reason to have the Wii U in my house. The design is fun and makes you feel like a game developer without being one.

Having access to a ton of the assets from 4 different Mario games, and being able to manipulate them in new, interesting ways was a great idea. Nintendo has been knocking it out of the park in the last few years, and this one is no exception. The built-in mechanics for playing other people's levels are a really fun way to experience new content.

This an awesome game and very kid friendly, easy to maneuver

Great game for anyone that loves the old side scrolling Mario games from the NES and SNES era. The level creation is very accessible and can get addicting, But, even if you don't want to create levels, there's an almost endless stream of levels that you can try and play online. Level quality varies, but there are some great levels out there.

Great game Nintendo! This is great game for someone creative, I must say, you have to be a little patient when you're making a level. You have to put a little time and love into a level to make it post worthy. They made level design super easy for anyone as well. Lastly, the amiibo support is a lot of fun to experiment with for themed levels.

Playing custom levels from all over the world in 4 different Mario styles is amazing. Creating your own levels is satisfying and there are a lot of tools to use. It's Nintendo's way of giving their own tools to their fans and letting them make their own Mario experiences.

Super Mario Maker is probably one of the most fun games ever. Not only is it amazingly fun to create new courses, but playing the things that other people have come up with accounts for hours upon hours of possibilities. My kids cannot stop playing the game - they love building new courses and uploading them for other people to see and play.

I always play this game when I need to unwind and relax at the end of the day. By playing, I mean creating. The games creation tools are really accessible that even my little 10 year old brother is able to make the levels he wants. It takes time to make a great level but you feel great in the end when it all blends together. I love it.

Been waiting for the day I could make my own Mario levels and it has finally come!!! This is so awesome and so easy to understand. Plus now you have a limitless amount of levels to play with the ones others create. If you like platformers, Mario, and especially if you've ever played and enjoyed LBP on ps3, you will enjoy Mario Maker!

With Super Mario Maker, the possibilities are endless in terms of creation. Playing other people's levels can get tiring, so I recommend you have some kind of thirst or drive to make your own if you're thinking about picking this up. Bringing your ideas to life is an easy task to accomplish and there's plenty of tools to work with!

Wonderful game that is easy to play and very creative.

If you ever wanted to make your own levels of SMB, SMB3 (NES) SMW (SNES), NSMB (WII) then grab this. Even if you don't want to make your own you can play thousands of created ones. I am having a blast with it. Also, I bought a bigger stylus since you use it alot and gripping those skinny ones starts making my fingers sore.
