Mario Maker is a great time killer. For those with an interest in Game Design, this can get your foot in the door. The UI is easy to navigate and sometimes you can lose yourself in your level designs.The WiiU Tablet controller is perfect to use with this game, and it's great for all ages. The only frustration issue I would look out for is that there is a massive amount of extremely difficult levels that other users have submitted. Be mindful of what you're getting into. I recommend this game to everyone who owns a WiiU.

An endless amount of levels and an endless amount of fun. One of the best uses of the gamepad and possibly the finest Wii U game to date.

The Mario franchise, as a whole, had gotten stale with me. I loved 3D World, but found the other WiiU titles to be rather dull. In fact, I haven't even beat them. Mario Maker is a unique take. With thousands of user made levels out there, there's something for everyone. Whether you're looking for a challenge, a quick and easy romp by holding down the right stick, or just a traditional level, there's something for everyone. I'd highly recommend it, and it easily ranks in the top five of my games on the console as a whole.

Just a fantastic game. Creating levels is a breeze and fun. Wife has even made a few good ones. Unlimited Mario levels to play forever!

I was skeptical of this game when it was first announced. I didn't think it would offer enough gameplay to warrant the price tag. However I was impressed with how much it evolved since then. On release it was a very robust game that I was excited to buy. I have been playing others' courses more than building my own (there are some very creative courses out there), but I'm looking forward to building some stages once I have the full toolbox unlocked. I do wish you had access to the full toolbox from the outset though.

Classic gameplay with the ability to use your creativity to create your own stages, fun to download other peoples creations as well.

With over 3 million levels created by users all over the world, this can be a never ending game for you. Uploading your created levels is fat ans easy. I do wish good levels didn't get lost in all of the bad ones and hopefully an update from Nintendo will fix this issue. Playing the 100 Mario Challenge on expert is extremely difficult and will really test your skills. I think anyone with a creative bone in their body will love making their own levels and all others can just enjoy playing an endless supply of them.

Love this game. Kids can make up their own games and we also get to play with family members that made up their own lands. Amazing.

There is so much to do in this. Fun game to play and create courses. There is so much items to use while creating a course. I love the concept of switching between Super Mario Bros, Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and New Super Mario Bros style with the same course. There are some great courses posted online from other users. I also love all the extras, like the Fly Swatter mini game from Mario Paint and all the costumes from using Amiibos. Recommended for any Nintendo or Mario Bros fan.

fun inventive but I haven't played enough of it, I like to idea to make your own mario levels but people are making rediculous levels that people just can't beat and the limited stuff that you can do but overall it is fun for awhile

This game is amazing! You get to make your own Super Mario levels! It's super fun playing other's levels too! Fun fun fun!

Although I don't feel creative enough to create my own Mario levels, I decided to buy this game in order to play the best levels from amateur creators everywhere. The editor makes many classic Mario components available for use (though I wish Chargin' Chuck had made an appearance, along with the ability to terraform with sloped ground). It's very flexible and easy to use, so I can appreciate that much -- even though any levels I make aren't all that great. (Not the game's fault, obviously.) Mostly I enjoy getting online and finding some super-amazing levels -- either created in the familiar Mario style, or in styles that perhaps Nintendo itself had never thought of. I've had a lot of fun with that aspect of the game so far, and I'm sure it will continue to be fun for a long time to come.

Great game, great tools, with just a few minor nitpicks like a lack ramps/inclines and it would be better with easier sharing and exploring of uploaded levels (needs a tag system like Little Big Planet) I've had fun with it all day. It seems like it will last for a long time if you like the tight platforming controls of Mario. The craziness and/or laziness of uploaded levels will always guarantee fresh content with the fairly robust creation system, albeit with inconsistent quality.

My 11 year old loves this game. He is into Minecraft and Legos and I took a chance on this hoping that he would like it. He loves building his own worlds and levels. As he becomes more proficient with the game he is able to make the levels harder and harder. He can even make simple levels for his little brother to play. He really likes the feature that will turn the level into an "old school" Nintendo version. This is a great game for problem solving skills and creative thinking.

This game really gets you thinking. The idea making a game is amazing and the other fact people are playing it is great!

So my 8-year old son had been asking for this ever since he first heard about it. I was a little put off by the high price and was hoping I could delay getting it until I could find a used copy. But, it was Christmas, so I bought it. He loves it. It has all the Mario games from back in the NES days plus the modern ones. It even has the handheld versions. And he can create his own boards then hands the controller to me to solve them. It's great fun and I highly recommend the game!

Mario Maker does a great job with giving players the ability to not only create their own zany levels, but to play the creations of others. The feature I enjoy the most would be the 100-Mario Challenge where you're given 100 lives to beat a course with 8-16 levels in a specific difficulty (Easy, Normal, Hard). All of the courses come from creators all over the world. And don't worry about impossible levels. Creators must be able to beat their level themselves to have it published.

Game is very fun and replay value is high since all the stages are custom it's just unusual to play a game that doesn't have any set world for Mario and also no ending or storyline but overall nice fun very cool to custom stage
