This game is probably the Switch's first must-own game, there is content here not just for avid Nintendo fans but also, people of all ages, certain Power Moons are much easier to get than others, and some extremely difficult so while certain parts of the game are a cake walk for those with more experience, there are parts that are far more difficult for those looking for a challenge. without spoiling too much about the game, the gameplay is simply fantastic, easy to use controls, fun story and probably one of the most innovative features ever added to a Mario Game, Cap-turing!

This game has it all - gorgeous graphics, great music, tight controls and, most importantly - fun! There have been some reviews saying that the game is too easy. That's only if you're going for the bare minimum to beat the game. The harder to locate moons are where the real challenge lies. And while you only need a couple hundred to finish the game, there are close to 1,000 of them in the game! This game is fun for everyone but the most jaded gamer. Kids, adults, casual and hardcore gamers will all find something to love about this game. Stop reading! Buy this now!

Super Mario Odyssey is absolutely amazing! This video game works great on the Nintendo Switch and is one of the most fun adventures I’ve ever played. The graphics are colorful, sharp, and beautiful in 4K on the Switch dock. The gameplay is smooth, creative, and easy to pick up for all ages. Super Mario Odyssey is easy to install, quick to load, and keeps you entertained for hours. The levels are fun, the controls are responsive, and the whole experience feels premium. Hard work clearly went into this game—it shows in every detail. Best Buy service was fast, with quick delivery and excellent support. I would definitely buy Super Mario Odyssey again and highly recommend it to anyone who wants an amazing Nintendo Switch game that’s easy to play, works flawlessly, and is pure fun from start to finish.

Stunning Visuals, Amazing Performance and an overall blast! This is Mario in its prime. The story is captivating and has a nostalgic and modern feel at the same time. The new mechanics give the Mario franchise a breath of fresh air, hours of fun for players of any age!

It is an amazing game, looks great on Switch2 and it really fun to play with the family

To avoid painstakingly writing a fully in-depth review of the game multiple years after its release, suffice to say if you like Mario, have a Switch, and haven't played this game? You really should start asking yourself why not. It is aesthetically and musically fantastic, controls amazingly, has a clear difficulty curve that's great for newbies and veterans alike, and will more than likely put a smile on your or your loved one's face.

While it may sound backhanded to say that this is the best Mario game since Galaxy, it's not intended as such. Odyssey is spectacular. I've been playing Mario games since the very beginning, so I like to think I know a thing or two about them. Super Mario Odyssey may well be the best 3D Mario game ever made, and it's in my personal top 3 Mario games of all time. As you might've seen advertised, the big new feature is Mario's sentient hat companion Cappy, who lets him possess many of the denizens of the various kingdoms you visit in this adventure. While the highlight of many Super Mario games throughout the years has always been the various suits and power-ups players can get their hands on, being able to outright become many of the creatures you come across is a twist on that formula that lets players do all kinds of new and sometimes unexpected things. While the game is - as expected - family friendly, it provides layers of challenges for players of all ages. Some of the (optional) tasks in the game are outright hair-tearing, for only the most skilled players, but that's part of what achievement is all about! However, while the game is designed to appeal to everyone, Nintendo took the time to add some extra nods to long-time fans, not only in the worlds and the critters/characters you happen across, but through setpieces and a spectacular mid-game musical number that old-timers like me have to appreciate. If you have a Switch, get this game. If you don't have a Switch, get one, and then get this game. Whether you're a new Mario fan or an old one, this is the definitive 3D Super Mario experience.

Wow. Nintendo is pulling out all the stops. This game is absolutely incredible. The best Mario game since Super Mario 64, which I also hold in high esteem. This one pulls on the nostalgia strings while adding so much creativity in gameplay and level design. May be on the difficult end for younger players, but still has a lot to offer for a wide variety of ages. Co-op looks like it'd be fun, but I don't know if I can convince my wife to play.

Great game, easy for everyone to use.But hard to master

I've been playing Mario since I can remember. This is, in my opinion, the best open world Mario game out there hands down. The game play and controls is so tight and rewarding once you master it. The worlds are mixed with things from the past and some welcoming new things. I beat the game in a few sittings and am going back through the worlds again to try and get all the moons. A must play if you're a fan of Mario or platforming at all.

Our whole family enjoys playing this game! We can save our game progress and play from where we finished playing the game. There are 3 players in this home. Our ages vary, from 6 and up, a player will have tons of fun with each colorful board. Mario is a favorite in our household. If you like Mario give it a try ! We love it!

I have quite enjoyed this game. I'm very busy, so it's nice that this is the kind of game I can pick up for 15-30 minutes and feel like I've made some progress (and save it).

well, it was bound to happen. The kids got into Nintendo. Previously, my son played Lego City on XBOX & would watch me play some Forza. On occasion I'd pull out the PS3 and play some Marvel vs Capcom... but I decided he was ready for Mario, Animal Crossing, and Zelda and HO BOY what a rabbit hole we fell into. Since then we've gotten the other Mario Switch games (Maker 2, Paper, 3D All-Stars, etc)... gotten into ROMs, custom Flash games... I suppose cosplay & mushroom-induced hallucinations inside a labyrinth of pipes & toadstools is the logical next step. Anyway, this game is PERFECT: the controls, the music, the gameplay. Previous Mario 3D games seem so janky compared to this, or maybe I'm just bad at old Mario 3D games. Odyssey is one of the greatest games I've ever played, and it made my son appreciate Nintendo as one of our civilizations' greatest brands in human history (I'm not exaggerating. Think about it. Sony, Xbox, all good too, but Nintendo is NINTENDO, man).

Super Mario Odyssey is a fantastic, fun-filled game, reminiscent of Super Mario 64. Although the story does not take very long to complete, the many hours of added content, make this game well worth the money. I found that the levels were very interesting and diverse, which kept me invested in exploring and finding all of the collectibles. I would highly recommend this game to anyone looking to play a fun 3D adventure game.

Mario Odyssey is not only the best Mario game to date but also best game on Switch....period! Levels are really nicely designed and the graphics look great (even in handheld mode). There are ton of places to explore and hidden items to find so this game will keep a player occupied for a long time. I would highly recommend this game to every Switch owner and if you don't own a Switch, buy it just to play this game.

I’ve loved Mario games for decades, but this is one of the best I’ve played. Huge levels with tons of content and an entertaining story all make this a rival for crown of the best Mario game ever. I’m not sure it quite beats Mario 64 for my personal favorite, but it’s certaibly closer, and beats out the Mario Galaxy games quite handily. It’s a must purchase for the Switch, and easily makes the console worth it.

This is why you play videos so you can experience games like this. Between the absolute perfect controls to the creative level design this game is a memorable experience. Have no doubt, this game is worth the hype.

This game does what BOTW did to the Zelda series. It reinvented what it meant to be a Mario game in the best possible way. It is a bit easier than I would've liked especially compared to Zelda, but the fun is in the exploration and amazing world they built. The capture mechanic alone is worth the price of admission, and it made me throw Cappy at everything imaginable. MUST BUY for anyone with a switch.
