Mario for years has been the gold standard of platforming and I'm happy to say that with Mario Odyssey he's back. This game is not only beautiful the controls are awesome. I typically play in Hand-Held so I can't speak much to the 'motion' controls, but the game runs amazingly well in handheld. If you're a fan of platformers or mario this is a must own game for yoru Nintendo Switch.

Got this for my 9 year old for his birthday and he loves it! One feature I was unaware of is that you can set an “assist” mode and an arrow will appear on the screen to tell you which direction to go. He doesn’t really need it but I thought it would be nice to tell those who were thinking of it for a younger child or one less experienced. It definitely held up to his expectations of fun!!!

Wow. One of the best Mario games yet! All of the rave reviews it has received are absolutely warranted -- the game is fantastic. Similar to Breath of the Wild, as you explore each area you'll find something that catches your eye or didn't notice before, so you go investigate and find a puzzle/item/reward of some sort. There's TONS to do in each area. This won't be leaving my Switch for a while!

Much game, good fun. Wow. It poses some difficulty but is still a good play

The game I believe is easy to beat but it takes forever to get all 999 moons to finish all the content in the game. This is when you can truly say that you've beaten the game. Graphics are amazing and the gameplay and controls are top notch. From Mario 64 to the Galaxy, i can say that the games have been improving with each successor. I would highly recommend this game for your library.

This is a very entertaining game from the Mario Bros franchise that is playable in both portable and console mode. The gameplay is very simple yet innovative with an easy-to-follow storyline. The game even allows for cooperative gameplay (one player controls Mario while the other player controls Cappy). Definitely a highly recommended game for new and current Mario Bros fans.

Gift for my grandsons for their birthday and they just love the game and graphics. This game is beyond fun!! It's a little too challenging for my 11 year old though.

Great game and full of great graphics...Mario brothers has always been my favorite

I've been taking my time with this title but when I do play it feels like completely familiar territory with new experiences. I initially thought the whole hat possession thing was gimmicky but it's come to feel so natural in the gameplay. In traditional Mario fashion, exploration is greatly rewarded throughout the game. I love this added level of challenge for the more seasoned players.

The greatest Mario game ever. No debate. It has gotten all the best parts from all previous Mario games and have turned into a great story. You might think it is an easy game but to fully complete the game you will need many many hours and your greatest Mario skills. Strongly recommend an upgraded remote though

Really great Mario game, it’s fun in its own way. Personally I enjoyed Mario Galaxy a lot more, but with the new game mechanic with cappy there’s a lot more to explore. Some of the kingdoms feel pretty empty, and I wish finding the moons was more fun.
