I have been playing this with my kids and we have been having fun both on 1 player and 2 player modes

Game kind of plays like a giant scavenger hunt, so it's just for fun quick exploring. Wonderful graphics, very colorful. Game play is not all that in depth but it is great Mario fun. If you liked Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy with a hint of Mario 3d World, then you'll like this game.

I’d spent the last 15 hours with a giant grin on my face, and somehow the climax put the perfect surprising and delightful exclamation point on the plumber’s latest adventure. This is another brilliant redefinition of the very platforming genre he helped popularize 30 years ago. And best of all, even with the story complete, Odyssey has so much more fun to offer.

Best Looking Mario game on switch, the detail and play of this game make it worth every penny it’s fun yet not to complex but also not at all boring. Story is pretty good and similar to the Mario movie. Recommend!

I've been playing Mario since I can remember. This is, in my opinion, the best open world Mario game out there hands down. The game play and controls is so tight and rewarding once you master it. The worlds are mixed with things from the past and some welcoming new things. I beat the game in a few sittings and am going back through the worlds again to try and get all the moons. A must play if you're a fan of Mario or platforming at all.

My son played this game in demo mode in the best buy store. This is why he fell in love with the switch. The game in full version in better than the demo and has a two player more where both players control the one character that is VERY unique.. my son at 7 loves this game on the switch and even more in hdmi on the big screen.. graphics are terrific and game play is even better!!!

Super fun platforming as usual. Has an open world feeling but still structured and progress is clear.

Such an awesome game! Full of funny cut scenes and tons of places to explore. Has all the classic Mario-esque things and even more. All the stages are simple beautiful, especially New Donk City. If you are looking for a game that the whole family can enjoy, look no further.

Great graphics and reminds me a lot of Mario from N64. One of my favorites of all time!

Fun open world game. Kept me and my family busy for hours . Assist mode was a plus for my 4 year old

This was a great choice for the kids they really like it and are playing together without fighting.

A really great game for the whole family can enjoy. If you are on the fence about purchasing it, just buy it. I was hesitant at first about buying it because I wasn’t sure my younger kids were old enough to learn how to play. I was very wrong and they picked up on it rather quickly. Just do yourself a favor and buy it.

This game is fantastic. TOns of gameplay, tons of things to do, and super fun and well though tout.

At first glance this game looks like any other 3D Mario game. You can ground pound, triple jump, long jump, etc. The fun actually comes from the new mechanic introduced to this game. Thanks to your new buddy Cappy, Mario is able to actually "borrow" the bodies of the baddies, as well as other things in the environment (cactus, rock, pine tree, etc.). So, what's so interesting about taking control of an enemy's body? Well that's simple, you get to actually use whatever abilities they have! You see that bullet bill? How about flying around and crashing into blocks to reach new areas? Or how about those goomba over there! Try making a goomba tower to get that hard to reach power moon* (*which have replaced stars from Mario 64). The list goes on but I want people to be able to try things out for themselves and be surprised. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone! I love this game as an adult, I can only imagine the reaction I would have if I was a child playing the game. If you were on the fence about buying this game, do yourself a favor and just buy it. You won't regret it. P.S. The story is, once again, bowser kidnaps peach... No award in storytelling or originality, but you won't even care.

Really a fun game. The amount of time spent exploring and finding the moons is well worth it. Really like the game mechanics and the way it plays. The only complaint is the camera angels at times and how it works in few places. Overall a really good game with a really fun gameplay.

Great game. I loved playing it with my 5 year old. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer!

I haven't been consumed by a Mario game in a long time. This game is pure magic. It's a bit quirky, and the mechanics (at first) can seem daunting, but it is just so much fun. I never thought purchasing clothes for Mario (with in game currency) would be so much fun. And changing into a TRex is a definite high point. If you have a Switch, buy this game, if you don't have a Switch, buy a Switch and then buy this game, it's that good.
