I had a big expectancy for this one. After playing Zelda Breath of the Wild, I was hoping for a big revolution with Mario formula. Mario Odissey wasn't this revolution. It was Nintendo going back to the platformers of the 90s (Banjo KAzooie or Mario 64) with a big bang. And they did a spetacular job. Graphics, music, gameplay. Actually, this is the best controlling Mario ever. It's a bliss to control Mario. My big grip is that Mario Galaxy had a better story and pace. The pace in this game is broken in my opinion. Some time you are going like crazy, than you stop everything to do another map which pace is much slower. And you don't get nothing to prepare yourself for this change. A simple letter from Peach telling something would do wonders. Anyway, I recommend it. It's pretty good, but not amazing 10. Amazing 9.5 is more real.

This was such a cool, different take on the Super Mario franchise! I love the fact that it’s open-world, and the graphics are great! I would definitely recommend this game to any Mario fan!

Great for any fan of the Mario franchise. Best game available for Nintendo Switch with the obvious exception of Breath of the Wild. While the game dynamics were not as revolutionary as Galaxy, the game delivers rewarding gameplay and hours of fun.

This game plays like a mix of Galaxy, 64 and Sunshine. It is very engaging and fun and encourages “open world” exploration if you so desire, or you can just stay on track and do the minimum to advance to still keep the kids engaged and having fun.

Odyssey is one of the best games I’ve played this year. The gameplay isn’t too difficult to get used to. The whole thing is just beautiful to look at. Nintendo made a love letter to the Mario games and I’m glad that we all get to experience it.

This is a true Triple A title. Be sure to look for it at a discounted price. Thankfully, it has not aged and is fun nearly four years after its initial release — truly a mark of great game.

Super Mario Odyssey is another outstanding installment from Nintendo in the Mario Universe. The gameplay is fluid and ever changing with the many different areas you go to. The game is loads of fun and has much to do even for the most hardcore.

so this game is as amazing as everyone says it is...but bear in mind that this is also a nostalgia bomb for those who grew up with Mario64 and up to Galaxy series! i just cant stop smiling while playing this game...how does Nintendo do this?!

Another instant classic for the Nintendo switch. One of the best Mario games of all time. The open world map and the gameplay are awesome. The graphics are great. All around excellent.

After a long stretch of increasingly generic and conservative Mario titles, Odyssey feels like a breath of fresh air, much like Breath of the Wild. It doesn't reinvent the series like BotW, but rather refines what made the 3D Marios great. If there is one criticism to be leveled against it, it's that at times the game feels patronizing. Moons are given for doing the most basic of tasks at times, and the difficulty is extremely low, to the point that this is almost a "baby's first" Mario, at least until much later in the game. Otherwise it is fantastic and an absolute joy to play. Also, a note for parents: the E10+ rating is ridiculous. There is nothing objectionable in this game compared to previous entries in the series, and I would suggest you look up the ESRB's exact reasons for the rating to see just how unreasonable it is.

Super fun! I have enjoyed this alot! Get a little bit of nostalgia while playing. Really reminds me of Mario 64. I loved that game and this one as well! Controls can get a little crazy, but overall a staple to the series and the switch.

I came to this game with lower expectations, i wasn't a huge fan of the previous 3D Mario game. My wife really wanted this one so I got it in order to play with her (which really means, she'll watch as I play the game). I was very happily surprised as to how the game turned out. I was pretty immersed in gameplay and the level design was pretty perfect for my style of gaming. There were some easy challenges, mid level ones, as well as more difficult ones for those seeking more challenging gameplay. There are a plethora of moons to find in the game, and pretty unique kingdoms to explore. The new hat mechanics are a welcome addition to gameplay as well as it freshens up a well beloved franchise which has seen many iterations over time. We had tons of fun with Super Mario Odyssey, and there is still a lot left to do in post game.

After Mario 64 and Mario Sunshine, I've been waiting years to play an open world Mario game. Mario Odyssey ticks every box. Excellent and challenging gameplay, polish in every aspect, and most important - fun. I've been enjoying every moment!

My Love for Super Mario Brothers has returned after playing Odyssey. This is an amazing open world game, and it's almost never ending due to the amount of moons you are able to find. if you own a Nintendo switch, this is a must have game!!

It was a long wait for this but it was definitely worth it. This game is greatness in a red cap! Every nook and cranny has some collectible to earn or a surprise to explore, and it blends the nostalgia with the new in just the right amounts.

I bought this game with not many expectations and it’s proven to be incredibly playable. I love the hunt for new things and areas to explore and this game has that over and over again. It’s got great graphics and doesn’t get annoying.

I love the end of old Mario games and new! It’s also super fun to play with my boyfriend! It’s easy enough for kids but if you do all of the things it’s relatively challenging. Graphics look nice and super entertaining!
