I have played quite a few of the 3D Mario games, with my favorite having to be Mario Sunshine on the Game Cube. With that one, they introduced new mechanics to the old formula and it seemed to work. Nintendo tries to do that again with Odyssey. Using Mario's new friend, Cappy, the player is able to possess creatures and tools to get around the environment. It's an interesting take on the formula and so far has been an enjoyable experience. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys platformers.

My first Super Mario game that I completed was Super Mario Sunshine, and this game is its spiritual successor (along with Super Mario 64). A platforming masterpiece that brought nostalgic tears to my eyes as I played it.

This is the best Mario game since Mario 64. The levels are intricate, enemies both new and old make this game feel amazing. The story itself is standard, princess is taken, Mario must save her. Best part of the game is the end game.

Just like Zelda Breath of the Wild. In my opinion, If the switch only had this game, it would be worth picking up the switch just to play it. Loads of good times already and I haven't even scratched the surface on completing it yet.

This game is absolutely amazing. It's made me smile so much. All of the worlds are beautiful and every outfit you can get makes you want to collect every coin you can find to collect them all. Definitely a must have for Nintendo Switch.

I'm a 36 yo man that hasn't played a Mario since the NES. This game is fun, engaging and just the right amount of challenging for a player way past his video gaming prime. The switch has renewed my love for video games.

good graphics. I'm not much of a game player, so being cappy is good for me. This game is not as fun for people that want a proper two person game since I have to depend on mario to do most of the actions. Also great as one player.

I always hated the fact that Nintendo makes inferior hardware compared to their competitors but one thing they always get right is Mario. This game is awesome to play and brings back the genre. I missed Mario and this is a great game.

This is a fantastic entry in the mario franchise and the best entry since super mario galaxy. Gameplay is tight and polished. Runs at a smooth 60fps. Challenges for all skill levels. One of the must have titles for the Nintendo Switch.

Another classic in line with the Mario games that came before. The use of Mario's cap is a fun innovation, the game itself is beautiful with excellent gameplay. Would highly recommend for any Mario fan or any fan of solid platformers.

It's an semi open world Mario game... what more needs to be said. The controls are tight, the secrets are fun and varied. The best thing you can ever say with a game like this is try everything, you never know what will surprise you...

This game is to the Switch what Mario 64 was to the N64. If you are a Mario fan there is a *lot* to love here. Throwbacks to the original 2D games as well as tons of new characters and abilities that take 3D Mario to a whole new level.

They happen to be Super Mario Odyssey and Legend of Zelda, Breath of the WILD. Just when you think Mario couldn't get any better the most subtle feature becomes his most powerful tool (aka) Cappy!!! A must have family friendly GAME!!!

This is a must purchase if you have a switch or thinking about purchasing one GET it. My first game i ever played was super Mario bros on the nes this brings me back to my childhood and reminds me so much of mario64 and Mario sunshine.

My granddaughters love this game and spend more time on it than might be best, but it's addictive!

I feel like I'm going to play this game for years as I slowly go thru the different worlds finding stuff on my own. My only knock against it is that all moons in a world aren't immediately available and it isn't due to player skill.

Mario Odyssey is fantastic from beginning to end. Taking cues from the classic Mario 64, Odyssey presents the player with wide open areas loaded with interesting creatures and amazing secrets. A must buy for any Nintendo Switch owner.

Overall a great game. Has a lot of cameos and references to old Mario games. Game is fairly simple to beat, but then it gets REALLY hard
