This game has become my favorite on the Switch. So much fun to just run around and explore, and the universe really comes to life in its own way with every "land" Mario goes to. The "Cappy" mechanic isn't my favorite, but much of the time I do enjoy taking over the other living creatures in the world. Sometimes it just feels a bit forced, but it doesn't completely kill the magic of playing around in the world and getting all those moons, which are sometimes hiding in the most interesting places. Highly recommended and along with Breath of the Wild should be the two first games anyone buys on the Switch.

Another solid entry in the Mario series. This game has lots to offer for those who are looking for fun and challenge. The main story isn't hard to complete but 100% the game will take some skill. There are some gimmicky motion controls that don't ruin the game but can be frustrating. I wish there was a way to remap some functions to buttons but until then there is content that is harder to access then others.

The graphics for the Switch are great. This came is fun to even watch another person play. Throwing the hat and taking over control of enemies is a great concept as well.

Got the game for my son after playing together on the in store game. Good graphics. My son loves Mario's flying hat that knocks out the bad guy!

Great game. This one is for the record books. It's very fun. Gameplay is very good. When you think your done, you really are not done. Highly recommend. Great gift as well.

Family Mario game for Switch one. Kids loved it as well as grown ups.

This game ties in all the best Mario games in the best way possible. It's seamless, fun, and there is so much to do that you can play over and over and not get sick of it.

I must say this game lived up to my expectations. Great graphics beautiful open world. I bought a Nintendo switch just to play this game months before the game came out.

Very cool game overall. Amazing graphics, great story, lots of things to do, a huge adventure. The reason why I am giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because the game is very easy. Too easy in my opinion. Would recommend this game to most unless you are looking for something challenging.

Mario takes a different kind of journey in an open world environment. A challenging twist on the Mario genre that celebrates it's history whole taking it to the future.

This game is so much fun as an open world mario game. It has some built in nostalgia for fans of the classic mario games. This game lives up to the hype for sure. Get it!

Hands down the best Mario game since the Nintendo 64. From amazing graphics, catchy music and endless exploration, this game might just be better than Breath of the Wild.

Excellent game. Has kept my son (and myself) entertained for hours. Even after having "beat" the game, there is still more to do! This is by far my son's favorite game.

My family and I play this together all the time! We love the game. It’s so much fun! Brings me back to my own childhood and my kids enjoy playing with us.

Completing the main game story wasn’t really that hard, and the game play was very interesting to follow. Graphics were excellent and well-designed (I even took various screenshots of Mario at different scenic places). However, completing the whole game, although addicting, is quite frustrating as various challenges were pretty hard to finish. The camera feature is also sometimes hard to control alongside Mario’s movement which makes it even more challenging. Overall, it’s a very fun, challenging, and addictive game.

Great game - looks and runs great on switch. As with most 3D Mario's its hard to perform platforming but I'm hoping over time I'll adapt. For now though its a fun time!

Fans of Super Mario 64 and Sunshine will appreciate this return to the exploration template. Bosses are a tad easy, but this will keep you busy for a long time to come!

Great for all ages. I play with my 5 year old on the assist mode (yeah, we aren't very good) and it's not too hard (Yet?). Lots to explore and this is our new favorite.

We got this for my 6 year old due to the new Switch we also got. It’s fun and the graphics are good. Sometimes she needs some advice on how to play but she enjoys it.

There's a reason this is considered one of the best games on switch. I'm not much of platformer person, but my girlfriend really wanted some variety in our switch collection. And this doesn't disappoint. Lots of little nods towards the past, but so new across the board, I think you'll struggle to find anyone not liking this game. Highly recommend.
