Grandson asked for this as his special Christmas gift. We are thrilled to be able to get it for him!!

Very small game inflated with a ridiculous amount of useless nonsense to do (sound familiar? *cough*BreathOfTheWIld*cough*). The game is 'beaten' in a very short amount of time, but then you have another 500 or so items to find because... I dunno... you just have nothing better to do? In the next Mario game they should just make 'Win' an option on the menu so you can see the endgame and be done with it, and then go back and 'complete' the game at your leisure. That really is the next logical step. Combine this with clumsy controls that frequently eat inputs and terrible level design in which you will often find there is no good camera angle to see how to land a jump, and you have a recipe for frustration. And making 'waggle' a core mechanic with no button mapped to it (homing cap throw) means the game is unplayable in the standard mobile configuration with the joycons docked (unless you really like shaking the screen you are looking at, and even then it rarely triggers), so if you want to play on the go (one of the main selling points for the Switch), you need a table to set the screen on so you can detach the controllers. I like the Switch as a platform. I want to see it be succeed. But we're going on 8 months now and there are no good games for it. I'm starting to regret purchasing one.

Too easy. Legend of Zelda it’s not. More of a 10 y/o and under game

I appreciate that you can play the game in short bursts and dont need to worry about devoting a ton of time to following the story.

this game has a lot of puzzles to go and get things. you have to go all around areas to collect what you need to move to the next place. I don't want to spoil it but hey, its fun

Mario odyssey is a good game i recommend it to the nintendo people that want to play adventure games.

I played this game for about 2 hours before getting bored of it. Not as fun as I hoped it would be.

I bought this game for preteen boys that enjoy Mario games. They had this one completed within 24 hours. It was not challenging enough.

3rd favorite mario game (Super Mario Bros. 3 is the best, followed by Super? Mario World)

No exactly what I was looking for in a classic Mario game but has its moments.

This is a pretty enjoyable game. I would like for everyone to pick this up if they can.

I enjoy it when I play it but it’s also very easy to put down and not pick up again for days /weeks

The game is fun. I like that they are bringing games like this back. I didn't care for the complexity of the controls.

Similar to past Mario games but fun to play on the Switch. A worthy purchase.

The switch is what it is, a Nintendo “iPad”. My 7-year-old loves it but games are expensive and it’s just not that special.

One of the best Mario games out there. A lot of worlds to explore and new abilities to learn. This game rewards you for being adventurous. Great for all ages
