This is a must have game for the switch. The game play and controls are great and they brought Mario into the 21st century. There is a solid 15-20 hours of game play if you stick to the story, but so much more after you beat the game and additional content to unlock.

Mario Odyssey is almost everything you could ask for in a 3D Mario game, offering many different open world styled levels to explore, lots of items to collect, several interesting game mechanics that make traversing the levels interesting, and in general a very fresh feel.

So there's no beating around the bush with this game - it's the best Mario we've had since Mario 64 and really ever. If you have a Switch, you owe it to yourself to get this game. And if you don't have a Switch, this is the reason to get one. I would, however, rather give this game a 4.5 instead of a 5. This is due only to the fact that the control scheme of using a detached joycon in each hand is basically forced on you due to motion controls. While you can try to play in other configurations, some actions simply cannot be performed without this controller configuration. And this is really only a negative due to the Switch's being portable being a big selling point in it. Playing in handheld mode with the joycons attached to the sides just doesn't give you the functionality you need to really play the game. Other than that, though, this game is an absolute gem and a return to form that we haven't had since Mario Sunshine.

Im not a gamer by any means. I play some on my phone but I’ve never owned a gaming system. This is perfect for someone that’s not a game to bring with but i Can also see some advanced people getting into it. There’s so much fun things to do on it and graphics are amazing

This is game flawless. Gameplay and movement is fluid and flawless. It's what you expect from an open world Mario game and more. What's better is there is so much more to do after the credits roll. There are over 900 moons to collect! It's the perfect game for the switch

Do you like Mario64?Dont have a clue how good Mario64 was?Well this game is the new Mario 64 equivalent is one of the greatest Mario game.Pure fun very entertaining and one of the best experience you will get on the switch.A must buy.

My son plays this game constantly. I love how he gets to enjoy Mario just like I did when i was his age.

One of the best puzzle adventures games I have played.. It is currently the second game I have played on the switch. It looks amazing graphically and fun for all groups of people. 2 player is suprisingly satisfactory as Mario Galaxy on the Wii always felt lacking in that.

I absolutely love this game in fact i beat it in 2 days and i am still working on beating 100 percent of it

this game feels like an actual sequel to super Mario 64 it is awesome :) the gameplay is really good, and cappy is awesome, although I wish there was still a punch/kick maneuver like in 64 but hey the future is about moving on right, if u have a switch u must get this game

I’ve rarely played Mario games growing up as a kid, but I went ahead and gave this one a chance. I totally enjoyed it! Prob one of the best Mario games I’ve seen and you’ll definitely won’t regret purchasing it.

Addicted from the start of the game. I feel happy like when I first played Mario 64. Amazing graphics and changing into different animals is so fun ! Went to midnight release in California(9pm) and it was professionally pleasing how Best Buy employees handled business.

I wanted a new super mario game, other than the regulars one. So far im satisfied with the new mechanics and style of this game

If you love Mario, you won't be disappointed. There will be frustrating moments in parts of the game, but never to the point that you will call it quits. Mario has another partner in crime that will keep you rooting for the duo from beginning to end. Enjoy your purchase!!

This is an amazing game and probably the best out of the Mario series so far. The game has plenty to do outside of the main story with tons of different worlds to explore. Even when you beat the main story there are tons of things to do for more fun.

Mario is a flagship game at this point and I’m glad Nintendo didn’t wait too long to put this out for the switch. If you like Mario galaxy or sunshine, this game is definitely for you, but imagine even more expanded worlds. Classic entry into the Mario canon.

Love the game; i spend some time with the kids playing mario oddesy, graphic are good and always keeps bringing new challenges during the game

Although overrated it's still one of the best Mario games I have ever played and I have played them all. Some of the level choices aren't that great and it's quite short and easy compared to other Mario games like Sunshine but even so the costumes and fun are still strong
