It's an overall enjoyable game nothing too groundbreaking in terms of Mario history. The hat adds cool gameplay elements and I hope it becomes a permanent part of Marios arsenal

Bought the Switch for 12 yr old grand daughter for Christmas. Bought this game for her birthday. She loves it... She has an Xbox One and Xbox 360. They do WAY WAY more and the games are way more affordable. You cannot watch Netflix, Hulu, etc., or add apps like Xbox or playstation. I had to pay a lot for an extra docking station for our home since the one with switch stays at her house. Be prepared to shell out a lot of money for this platform. Only advantage is its portable... also very very limited hard drive.

I'm used to playing open world games like Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption. This is in the same line except the G-rated version and maybe that is why I couldn't really get into it. I love Mario games regularly, but this open world concept in Mario didn't feel as good as the more "Mature" games. Still was fun and I would still recommend for Mario fans, but it just wasn't for me and couldn't finish the game. Maybe I'll pick it up again one day.

If you played and liked Super Mario 64 and had any ounce of liking to that game, you're going to have a blast with this one...if you're a completionist you're going to have a really good time with this game...its a huge game packed in this tiny little cart, well worth the price of entry!

Another Super Mario Classic. Super Mario Odyssey adds new features such as "Cappy" to all the classic Super Mario moves and approaches. I loved the retro 2D components as well as the new aspects of the game. This has a variety of difficulty levels for the great gamers as well as newbies!

The new mechanics of playing this game makes it different from other fun Mario games such as Galaxy and Sunshine. If you have a switch get this game. Be warned however the best control method is with each joycon in separate hands. Without it your range of attacks and movement is limited.

Kids loved the game. They have been playing it but they passed it very quickly compared to others. Still another good addition to the Mario library.

The game is very in depth and pretty for Mario. Overall it's a little short and it needs more worlds but I play a good amount and I'm still not totally finihsed just close.

This is a must have for all Switch owners. Nintendo knocked it out of the park again with a extremely well polished game. It's very approachable for all skill levels to complete the game and 100% is a real challenge for those who want a bit more. It's the best Mario game in a long time.

Best But had this at such a great price, I had to get it for my Grandson. He loves it. Great for ages 6 and up…

Before buying this game I thought it wouldn’t be fun, but I was wrong. The game is really good, but it was really easy to beat. The storyline of the game was also very good.

This is very fun game to play with on the Switch. Same old Mario for every version of the games from the beginning if you played Mario before. But good to see Mario to SWITCH.

Game is good/fun, but if you're not the type of person who likes to collect a bunch of stuff, you may want to wait for a sale as the regular playthrough is pretty easy.

This game can seem a little adolescent at first but every time I look around there are all kinds of hidden challenges and opportunities to explore. I love that they integrated the old style game with the new by providing sections to play like the original Mario game. Many hours of fun.

I played this game for 10 minutes at a friend's house and immediately hopped online to buy a Nintendo Switch! So much fun... playing as T-Rex was a highly enjoyable surprise!

Before getting this game all the reviews came in at 9.5-10s. They are on the money. The worlds are huge and colorful. The soundtrack takes u back. The different costumes that unlock different areas, the numerous ways to move (even to break levels), and everything Mario is spectacular.

This was a great game and it was a lot of fun, but it didn’t take long to beat. It would also have been nice if it had a multiplayer option like in Super Mario for the Wii.

I had a lot of fun with this game, not very difficult but very entertaining. I completed the game within a day but I am still missing over 700 moons so a lot to be explored

The switch is great. The build quality is also really good. I tried connecting it with my TV and it worked perfectly well. I really liked the concept of playing on the way plus getting it connected to your TV and also play.

My son love this game he is 8 year old and he can stop play it i buy him other game he still cant stop play it
