This game actually took Mario in a great direction and changed up the formula a lot. I'm still searching for moons and I already beat the main story. There's also little tricks along the way to help out with the platforming elements. Don't sleep on this one.

Looks great on switch 2. I would definitely play again on switch 2.

This game is very entertaining and fun to play. The graphics, music, and gameplay are stunning. I like how they implement the classic Mario bros design in some levels. Respect to Nintendo, this game is a masterpiece.

I'm writing this review after passing the game... it's amazing! I am now spending all my free time trying to complete the game as much as I can! I can't put it down! It's my favorite game, a must have on the switch, and is only a minuscule ahead on breathe of the wild!

This is a fantastic game all around, with responsive controls, clever world design, and delightful music. I’ve played it for about 20 hours now, almost exclusively in handheld mode, but there is no trouble or slowdown when switching between modes. Great MARIO on the go!

Ecstatic would be an understatement. This might very well be my favorite game of the franchise. It keeps unfolding with secret areas to explore with more moons to collect. Replay value is high for those that like to revisit worlds to find everything. Super happy camper.

This is such a great game! The creators paid so much attention to the small details. The overall themes and islands are fun and amazing. This game was my first purchase after buying my switch and well worth it!!!

I haven’t played a Mario title through for a couple of decades — this title does not disappoint. The controls were a little foreign for me to adjust to initially - I had been playing Zelda and Doom on the switch mostly — but this game is a good way to spend some hours once I got adjusted. The puzzles are fresh and the characters and storyline interesting. I like the genre of Zelda more than Mario — and so I’m giving it 4/5 stars. Watch some trailers and some YouTube videos if you’re unsure — but if you’re on the fence about getting it like I was, you’ll probably enjoy playing it..

I bought this game for my children and I to play last Christmas and we beat it over Christmas break. We still play this game all the time, it is so much fun. So much content, and so much to do. Well worth the money and the best mario game in a long time.

Mario's adventure is very fun, with tight controls and platforming to help you explore all the world you come to. My only gripes come from how many of the collectibles after you finish the game seem put there just for filling out the rest of the game.

I actually loved the games on my Wii U, but the ones that required use of the game pad were frustrating. This Mario game is probably my favorite Mario game ever! if you have a switch, pick it up!! If you're thinking about getting a switch, this is a good reason to buy!

I haven’t had this much fun playing a Mario game since Super Mario Sunshine! A very fun and fresh new concept by Nintendo. I especially love the portions of the game where it feels like you’re playing an NES Mario game. A game for all ages. Very great work by Nintendo!

Want to feel like you over at your friends house playing N64 again? Perfect. The game is easy going but also challenging enough to not get bored. The hat throw is a lot of fun and almost limitless power ( threw it on a T. rex!) a lot of fun for adults and kids alike.

A great return to form the likes we haven't seen since Mario Galaxy 2 in 2010. I've enjoyed a lot of the multiplayer focus of the Mario games from the last 7 years, but this is what it's all about. I'm having so much fun and can't wait to see what other secrets I find.

This is the best 3D Mario of all time, it gives you more of a reason to explore than any prior game. It’s great to see that you no longer need to exit the levels upon collecting the main reward as well, it keeps you playing and having fun. Game of the year 2017 for me.

Pros: Great Mario gameplay. So much to do. Cons: New characters not as interesting as the classic characters. Luigi is MIA. Others are MIA or have minor roles.
